The most awaited show 'The Making of John Abraham 2007 Calendar' (Zee Muzic) will be on air soon. Shot on the beaches of Goa, it will have photographer Subi Samuel capturing John, baring his six-pack abs for the black and white calendar. The show will air on January 14 and will repeat on January 27.
Makrand's 'Risk' fascination
After shooting for Vishram Sawant's 'Risk', actor Makrand Deshpande found the title track 'Lakhon karodon mein koi leta hai risk' so enthralling that he has named his upcoming play 'Karodon Main Ek'.
In 'Risk' Makrand plays Hari, right hand of the Don Khalid (Vinod Khanna). Actor Yashpal Sharma, who plays the Don's brother, is also Hari's friend in the film. Incidentally, Makrand and Yashpal share a great rapport off screen too.
Back on track
Last Sunday night, actors Dharmendra and Neil Nitin Mukesh shot for the film 'Johnny Gaddaar', on the Mumbai Central station for Shriram Raghavan's film 'Johnny Gaddaar'. All scenes were successfully canned.
It may be recalled that it was around the same location where director Kaizad Gustad's assistant Nadia Khan, a British-Pakistani, was hit by a speeding train. Kaizad was then shooting for his film 'Bombay Central' (May 25, 2004).
'Maayka' beckoning Joining the league of Zee's woman-centric-shows, ('Betiyann', 'Dulhann', 'Kasamh Se', 'Saat Phere'), is the new show 'Maayka', to go on air on January 15. The setting is that of an affluent Punjabi family.
Sudhir Pandey plays Brij Mohan, a traditional Punjabi businessman. Nandita Puri plays his wife Moni Malhotra. The show also includes actors Urmila Kanitkar, Aarti Singh and Neha Bamb playing the three Malhotra daughters—Soni, Mahi and Raaji respectively.
'Don' goes metallic
Bhushan Kumar of T-series has launched a special pack of 'Don' DVDs and CDs. The limited edition pack, having a metallic look, has been circulated only amongst select people. Bhushan's wife, Divya Khosla says, "We wanted to launch a pack that went with the theme of the film. So we designed it in metal and in black and white.
It's been specially made in Denmark. It is expensive too (Rs 500 per pack)." She adds, "We are planning to do something unique for our next film, 'Salaam-e-Ishq' too. But since it is a romantic film, the pack will definitely will be more colourful." Bhushan has presented about 10 of these packs to Shah Rukh Khan and five to Priyanka Chopra.
Dippshika's destination is Dubai
Actor Dippshika is all set to fly to Dubai as part of the cast of Paritosh Painter's play 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil' (Part 2) which premieres in Dubai on January 19. The actor has replaced actor Rupali Ganguly, she being involved with the 'Bigg Boss' (Sony) show.
The play is about three challenged young people—Shree (Ashish Roy) is Blind, Aditya (Paritossh Painter) is deaf and Manav (Jayesh Thakkar) is dumb.
