The Genesis: Aise woh is duniya mein aayegi
Holla!
First things first , before I dissect the first day and first show of this serial. My , my! Who is this fabulous fabulous super fabulous actress by the name of Pallavi Subhash? I have never seen her work before but today , for those 1 hour 10 minutes , I was blown away by her act. As the Chhoti Chaudhrain Padmini ' that woman was such a dose of powerhouse talent. You could feel every emotion that she felt ' from the fear of her evil husband to her one courageous step that saved her , Trishkoo and Madhu. More on her later but trust me , if you are not a fanatic fan , you won't even miss DVD in the opening episode. From start to finish , you just hope and pray that the delicate 8 months pregnant Paddy escapes the slaughter house alive with Trishkoo and MB , the latter being in her womb.
Coming to FDFS, well, nothing astoundingly great on the script level ' but the performances of stalwarts like Shagufta Ali as the son-obsessed sadist Badi Chaudhrain, Raj Zutshi as the debauch psycho Balraj Chaudhary , Sushmita Mukherjee as the golden hearted Daai Maa BLOW you away. The scenes are well written, every nuance has been looked into ' right from the lighting , the setting , the walk, talk and mannerisms of the characters to some superb moments in direction. Raj Zutshi has improvised a lot on his act of an evil wicked man- the man evokes terror ' SERIOUSLY. Dialogues and the tight grip on the tension of the scenes is exemplary in scenes of Balraj Chaudhary playing hunting-hunting with his own daughter , in Pallavi's sheer horror to what could happen with her if she gives birth to a girl , Balraj's mental and emotional torture of her and Pallavi's scenes with Daai Maa ( one scene could really move you when Pallavi leaves the haweli with Trishkoo and Daai Maa tells her that it's a balance of some other lifetime ),
In a nutshell, the story sets gates for the entry of MB and the kind of life she will have. She is in the womb of a tortured , scared but courageous woman ' nobody wants her to take birth except Padmini and Daai Maa, a lie by Daai Maa saves her and Padmini from danger ' the entire environment of her mother's pregnancy is wrought with darkness, evil, terror and a devilish act. MB will be born to a woman who broke the golden cage of her evil husband and grew wings to flee . She is in the womb of a beautiful resilient woman who has the heart of an ocean that even took Trishkoo under her wings even though she is not her flesh and blood. Maybe MB will never know what hell her mother went through so that she could live and Trishkoo could know what it is to grow up and live a life. But MB's presence in Padmini's womb has brought turbulence , disturbance and pain all around. It is an indicator of what kind of a life Mahdhu will have ' a proper matinee show that would have tears , drama, and a sad pall on it.
Balraj Chaudhary and his sadist slow poison Mom have already killed Trishkoo's Mom, abused and bashed little Triskhoo to no end, mentally strained Padmini ' and if a son is not born, it would be the end of the road for Padmini and her daughter. On top of that , a respected saint who has read how evil the senior Chaudharies are , categorically tells them that if a son is born, Balraj would be happy man but if a girl is born ' she will rise to the stars and her rise will be Balraj's fall. This drives the psycho even madder and its hurtful to see how he pushes around Padmini demanding to know what is in her womb. But an angel disguised as evil comes to Paddy's rescue ' not only she lies to the psychos that it's a son in Paddy's womb , she even motivates and rescues Padmini who finally shows a streak of courage and escapes her psycho husband and sadist saasu maa.
The struggle of the woman to get to the railway station and her entire escape from her husband 's tattoos marks her freedom. And as you near the ends of FDFS, Padmini brings the MB in her womb into lights-camera 'action''
Aise woh iss duniya mein aayegi'.
Scenes that you should NOT miss:
1. Balraj Chaudhary being a sadist father and using his Trishkoo as a target holder . He is a torturous father and Raj plays it to the hilt.
2. Balraj Chaudhary's psycho streak in both hating and loving his wife Padmini. The man does give you shivers and you can already go into flash forwards ki future mein ye MB ka kya haal karega.
3. Daai Maa asking a scared Paddy to show her how she walks , feeling her womb and announcing that Paddy has a son in her womb. Sushmita Mukherjee is too good as the angel in disguise and you have to see how perfect is Pallavi's pregnant walk.
4. Daai Maa being the guardian angel for Paddy and releasing her from the hellish haweli.
5. The entire Ganpati sequence where Padmini shows some courage and manages to dodge her husband's goons.
6. The last frame of lights-sound-camera-action. So futuristic.
Well, I want to give the FDFS a 10/10 but I cannot. Reason being : its indigestible that an 8 months pregnant woman can run like that without food or water in the past 24 hours. Woh creative liberty zaraa zyada ho gayi. So, I will settle for a 7.5/10. Scenes are nothing out of the box but the PERFORMANCES demand a standing ovation.
All actors were like butter in cast ' absolute perfection but the actress who stood out for me is Pallavi Subhash as Padmini. What a range as an actress and she is unconventionally stunning. So, here's to you , my lady ' APPLAUSE AND RESPECT OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
P.S- Guys, you have Sonali Jaffer and Gautam Hegde on the writers' team . These two always show just temporary spark and then, fizzle out. So, hoping that the producers and the channel keep a tight leash on them . And more than that , its better if the rest of the writers' team does the brainwork and they keep shut. Mods may warn me for saying this but I have seen enough of their work to know how much and what they can deliver.
P.P.S ' Special mention to Mr.Ravinder Gautam. He is a terrific director aur jab takk sahi shot nahiin miltaa, pack up hone nahiin dete. His shot taking and improvisation on script is too good. Just see how he has directed the GANPATI sequence , captured the grandeur of the haweli and that road chase between Paddy-Trishkoo and the goons. The episode seems shot under pressure but even then, it's a reasonably good job.
Love and luck always,❤️
GOD bless everyone. 🤗
