I am upset about the current track and the discord between the brothers that is going to be shown 😭 . I am also super duper upset about them killing off veggie mummy....jeez we had barely recovered from Ila's death....we are still mourning her death. 😭
So I wrote lots of happy family moments in my FF this time 😃. I hope you will forgive me. 😳 I know I promised you all Prithvi feeding Damz and am not giving that to you this time around. That will definitely be in the next update. 😳 I may have quit watching LNMDJ but I will complete all my FFs. I am not abandoning my friends during this tough phase. 😉 I know you all need this more than I do since you are all probably still watching it . So read on 😃

Part 5
The family worked contentedly together laughing and chatting to finish up lunch. Varun and Sameer are finishing the salad and cleaning up. Suman and Roshni are working on roasting the suji (semolina) and Avni is finishing up the sabji (vegetable).
Ila: Sumanji I feel useless sitting here. Please let me help.
Suman: Arrey nahin Ilaji. Ghar mein itne logon ke hote hue aap kyun kaam karengi (Arrey no Ilaji. There are so many people at home, why should you work?).
Ila: Please let me help.
Suman: Ok why don't you clean and halve the cashews for the halwa. Here.
Ila gets to work. Suman shows Roshni how to tell that the suji is done and transfers it to another plate.
Suman: Avni beta do you need any help.
Avni: No maa I am almost done here. The sabji is boiling and should be ready soon. Aap baitiye thodi der (please sit down for some time)
Suman then tells Roshni what else they need and tells her to get it together. She then sits down to join Ila in halving the cashews.
Suman: How are you feeling Ilaji?
Ila: I am fine Sumanji.
Suman: Please aaj sham ko do not take too much strain. We will send everyone home early. Aap chintha na Karen (please do not worry).
Ila: Nahin nahin (no no). I will be fine. Aap sab khama kham chintha kar rahe hain (you are all worrying unnecessarily). Please don't ask people to leave because of me.
Suman: Please promise me you will leave the party if you feel too tired. Only then will I not make people leave early. Anyways I am sure I will tire soon too. Avni has a baby and she will get tired and Damini is pregnant. She will get tired too. I guess Rosh can entertain the guests if she wants to. They turn around to see Rosh yawning. The poor thing is tired from all the work she has done. She catches the two mothers looking at her and gives a sheepish grin
Rosh: Sorry woh main...(that I ....)
Suman: Don't worry beta. You have done lots of work today....no wonder you are tired.....after this we will all take a nap and wake up refreshed for the party. Teek hai?
Rosh nods and comes and hugs Suman. Suman hugs her back and kisses her forehead.
Ila turns to Suman
Ila: Sumanji I wanted to thank you. Aap ne meri betiyon ko itna pyaar diya hai jaise ki aap inki saas nahin maa ho. She wipes her tears. Mujhe hamesha apni betiyon ki chintha lagi rehthi thi ki woh kaise ghar mein jaayengi, kya unhe wahi pyaar aur samman milega jo maine unhe diya hai, apni pati aur uske family ke saath adjust kar sakengi.......khaskar Damini ke maamle mein. Roshni itni nadaan hai aur Avni itni seedhi ki hai ke mere dil mein ek dar sa baith gaya tha mere teenon betiyon ke bare me. Lekin aap ne aur aap ke beton ne is dar ko mita diya. (I used to be always worried about what kind of home my daughters would go to, whether they would get the same love and respect that I gave them, whether they would be able to adjust with their husband and the husband's family.....especially in Damini's case. Roshni is still innocent and Avni is very simple......there was a fear in my heart that refused to leave. But you and your three sons have removed that fear).
Everyone is concerned that Ila is crying and crowds around Ila and Suman.
Prithvi: Sab teek to hai na (is everything ok?)
