Amar Upadhyay, better known as Mihir of 'Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi' is quite humble and polite. "I have been modelling since college and have done various commercials. After that I decided to take up teleserials," said Amar. He got his first break in ' Dekh Bhai Dekh' a comedy serial. After that there was no looking back for him. "Had the serials not come in way, I might have taken up theatre." Books are his source of inspiration and he loves reading Jeffery Archer and Sydney Sheldon. He has also starred in movies like 'Dhund-The Fog', 'LOC' and 'Wah Wah Ram Ji'. "I always try to be realistic in my scenes and I will like to play a negative role like Akshay Khanna played in 'Humraaz' and Ajay Devagn in 'Deewangee'.
Twenty-nine-year-old Amar is married and have two kids. "You won't believe me. It was an arrange marriage" said Amar smilingly.
