let's play a game; take a shot every time someone says, "hume apki kabiliyat pe koi shak nahi hai.", "i am proud of you.", "haseena ji ek bohot hi (insert adjectives) hai.", "karishma singh garam dimaag wali hai.", "hamare lalla ke toh bhaag hi phoot gaye."- you will be wasted by the end of the episode.

also, Karishma tearing up when telling the DSP that badnam couldn't be involved with terrorists and that if he is guilty, she won't spare him was a neat detail. IDK if it was intentional or not but the nuanced way to show how much they trust and value badnam was good.

also is it just me or has the characters been missing in certain scenes. like billu from the whole badnam being a terrorist plotline, santu from the undercover part, cheetah and santu from the beginning of 499, haseena in the fan scene and there are a few other instances but I can't recall them right now. i know there are probably behind the scenes reasons (covid restrictions). but it's kind of irritating when they disappear with no explanation whatsoever (from a storytelling perspective, they are supposed to be there.). Santosh's prolonged absence when Bhavika was in Thailand and billu's current absence wasn't given an in universe explanation like haseena's absence now. it's a minor detail but annoying nonetheless because I have to keep headcannoning a reason (some of them take a dark turn).

so finally caught up with all the episodes (except for today's).

i liked the callbacks from the initial episodes (joe jacobs, not telling Pushpa Ji the truth, my masumiyat imitating haseena- more on this later)

I am lowkey amazed at how they managed to include Pushpa Ji ka lalla into the track but have him not actually be present in the scene. kudos to the creatives for that.

Karishma ranting about her mother in law to her mother in law thinking it's her husband 🤣i think they are finally going back to the old dynamic between them. Pushpa Ji seems to have toned down her rants and is behaving nicely with Karishma. she came back to the station early so her daughter in law could spend time with Pushpa Ji ka Lalla adn agreed to marry again just for their sake. this is the bond I respect and adore.

but, I have a bad feeling that Pushpa Ji is going to be heartbroken by the mission. at first, I didn't find it surprising cause expected this behaviour from haseena. however, I didn't think Karishma would actually go through with it. then again, I do understand where they are coming from. Pushpa ji ki overacting ka tofaan sabko uda le jaiyga.

after thinking about it for a while, I realised that what they are doing to Pushpa Ji is similar to what ehsaas wala pyar did to haseena. not completely but enough for me to be saddened. if that wasn't justified then this isn't too. marriage is a huge commitment and Pushpa Ji seems so reluctant to do it. by lying to her and playing with her feelings, MPT is making the same mistake haseena did. when Pushpa ji finds out, it's going to hurt and rightfully so. now, some might say that they did it before with the pregnancy thing. I agree to a certain extent. the difference here is that this time they are proactively making Pushpa Ji commit to something she isn't in favour of (she went to see prospective grooms and that's huge even if it's all a charade) and it's being prolonged.

on the bright side, it could trigger Pushpa ji's dormant feelings of betrayal that she has yet to show. maybe then we will finally get a confrontation scene.

also, billu the spy has become billu the ganta. koi bhi ata hain aur baja ke chala jata hain. he got rejected at the altar but I feel bad. idk if I've said this before but I didn't like him getting slapped by Pushpa Ji and haseena for no good reason.

chandani shouldn't feel obligated to stay in the marriage with a prick like that man who is clearly in search of a trophy wife. I hope team MPT restore her self confidence/ self-esteem so she knows her worth and doesn't settle for anything lesser be it from her husband or anyone else.

the callback or rather parallel to the scene where my masumiyat imitated haseena was once again speaking of the character development she went through.

when that scene first happened, Karishma was standing behind santu (supporter) with haseena in front guiding her (guru). this time, she went to stand behind Karishma and explained what they should do. it's not so much of a role reversal but more of a gesture to show that she has grown to be able to take that position if needed. haseena although still standing in front of her, didn't need to tell her word for word on what to do. she didn't need anyone to spoon-feed her/hold her hand through the process. she knew what to do/say.

on a side note, haseena is so reluctant to just act out getting hitched. how is it going to happen when aman comes into the picture?

oh my gosh... Nawab Sahab on reverse gear seeing the gun. I watched his station scene more than 3 times. hats off to this actor. 🤣🤣🤣

But on a serious note, I am so mad at both Haseena and Karishma. What both of them did with Pushpa ji was really wrong. My heart wept for my Pucchu in the scene at the station and that emotion was so raw. 😭😭This just cannot be justified. I wish Pushpa ji could have gotten really mad at both of them but unfortunately, it got away as a joke. I am completely on the same page as Rinki on this.

Now the parts I appreciated. I am glad Haseena made the girl realize the point where she was at fault effortlessly. I am also, hoping the girl rejects this marriage despite the fact that, that useless husband of hers learns his lesson. Lowkey, I'd be disappointed if they end up together. Anyway, let's see what happens next.

Didn't watch yesterday's episode....I'll catch up with the episode and then give my two cents on this and the Lucy track...
