Brij says he will have to think about the marriage.Durga tells him that if her son will get married to anyone its only to his daughter Rajji.She tells him to think about it.She says she will herself call to know the answer.She leaves.
After sometime the phone rings.Mohini(a.k.a. Kashmeeran,Mahi's mom) tells Brij that they should reject such a match but Nani-maasi tells him that he should reconsider because she came and apologised.Brij picks up the phone and Durga asks for his decision.He rejects it out-right.Durga is shocked.She keeps the phone and informs evryone that proposal has been rejected.DD(Durga's husband) says that if you hurt someone before and then try to console it never works.Jeet tells durga its all her fault.One of his sister chutki gets up and asks him what did mom do wrong?She went and apologised even after they are from the boy's family.Still they did not budge.Its their fault and they dont want girl from such a family to come in Khurana house.
Nani-maasi is still trying to persuade Brij to accept the proposal but Mohini suggests against it.Mohini says she doesnt want her daughter to go in such a house where she will have to reside with a female like Durga.Nani says she never got married and maybe thats why doesnt know what its like.She bought up Mohini like her own and found her own Maayka in Brij's house.Its very important for a girl to get married at the right time.Brij tells her that its not the last proposal Rajji will have.Nani tells him in a small town every proposal is last proposal.At this time Mohini sees the girls coming home.
Mahi tells them that Veer and his brother had come to meet Rajji in college but Rajji did not talk to them.Brij gets emotional and tells Rajji that though he did not earn a lot of money in his life,he only values his dignity which shall never be harmed.Rajji hugs him with tears in her eyes and goes.Mahi also has tears and dupatta is still on her head.Brij removes the dupatta from her head and tells that her punishment is over.
Jeet,Veer,their dad and their other sister are sitting in a room in a pensive mood.His sister says that A girl like Rajji will never come in a house which ruled by a mom like their's.His dad says its all his fault because he never interfered with whatever Durga did and she got a free reign.He tells Veer not to repeat his mistake and do what his herat wants.
Rajji is putting clothes for drying and Mahi and soni are sitting on a swing.Mahi nudges Soni and soni says that this incident did not effect Rajji at all.Mahi says ofcourse not.It was not like a love marriage,it was just an arranged marriage.But dont you find it strange that Rajji didi was blushing before and now she looks sad.Rajji guesses that Mahi is testing her and lets her know that.Mahi asks her about her feelings.Rajji says its dad's decision and her da's secision is Gurbani for her.She will never go against her dad and all the three sisters hug.Brij hears this and gets emotional.
Everyone is having breakfast and Mohini gives roti to Rajji.Rajji doesnt want more.Nani says that its Maaykeki roti which is made with love and it is this love with which a girl decorates her in-laws house.
Veer and Jeet enter the house.Brij comes near them.Veer tell him that he knows that a daughter is given in a house by looking at the family but the most important person is the guy himself.If he takes an oath of protecting his wife then nobody can ever bother her.He says that even though their house is for two daughters it was always a Sasural.From the day he saw Rajji he came to know that she will turn their house inot a Maayka.When a couple takes seven pheras,the first three pheras are taken with the groom in front.this is to tell the girl that he will always be responsible for her and then the bride moves forward to share his responsibility.He wants to share this responsibility with Rajji.Listening to his heart felt speech Brij gives in and accepts his proposal.Veer steals a glance of Rajji and Rajji blushes.They leave.
Durga and her daughter chutki are looking at a photograph and durga says a would be daughter-in-law should be from a high class family.They are admiring the way she is dressed up and the jewellery she is wearing.Durga thanks God that Brij rejected the proposal.They show the photo to DD and he mockingly admires the photo and says after she comes in the house the whole house will look warm and friendly.Veer comes in declares tha Brij has accepted the proposal and Durga is shocked.
