Padmini(madhu's mother) ran away from balraj (her husband) coz if he wud hav known that she was carrying a girl child den they both wud hav been killed. Trishna(Madhu's sister) is padmini's step daughter.. they ran and now live in the chaul as junior artistes and Trishna wants to become a heroine.

Madhu worked in a parlour...She met mukund.. He got hit by a car... which was RK's. And madhu filed a case against him. She made him go to jail for 3 days and RK started his plan on revenge, Meanwhile madhu and mukund fall in love and decide to get married. There marriiage breaks due to RK's planning and plotting. She loses her job. When her father, SHamsher mallik( who is like their god and not their real father) goes to RK... his men beat him up severely and he ends up in teh hospital. For the operation they need 40 lakhs. Madhu is angry and she slaps RK. he is furious. he makes a deal with her that if she marries him, he'll give 40 lakhs. So she marries him and obeys him.
