Twinkle Bajpai upset with Chetan Hansraj

The buzz in the industry suggests that actress Twinkle Bajpai is upset with Chetan Hansraj over his behaviour with her partner Puneet in Kaun Jeetega Ticket To Bollywood. Twinkle told us what has her so angry with the actor.
"I was upset with fact that I was not well that day and because of all this our time was wasted. I wanted to finish shooting early that day. After watching whatever is going on I was pretty upset that I could not go early. Chetan is senior actor…why will I be upset with him? In fact I respect him," says the actress.
Did you hurt yourself during the fight?

"Yes my earring broke. Actually Chetan pulled Puneet and while doing that I got hurt. I have an allergy with imitation jewelry so my ear was already swollen and when the ring broke it started bleeding…that's all. However now everything has been sorted."

Twinkle who is also playing Vaidehi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is getting a good response for her negative character.

"I was and I am still excited about this show. I never thought that this character will get an identity again in one month. I do not know who has given them my number but everyday I receive lots of calls saying they like my character so much and why I have become negative and I should not do this and that."

"My hair dresser too asked me why I am behaving badly with all the Viranis in show. So getting such a huge response for a character which is just one month old is a great thing. I still remember my first day and now I have become very habitual to this set. All my co-stars Mouni, Reshmii, Shilpa have become my good friends and Baa gives me her blessings everyday when I come on the sets," adds Twinkle.

Praising her icon Smriti Irani she says, "I was a bit nervous when I was going for my first scene with Smritiji. I will not lie but I have always looked up to her and doing a scene with her was like wow! But she came to me and told me be relax and then everything was fine. She is a very nice person…on set also she comes and talks to us and sometimes even gives me compliments that I am looking pretty today."

Twinkle Bajpai who was last seen Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan as Laxmi is right now busy with the two shows and not willing to take up anymore work.

Twinkle Bajpai walks out of Bollywood Ka Ticket

The 2 August episode of Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket will come as a shock to viewers as the Central Zone jodi of Twinkle Bajpai and Puneet walk out of the show. Twinkle decided to quit the show after it was announced that they were in the bottom two.

Twinkle informs, "I always was against the format where you have your co-participants voting against you. There were tensions between me and Mihika Verma from day one and unnecessarily Karan Patel and Chetan Hansraj jumped into our fight to support Mihika. I believe Chetan being the seniormost actor must act his age."

Talking about the feud she says, "Mihika was not happy with the way the judges rated me and said that my performance was overrated. I think one must not question judges' verdict. When I came in the bottom two I was sure that I would be voted out so I decided to walk out of the show."

The debate escalated when the Northern Zone mentor Amrita Singh told Twinkle that what she did was not in the right spirit.

Twinkle adds, "People asked me why I had decided to walk out when I was in the danger zone but never thought of it when I happily voted out two contestants. Honestly I have voiced my displeasure every now and then and it is not just me who had issues with the format. Though a majority of them had issues noone had the courage to voice them in the open," replies the actress.

"I believe the format was used by the contestants to vote out the least favourite co-participant. I am thankful to Balaji for understanding me as they have not questioned me till now. I believe that even they were aware that I would be voted out," Twinkle informs.

After she decided to quit, the Eastern Zone mentor Shabana Azmi commented that since she is part of the show she should put her chin up and face the music rather than run away from the battle. But Twinkle insisted that she was always against the format and today her sixth sense told her that today she would be in the bottom two and eventually voted out.

Central Zone mentor Zeenat Aman also tried to convince Twinkle to not take such a hasty decision but Twinkle was adamant. Finally Western zone mentor Mahesh Manjrekar said that if Twinkle wanted to walk out she does it right now and not when the results about her being in the bottom two are announced. He further added that irrespective of what the results were she should make her choice and that would be final.

