Also, you are right: what will they do for a hero once Rajeev leaves if they spoil the character of Abhimanyu so much?!

shvetal..even i don't mind watching him in a negative role.....provided it is interesting . if after watching it doesn't give u a feeling that ..uffffff...yeh kya dikha rahe ho..yeh kya kar rahe ho....🤢 what is biting is that...they are trying to show & to prove him a positive character...but still at times they are putting it into contradictions.

Hi all. Here is my vishesh tippani for today. Long day, me tired and yet to make and have dinner, so have just done a quick job and left more detailed comments for others to contribute.

The serial opened with Abhimanyu being handed over a family heirloom, a gun... good scene handled well... again, a lot more was conveyed and suggested over and above the dialogues.... the things that we have to come to associate with the character of Abhimanyu... the duality of him, the constant struggle within him and yet the smile.... the 'yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye toh kya hai' attitide that he has.... i dont want to write the same things everyday so all i'll say is that in so many conscious and unconscious ways and gestures Gaurav has become Abhimanyu, just as he had become Samay once.... it shows in the face, in the eye, in the hand movement, in the frame.... after a point, you stop analysing separate gestures and explaining what they suggest because they work together, they work as a whole and derive meaning in and from each other.... what i mean is this... in this scene, be it the slight smirk, the slight sigh, the frame of the body.... all of them conveyed Abhimanyu at this moment.... the weariness, the struggle, the determination to fight nevertheless and also a detachment.... i cant isolate individual moments in this scene because for me it worked as a whole, it worked because i saw Abhimanyu in every shot, every frame.

'yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye toh kya hai' that's such a beautiful song poignantly touching upon the wiliness in life.

The scene where he holds the gun and is looking at it as if all his life he ran away from it and here its being gifted to him as an honor. What a dichotomy of life? His desire to be accepted by his father and make him feel proud does make him happy but then its at the cost of his love of music. The same music which is soul, his strength and he has had to sacrifice it. He disowned violence and now he is in a compelling position to adorn it! How much more cruel can life be?😭😭

But the sad part of being able to relate to Abhimanyu is that it breaks my heart that all this angst is wasted over such childish issues.... the kids refuse to go out with him and he is hurt.... Gaurav did the scene competently enough but it was such a stupid thing to show.... the show needs to make up its mind whether it is the Wonder Years (ie school show) or the OC (ie drama) .... you have nuanced characters.... most of them with multiple layers and almost all of them distinct and full of possibility.... and then they are put in ridiculous situations which are not worth the characteristics that they have been given.... you take characters from good drama and put them in a school show.... what audience are you targetting then?... Of course one can have brilliant drama in a school set up (Boston Public, Boston Public, Boston Public... among the best television i've seen... ever).... but you cannot have multi-layered characters operating in juvenile situations unless you're making a balck comedy.... feeling isolated, feeling alone and wallowing in self-pity happens to most of us at some point in life but thats a different age and if it happens when one is Abhimanyu's age it usually is driven by different reasons.... but this 'you dont have the time to talk to me and so i'll change the rules' is very silly.

I agree completely, what a waste of talent!! Finally expectations did dawn upon you-😆. Well now I am just watching GC's😳 performance👏 and dialogues⭐️ that's all and don't pay much attention to the rest. They have successfully ruined a good concept. This makes me wonder if India TV is more interesting!!😉....😆

The idea that Abhi wishes to be accepted by the group in itself is fair and fine but the depiction, issues and methods are frivolous😡. As you righly said there are different reasons and here the reason for the desire is lacking and that makes it fall flat. Perhaps they just want to pitch the two stars against each other to boost TRP's. Its a sad attempt.

Then the scene with Aalekh.... again good acting in the sense of Abhimanyu being so completely established that every nuance was Abhimanyu and not Gaurav... but the situation was plain pointless again.

Yes I liked the Abhi-Alekh scenes👏. The duos are complimenting each other well. Alekh 's background could have had endless possibilities but sadly it's reduced to stereotyping.

I liked the scene where Abhi thanks Alekh and how he sincerely wishes to be part of them. Alekh said a beautiful line" Aap kisi ke Fav nahi ho …apun ko pata hai kisi ka fav nahi hona kaisa hot ahai"👏 This was so real and honest, Alekh's own desire to be a fav and accepted by all. May be that's why he likes Naina and wants to be like her - appreciated by all.

So the cadets are being spoilt.... and Abhimanyu has been warned not to insult Capt Rajveer.... and thats where it rests now. I liked the last smile.... i went 'thats how you would react'.... and i was talking to Abhimanyu, not to Gaurav.

An orderly threatening a Captain!!!!!!!🤣🤣And pray why shd he do that? Weren't they friends and the other Capt can very well manage his own affairs, I believe.

Finally, blazer with white shirt works for me! Also, long fingers eh?... never realised that earlier.

Ok I get the pic😉...........😆

Bye. See ya tomo. 😊

surely😊

after last week's episode ..i was relaxed to see that abhi has understood his turmoil & he himself is fighting to overcome his complexes. he was on his way of self-reliasation but why suddenly again the same ugly track....

very well said Shweta👏👏👏👏👏. Perhaps they are clueless and trying all possible Permutations and Combinations😆😆😆

I agree. And very well put!

Thats an interesting observation.... that could be one of the aspects of the Aalekh - Naina relationship.

What Aalekh said sounded very random... he really didnt need to compare Abhimanyu to Capt. Rajveer.... especially if he knows Abhimanyu well.

Ok I get the pic😉...........😆

Good that you do!

Well first of all i do not really try and present a negative character in a positive light... i honestly do not care if Abhimanyu is negative or positive.... i wouldnt mind it if he were to turn out to be the chief villain as long as the character is interesting.... as long as the situations are mature and not stupid.... as long as the show and the characters work in harmony with each other. In my posts, i analyse Abhimanyu's character and Gaurav's acting.... I think the show did something interesting by showing a character who is fighting his own weaknesses.... but then they ruined it by making the situation so simple .... Abhimanyu is fighting his own demons.... it should not be as silly as 'you wont go on a walk with me and so i'm hurt'.

As for what i mention and what i dont, thats why i call this an idiosyncratic analysis.... idiosyncratic as in whimsical, personal, selective..... it is not an analysis of the entire episode as a whole... i think there are other people on this forum who do an excellent job of analysing the entire episode and the show as a whole..... as for me, i write about whatever i feel like writing about. And since i respect Gaurav's work a lot and watch the show because of him, that shows in my writing as well. 😊

Very well said Shvetal ....I fully agree with every word you wrote....😊

Btw....great analysis....😃
