Episode 116 Discussion: 2nd Nov 2012

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.

Episode Discussion -EOD summary

Events of the Episode:

RK and Madhu watching the Mr.India movie together. RK goes to sleep. Madhu finds him cute and comes close to him to arrange his shawl and pillow. RK opens his eyes and Madhu caught looking at him. In the background, the sexy "Kaate nahin katthe" song from Mr.India is playing. Awkwardness sets in. Both confess they do not like the song. Madhu asks RK to fast forward. Remote doesn't work. Madhu tries to turn off projector, it doesn't shut off. Madhu wants to go away. RK says film still is running.
We now jump to scene 2 in quick succession. Biwi and Miyan come to understanding that they don't like the second thing about the movie. They don't like Tina getting killed. Madhu starts remembering about Malik how he used to FF that part of the movie. That makes her tell how he has always protected them and is such a wonderful father even though not a biological father. Bond forged through trust is higher than being bonded through birth.
RK asks Madhu to tell him about her biological father. Madhu tells him the story how he was the darinda who wanted to kill her because she was going to his doom. How Padmini ran away from Mutihari and came to Mumbai.
Madhu again then has to say bitter words to RK, he will never understand what is love and how he insulted Malik her father and leaves the room. RK gets miffed that he did not insult Malik
There in Chawl, as Padmini thinks what happened to Malik. he enters all drunk and closes the door. Padmini gets nervous and soon Malik blurts out that he would like to take RK's life. He picks up the vegetable cutting knife.
Knock knock on Malik's residence @ chawl. Padmini opens and sees RK and Madhu standing there. RK tells Padmini and Malik that Madhu was very upset at their leaving that she didn't even eat. So he brought Madhu to visit her Maayka for 2 days.
RK wants to talk to Malik in private. Both men talk outside in the balcony. RK tells Malik that he did not tell anything to Madhu because he understands why Malik tried to kill him, that Madhu won't be able to handle it and that RK has not been good with his deeds towards Malik and family. He seeks truce with Malik and tells Malik that let bygones be bygones. They hug and Madhu sees it and is happy.

THE SHIRT CHANGING MOMENT,

Dips ruining Mads saree,

RK-Mads fight,

Puja,

Police at RK's house,

RK trapping the killer,

RK-Malik intense dialogues,

RK not taking meds,

Mads not eating,

RK-Mads fight AGAIN,

watched a movie,

supposedly awkward moment between them,

Mads flashback,

RK driving down to chawl,

RK-Malik intense talk AGAIN and finally on Monday who knows what will happen

What a fool cv's made us all😆...the most dreaded separation track...RK leaves his pyaari

biwi at her babul...2 days ki lambi judai🤣...good one cv's...

okay tell me.

How many of you felt that today's RK was looking like a B grade Film star of regional movies and not the super star RK in the second part of the episode?

Didn't you all feel that extremely sweetened RK was not like Dominoes Sugar but was more like Sweet and Low ? Nothing natural about the sweetness. And did you all listen how that sweet was said ?

And a Hug with Sasurjee ????

Seriously...now are all Fridays going to be like this ...Over the board material ???

I refuse to acknowledge today's episode. I would just think somehow magically Madhu got transported into Chawl so that Shamsher is caught and Dips can seduce RK. Where is all this leading to ?

OMG!!! Not again. A story going down the drain.

RK has made all peace with Madhu and Shamsher. End of his own challenge to himself...Kismet ki lakiron ko mitaana chaahta hoon, And janaab ko pata hi nahin ke woh haar chuke.

RK is gone nuts !!! I just refuse to believe that such an episode was telecasted.

And O Womaniya mania has reached Madhubala Police as well. They are chanting Policiya !

Okay inspite of being bad episode material, the dialogues, some of them were guffaw-worthy. But then, we never wanted our hero to do a slap-stick comedy. I was thinking that this much classier than that...comedy of manners.

So even you enjoy an evil RK more than a sweetened one. Nobody seems to like a RK that would go to any lengths to make Madhu smile even hug the person who tried to kill him

Chill yaar.. Next week maza ayaga... Dipz seducing RK... 😆... ANd i really dont think RK has turn into Rishad yet... He still has all the sarcasm in his dialogue...😆😆.. I kinda like the scene with RK and Malik...

but look at the difference in RK something has changed

he loved to torture Madhu

and now he just wants to see her at peace

maybe because he can relate to her feelings for her father because he loved his own a lot

I am never prejudiced in spiting terms. Even what I enjoy and hate, I draw lines between the objective and subjective perceptions. Today's episode ...construction wise...RK and Madhu scene just popped up. And RK going to any lengths to Madhu...just in one day , one evening and one night...shown to be in the black shirt across 5 days of the week, doesn't all that mean I was repeatedly being stamped that "Shridevi you are watching the story occuring all within the same day...where the day never ends and the night never ends."

Dhai ghante ki movie dekh daali miyaan biwi ne, aur Padmini ab bhi dining table pe tarkari kaat rahi hain. Aaadhi raat ko sabji banayengi.!!!

I mean show some sense. There is a thing called denouement, a catharsis. But the catharsis they showed today, it was like ...lo this is the fast track THE END of the movie.

Change clothes. Show to me that RK feels all the remorse over a span of few days and not a span of hours. Ghanton mein kiska gussa kam hua hai ya kisne shaanti se kaam kiya hai.

And RK turning sweet in such a RAPID FIRE style...is he RK or RIshabh Kundra or what ? Does RK look like a man who will hugs for good reasons ? He can give hugs to embellish his superstar image...but this one to one man talk on the balcony of a chawl, where surprisingly there is no CHAHAL PAHAL, no one is sleeping outside to hear anything.

All in all very crudely constructed episode.

And lastly, never I have thought of RK as the dark hero or evil hero. I mock him as anti-hero when compared to all other so called good men of the show, but truly speaking I see him just as one character who is very convinced about himself. The pride of a self-made man. That appeals to me.
