Wow!

I think that the perfect equation for them would be fire + ice. Cuz just as Ash said, " Fire melts ice and ice controls fire". Without the other they're nothing. If there was only fire, then the world would perish. If only ice, it would freeze. It's vital for them both to be together to create life.