Talking of this development particpant Chetan Hansraj said, "Twinkle is a very arrogant person. The way she talks and insults everybody shows how immature she is. She has made Mihika and Panchi cry on the show. In the coming episode she decided to leave the show even before the elimination results were announced. She is a coward and has no respect for the judges and the show too. I didn't even know who she is. Even in this episode Shabanaji was angry with her behaviour and said that she should behave maturely."

Karan Patel who is famous for his outspokenness says, "Honestly people like them should not come on such shows. In the same episode she has walked out twice before leaving finally. The judges also told her that rather than leaving the show she should work hard. When she left the stage everybody including the audience was happy. I even whistled and wanted to give a party but did not have enough time."

Twinkle walks out of Ticket to Bollywood

Twinkle Bajpai and co-contestant Puneet walked out of Kaun Jeetaga Ticket to Bollywood. Twinkle was not responding to our calls, but Puneet gave us details.
"We were not happy with format of the show though we were aware about it but still we think we should express our opinion," he explains and adds, "Comments and criticism from judges and audience is fine but we do not like voting from co-contestants. The judges told us to think twice before taking a decision but we were firm and decided to quit."

Any chances of making a comeback? "We have not sorted out this issue so far so right now we are out of the show. We are hoping the matter will be cleared by next week. If our audience wants us back they will call us or send us messages and votes."

Did her elimination have anything to do with what happened between Panchi and Twinkle? Panchi does not think so. "I called her partner a nautanki which I really felt so I made it clear to her but my mother told me to keep quiet. But when I got eliminated I could not control my emotions and cried on the sets. I said sorry to all because I knew it was not good. She too apologized for whatever she said."

Panchi adds, "I am very hurt because of all this. I still respect her parents. She has a good family too. I used to like her from her singing days but now I am not going to interact with her. She can say whatever she wants against me but I only wish her all the best for the show."

Earlier, Puneet had picked up a fight with Chetan Hansraj too.

Twinkle Bajpai spits fire
04 Aug, 2008 06:00 am ISTlINDIATIMES MOVIES

The reality show Kaun Jeetega Bollywood Ka Ticket features the walkout of contestant duo Twinkle Bajpai and Puneet. Apparently, a showdown happened when Twinkle learnt that she was in the bottom three. Being in the danger zone was certainly unacceptable for this Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi actor. Being relegated to the last lot infuriated her so much that she decided to walk out of the show.

"I've had enough of all that," sighs Twinkle. The actor says that she had to bear the brunt of being 'the best' in that lot. "I've paid a huge price for being better than the best. I guess, the other contestants felt threatened by our presence." According to Bajpai, the fellow contestants now have heaved a sigh of relief. "Now there is no competition. It's a tough battle of mediocrity," she sniggers.

Apart from the bad vibes in the team there was something else that irked Twinkle no end. It was the format of the show. According to the rules, the bottom three couples get eliminated by the safe contestants in the show. "I was the most hated contestant and coming in the bottom three only means giving them the pleasure to eliminate me. Look, I know I'm the best and at my level I cannot give the pleasure to the other mediocre fools to eliminate me. Who are they to judge my performance?" she laments.

The debate rose further when judge Amrita Singh asked Twinkle what she would've done had she not been in the bottom three. According to eyewitnesses, Amirita openly opposed Twinkle's decision of quitting the show. But the ones who made no bones about their happiness were actors and participants Chetan Hansraj, Jai Bhanushali, Karan Patel. The gang concluded the argument by saying that 'finally the negativity is out of the show and now the battle will be far more exciting.'

Mahesh Manjrekar has contestant in tears

Mahesh Manjrekar, who is judging Balaji's reality show Kaun Jeetega Ticket to Bollywood, is giving the contestants a tough time. Reshmii Ghosh's partner Sayantam cried in the show after getting poor reviews from Mahesh for their performance.

Explaining what happened, Reshmii says, "Mahesh told us that our performance lacked energy. He told Sayantam that he should have been more expressive but Amrita and Zeenatji were happy with our performances."