Damini: Mama kya hua. (what happened)
Suman: Kuch nahin Damini beta. Ilaji please aap royiye mat. Ye kya keh rahein hai aap. Aap ne bhi tho mere beton ka khayal rakha. Inke saari harkathon ko maaf kar diya aapne aur inhe apna liya. Ab chodiye.....ye aap ke betiyan.......mere bete kahan se aa gaya.....yeh sab hamare bacche hain. Aur haan hum donon ko inhe bahut pyar dena hai. Chaliye vaada ki jiye aap aayindha aise baatein nahin karengi. Aur haan hamari teenon betiyan heera hai heera. Diya leke dhoondthi toh bhi aise bahuyen nahi laa paathi apne inn teenon nalayak beton ke liye. (Ilaji please don't cry. What are you saying? You took care of my sons too. You forgave them for their stupid actions. Please let this go......what is this mu daughters......your sons.....they are all our children. We have to give them lot of love. Please promise me you will not say such things again. And your three daughters are diamonds. I would not have found better daughter-in-laws for my three useless sons even I had searched myelf).
Prithvi, Sam and Varun in unison: Maa
Suman quells them with a glance and they keep quiet.
Suman: Ok everyone back to work. Roshni the cashewnuts are done. Let us finish up the halwa. Avni beta is the sabji done, we can start on the Rotis next. Prithvi take Damini and sit on the couch.
Damini: But maa
Suman: Damini maa ki baat mano. She pats her cheek.
Damini: Ok. But mama I feel useless.
Suman: Ok I will give you some work. Here is the guest list for the evening. Sit down with Prithvi and see if we have missed anyone.
Damini and Prithvi go back to sit on the couch with the list. They are joined by Sameer and Varun who have finished the salad.
Varun: Bhaiyya I noticed ke Sameer bhaiyya ke purane girlfriends ko nahin invite kiya kise ne. (no one has invited Sameer's old girlfriends).
Prithvi: Arrey haan. Un sab ko tho zarror bulana chahiye. Avni ko bhi pata chale ki shaadi ke pehle Sameer kya kya gul khilatha tha (Yes. We should invite all of them too. Avni should also come to know what all things Sameer did before he got married).
Varun: Haan bhaiyya. Kis kis ko bulayenge (Yes. Whom all shall we invite). He takes out his cell phone as if he is getting ready to call them. Avni bhabhi aap ko main ek pate ki baat batatha hoon (I will tell you something you need to know).
Avni (smiling): Bolo Varun
Varun: Accha hua aap inhe mil gayi (it is good that he found you). Varna hum na Sameer bhaiyya ka swayamvar karane wale the. (otherwise we were going to do a swayamvar for Sameer bhaiyya).
Avni (Starts laughing and looks at Sameer): Sachi (truly)?
Prithvi (laughing): Haan Avni. Varun bilkul sach keh raha hai (Varun is telling the truth)
Damini (eyes twinkling): This I can completely believe.
Sameer: Chote tu pitne wala hai mujhse aaj. Ruk (Chote you are going to get beaten up by me today. Wait)
Sameer starts chasing Varun around the living room with Prithvi trying to stop them from the couch. Prithvi is laughing too saying "you are not kids. Stop or else I will come and make you stop". Damini cannot believe that Sam and Varun are actually playing chase in the living room and is laughing her head off. In the meantime Suman and Rosh have finished the halwa. Sam catches Varun just as Suman realizes what is going on.
Suman: Hey what are the both of you doing? You are not small kinds anymore. Sameer you are a father now and Varun you are engaged. Behave both of you.
Sameer: But maa.
Suman: Stop whining Sameer.
Sameer (looking at his brothers): Dekh loonga tum donon ko main (I will take care of both of you later).
Varun: Haan haan dekh lena.
Prithvi: Haan kya karlega tu. Zara hum bhi toh dekhe (what will you do? We would like to see too.)
Suman: Stop it you three. Bas ek mauka chahiye tum teenon ko (all you need is an opportunity). Varun and Sameer both of you set the table please. Avni beta, you and me will make the rotis and Rosh will help.
Damini makes a move to join them but Prithvi holds her back.
Damini: Prithvi I am going to go see if they need any help. They will need help with the rotis.
Prithvi: They will manage. There are six of them there. If they need help I will go. You sit here on the couch. He puts his arms around her and hugs her tight.
Damini: Prithvi what are you doing........everyone is here. Let me go.
Prithvi: Promise you will not leave and enter the kitchen the minute I let go.
Damini: OK baba promise.
Varun: Maa Rosh does not know how to make rotis. She makes real nice maps of countries instead of round ones. Aap ko pata hai uske roti kitne tagde hote hain (do you know how thick her rotis are)? He starts laughing. I will come help you.
