Sahara One gets real | ||
SAB which was purely a comedy channel is now pitching itself as a youth channel. Though it started the year with the launch of a comedy band Poore Battis Chahiye in the 8.30 pm slot, the shows that followed were youth-oriented like Love Story and Four. The former got hyped as a show directed by Anurag Basu but failed to garner the expected response. It is Left Right Left that continues to be the flagship show of the channel. , SAB is now into differentiated programming and in a bid to provide variety to the youth is attempting different genres like a sketch comedy, Sab Ka Bheja Fry with the likes of Suresh Menon and Ali Asgar while Jersey No.10 is a sports based serial. Their latest launches Detective Don, Sirf Stories, Full Masti 88.3 and Gupshup Coffee Shop are all about the aspirations of the youth. Early this year, Star One launched a couple of family dramas like Betiyaan Paraya Dhan and Saathi Re in a bid to capture mass viewership like Star Plus. But the experiment failed with the shows being pulled off due to lack of TRPs. Half-way through the year, the channel decided to go in for "differentiated programming" - this seems to be the in-thing - with shows like Ranvir, Vinay Aur Kaun that was targetted at the youth. More shows for the 18 plus age group like Dil Mil Gaye, Choona Hai Aasman and Annu Ki Ho Gayi Wah Bhai Wah were launched. Gajendra Singh moved from Zee to Star and Antakshari, the first show he launched was on Star One. For the first time Nach Baliye that was aired consecutively for two years on Star One was moved to Star Plus. guys i dont think key left right left is now taht popular..its love story thats creating a hype waht say u😛 luv sarah |
