Madhubala Rishabh Kundra was such a delight today ' no tears, no aggression, no hatred, no disgust , no judgments . Her face was such a myriad of tenderness today and her eyes such windows of luminous curiosity. Everytime she looked at Rishabh today ' there was warmth, empathy , so many questions, such wonderstruck starry eyes and a silent sentiment that seemed to say that am sorry all this crap happened to you and the crap that is happening right now , but let me see you as you are and not what you pretend to be. Just like Elena had told a demonic and broken Stefan during her sane times - Don't hide from me. It's really silly and cute in a way but today, it seemed like Maddy wanted to say sorry to Rishabh on everyone's behalf - for the lost childhood and lost life, for the life of an orphan, for all that happened with him and to him. Stupid much? Its Maddy who is the injured party here with Rishabh having made total bhaajipaala of her life - yet, for her, today, Rishabh was the injured party and she wanted to make him feel better. Good people and their goodness. Now, you know why you have never forgotten anyone who was selflessly kind to you for even 5 minutes. Rishabh's one night of goodness and vulnerability has tied Maddy's heart to him - not in love yet but in empathy and compassion.
Rishabh Kundra was a vintage example of what we call being between devil and the deep sea. The devil is he himself and his created world - tragedy, heartbreak, pain, devastation , arrogance, pride, vices, self programmed villainy.Deep sea - His vulnerability, innocence and honour that makes it awkward for him to put his hands on her bare back, his unshed tears , his dying heart and his unsaid desperation to be loved and taken care of. Does he regret opening his heart to his black magic woman? Yes. Is he terrified that Maddy will want to see and discover the Rishabh she saw and met at the studio? Yes. Does he see every positive emotion as alms, mercy and sympathy? Yes. Does he think that if anyone will try to be nice to him, its some kind of emotional abuse to him? Yes. Rishabh can read his darling wife like the back of his hand - her eyes and her heart he always knows them, without her saying a single word. So, the moment he got an inkling that Maddy was going to feel bad for him , or look for that sensitive Rishabh , he reverted to his villainy and darkly told her not to look at him with those eyes. It was a weak moment and its over - I am a wild boar for you , always. These are forewarnings for Madhubala. If Rishabh got so defensive and cranky at the very thought that Maddy could feel sympathy, imagine the devastation he will cause if Maddy falls in love with him? I guess wo uskee doosri taang bhi todh degaa.
Inspite of these polar differences between the attitudes and hearts of the two , you cannot miss the strong bond and the fierce mutual protection society between the two.
Rishabh may push , pull, yank around Maddy in his villainous mode, grab her waist, arms, pin her to walls, check her out like a man . But when he is not being a jerk, his honour for Maddy comes gushing to the surface. Today, he keeps the guards and BittuG out of Maddy's sight because she is not appropriately dressed. He himself clips the curtains so that she can change back into her saree. He finds it awkward to touch her back even if to tie her strings. Possessive as he is by now, he covers her back with her sari. He is the same man who was parading and seducing his wife in front of 100s of people last night.
Rishabh had promised a lifetime of pain and angst to Maddy but he cannot even put up with a single cut on her body or even that single wince on her face when she is in pain. He may not love her but he is possessive about her as an owner that he would keep her on feather pillows if the need arises- his torture is emotional so that he doesn't have to see it unlike her bleeding hands and feet which unsettle him. Rishabh feels a tender responsibility towards his Barbie Doll and his basic goodness kicks out his arrogance and goes running to Maddy. Today, there was no way he could take Maddy's unsteady painful walk -he had just accused her and bajaaoed her, yet he carried her in his arms. The way he carries her out of the studio , keeping the press at bay , has no qualms in carrying her up the stairs to her mother even if the whole world is watching, gathers her up in his arms after milliseconds of bashing her -Now, shut up and walk! , gives two hoots about her 'main chal sakti hoon' and carries her back to the beast palace , not caring who is watching and who is thinking what. The look of - ' get lost and lay off my wife' that he gives Dipz and takes Maddy away in his arms ' -all this says just one thing. Rishabh may take long to love Maddy and a lifetime to admit it , but for him, even if a plaything or a 40lakh toy, Madhubala is his only relative and his only connection to life. And no, nobody can take her away from him. Fierce protection. Abnormal obsession. And he just has to keep marking her as his own - he shamelessly tells his family in a tharkey way that him and Maddy got hot and heavy at the studio. Ya, right!
Maddy - compassionate , kind , affectionate , all-encompassing Maddy. The moment Rishabh crumbled for a few minutes, her heart and her kindness magnet connected to him. Suddenly, she was so washed down by his tragedy that she kicked aside all of his villainy and the storm that he had caused in her life and she put Rishabh first. For the first time on her life , she put Rishabh and his wounds ahead of herself and her own pain. Throughout, it was like Rishabh's needs to be healed and hugged were much more important than her own suffering which this very man has brought. Till the end of today's episode, Maddy kept trying to think of something to tell Rishabh - something that will make him feel better , something that will stop the hurt that bothers him. You can almost imagine her saying 'sorry' to him on everyone's behalf for the past 17 years. That is Maddy and her marshmallow heart. Its an indication that even in future, she will always put Rishabh first -even ahead of her own self. His villainy had broken her heart and his anguish broke that heart again.
Maddy's eyes speak volumes - always. Today, they did and so did her body language. There is such a sense of security in her as she loops her arms around Rishabh's neck when he carries her out of the studio - the shutterbugs are almost coming down on her like hawks but she is unaware and she doesn't care. She just keeps looking at Rishabh with the kind of tenderness that will never let that old hatred for him come back. If she keeps looking at him like that , she will fall in love with him - with the man you saw in the studio. Its almost like she was telling him that its okay to be vulnerable and I may not understand you but I will protect you - and it comes forth when Paddy is about to go charging at Rishabh but Maddy comes in between and shields him - protecting him from her mother's abuse and standing up for him even though he was the one at fault - surprising Rishabh with her kindness but also sending him running to hide in his fort.
As for the rest of the episode, Dips is sassy and saucy and in all probability, Rishabh's sister-in-law but clearly, he hates her and he didn't like Dips even looking at Maddy or talking to her. I like Dips - not pretty but attractive and deep. Kyun be Sicky, teri hi item hai na?
All in all, I loved today's episode ' such a sensitive bonding between Rishabh and Maddy but not without the promise of inevitable heartbreak and suffering.
Best Moment: Rishabh giving Dips' a 'back off' look and carrying Maddy away from her and all of them. There was such a 'she is mine' written all over that. And to think, he is not even in love with her. Twisted much?😆
BTW, DD ko bahot saare free ke jhoole mile aaj aur VD ko bahot saari mehnat.🤣