Rosh: Maa.
Suman: If you tease her once more maaroongi (I will beat you).....pakka. Be quiet and make yourselves useful. Set the table and take all the food that we have cooked to the table. Fill up the jug with cold water. Sameer don't forget to replenish the water and put it back in the fridge......hamesha bhool jaate ho (you always forget).
Sameer (sheepishly): Yes Ma.
Damini (getting up): Maa I can also do something.
Suman: Yes. You can. Stay where you are on the couch. Prithvi take care of her.
Prithvi: Jee maa. Tume aise nahin maanogi (you will not listen this way). He pulls Damini back down and keeps his arm around her.
Damini: Prithvi. What are you doing.
Suman: Teek hi to hai. (it is right). Now you cannot leave.
The entire family is laughing at their antics. Varun and Sameer start setting the table.
Varun: Good bhaiyya that we bought this new dining table that seats 10.
Sameer: Areey chote it can actually seat up to 12.....winks at Varun.....tere future ke liye bhi arrangement hai. Sameer winks at Prithvi.
Varun (blushing): Bhaiyya aap bhi na.
Prithvi: Haan haan. Ye chota pada toh aur bhi bada wala le aayenge, kya kehthi ho Damini. He looks towards her. (yes yes. if this one is small we can always buy a bigger one) Hamein aur bada table lena hi hogaa. (we have to get a bigger table). He winks at Damini
Damini (blushing): Hmm. Sure.
Varun: Bhaiyya Bhabhi not fair aap bhi Sameer bhaiyya ke saath mil gaye. (not fair you joined Sameer bhaiyya)
Prithvi: Is mein fair ya unfair ke baath kahan se aa gayi. We are just planning for the future. Haina.
Damini (with a straight face): Yes that is all. Then she starts laughing and the three brothers join in.
Ila sitting in the chair takes in the scene. Damini and the three brothers laughing on the other side of the kitchen. In the kitchen Suman is patiently teaching Roshni how to make little rounds. Then is Avni is flattening them out and then Suman and Rosh are cooking them together. She is content and happy that everything turned out well and that she is alive to see this.
Rosh: But ma I want to flatten too.
Suman: Haan beta. But you are learning. Your mother must be hungry. We will let you do the last one all by yourself and then you can let Varun eat it.
Varun who is drinking some water hears this and starts coughing as the water goes down the wrong way.
Varun: What. Me. Why me?
Maa: Woh itne pyaar se banayege is liye (it is because she will make it with so much love).
Sameer (in Varun's ear): Ek roti hi toh hai. Khaale khaale...... varna bahut problem ho jaayegi. (It is one roti. Just eat it or else there will be big problems)
Varun looks at Rosh's excited face and does not have the heart to tell her no.
Varun: If she is making it for me specially then teek hai I will eat it.
Rosh blushes and goes back to work excitedly.
Varun and Sameer finish setting the table and come join Prithvi and Damini on the couch.
Sameer: Damini bhabhi aap ko pata hai ki bhaiyya aap ko patane ke liye mujh se tips lete the. (did you know that bhaiyya took tips from me to land you)
Damini: Kya (what)? Kounse ideas diye the tumne (which ideas did you give him)?
Sameer: Who fake birthday ka idea mera hi toh tha (that fake birthday idea was mine).
Damini: I knew that. I knew Prithvi would not have come up with that by himself. She leans over and kisses Prithvi on the cheek. Thank you Sameer.
Sameer: Bhabhi aap upset nahin hai.
Damini: Not really. Your bhaiyya was so cute. I treasure that memory. That is the first time he asked me out.
Prithvi: But you said no.
Damini: Of course I did. You were becoming a habit and I did not want that.
Prithvi (hugging her close): What about now.
Damini (blushing): Prithvi.....behave.
Prithvi laughs and hugs her again.
Sameer (to himself): This did not work. Kuch aur try karna padega ( I will have to try something else).
Sameer: Roshni. Did you know I gave Varun tips on how to woo you.
Varun: Bhaiyya.
Rosh (blushing and looking at Varun): Really. He also gave me tips on how to impress you. So I should give you a double thank you jeej. You were instrumental in getting us together.
Sameer: None of these people are raising to the bait. I have to get my revenge. Let me think.