She further adds, "My partner has a few family issues too. His father died some months back and his mother's condition is still bad. She believes that her husband is alive. Also, she wanted him to become a doctor so he was crying that he cannot do anything for her. He revealed his entire story and that affected his performance."

On the other hand, Mahesh was angry and even went on commenting that some of the contestants' performances were very bad. He warned them that they want to see something new and are bored of watching the same things again and again. When contacted, Mahesh refused to comment saying he was busy.

Earlier, when Twinkle Bajpai wanted to quit show, it was Mahesh who told her that if she wants to leave the show she can leave it right away before the results are announced.

What freedom means to our tellystars...
by Vidhya Krishnan & Meenakshi Shankar
    Aug 14, 2008, Bangalore

As we proudly head towards the 61st anniversary of our Indian Independence, we @ Tellywatch wish each and everyone 'A Happy Independence'. And on this occasion, we caught up with our glamazons and dream weavers from the small screen share their message for Independence Day?

An outspoken Mandira Bedi says I look back at all the struggles that our leaders have made for us. And I feel blessed for the freedom that I am enjoying because of them. I am grateful and thankful for our 61 years of free India. But, in the literal sense, we still have a long way to go before we are actually free. Our society is still riddled with double standards. We still treat women like their sole existence is to reproduce. We need to shrug off the stereotypical image and move ahead with times. We need to be free in every sense.

Angad Freedom to me...is about choices! It is about living my life without the diktats of others. Freedom to me is walking around without any fear...without looking over my shoulder and worry about what is in store. Freedom to me is seeing people live their life to the fullest and walk with a smile on them. This Independence Day is very special because I am spending it with people who really matter and who have been instrumental in shaping my life...my family. We are planning to spend the day catching movies. Singh is King is on the priority list! My mother has flown down from Chandigarh and I want to show her the best of Mumbai.

Aastha Chaudary says?Freedom to me is the feel of pride of living in free India. Since I am not too well, this time I will celebrate Independence Day by catching up on some good DVD's, books and just having my family around me. But otherwise on every Independence Day, I make it a point to distribute sweets to children especially the ones you find in signals.

Satish Shah?Freedom means everything to me. It is more important than any other values. I am returning from a long schedule and I am not sure as to how I will celebrate Independence Day this time. But I will make sure to attend the flag hoisting in our colony on Independence Day.

Bhairavi Raichura feels passionately about freedom It is something we take for granted

It is a sense of being liberated and not appreciating it. Freedom is peace for me. It is knowing that when I go to bed every night, the world isn't going to change drastically the next day. On our Independence Day, I salute our freedom fighters and make it a point to salute our flag. It is a day when there is a sense of pride that flows through you and makes you proud of being an Indian.

Alok Nath?Happiness is freedom to me... freedom is being one's own master but not misuse it. Independence Day is a very important day. This time I will be busy working with work and don't have a holiday. All I can do is pray for everybody especially for our freedom fighters.

Kiran Dubey?Freedom means a lot to me! It means so many things like having the courage to be yourself and not get affected by being judged, to be free in speech and thoughts and a lot more things. For this Independence Day, I will be going to an echo-friendly hotel called Rhodas to attend an echo-friendly event. And I just bought two tiny flags from kids who sell them in signals. It feels great when I actually go back to school and think of the days where we used to get great things to eat for free. It is nice to relax and enjoy your freedom in a nice way on that day. I do retrospection on Independence Day; we as citizens need to think about what can be done to improve our nation. We need to thank our freedom fighters and show our gratitude for people in the war front who have sacrificed their lives.

Chetan Hansraj?Freedom is the right to live life without any restriction. And this Independence Day, I will attend the flag hoisting that we have in our society.

Paras Tomar?Being free without having to feel conscious about it and not worrying about anything is what freedom means to me. When in college, there were lot of activities to celebrate Independence Day but once you start working, most of the time is dedicated for work. This Independence, I just want to relax at home.

Anita Hassanandan...To me freedom is having choices and exercising them responsibly. I have been invited to a school function for Independence Day and I am really happy to be a part of it
