Your 1^st serial ended abruptly. Why was it so?

• The show ran 4 eight months but then it had 2 wend abruptly becoz an English show dint go too well with an Indian audience. Probably with all the other sitcoms being aired on that channel, this wasn't being able 2 make a mark 4 itself.

So, it was this serial that got u 2 mumbai?

• No , it was another serial where I was supposed 2 play d lead role.that dint work out eventually n I had 2 wait 4 six months. I was then asked 2 audition 4 left right left n bagged d role of naina. I was happy wid wat I was offered.

Wat were u doin meanwhile?

• I did a lot of theatre n some modellin . all this kept me busy n then I landed wid Bombay talking,where I played the role of sheena malik, a girl 4m kota. The show lasted 4 eight months n then I was approached 4 lrl.

Were u prepared 4 ur role in te serial?

• I was a bit apprehensive n wasn't sure if I cud manage the stunts n I had 2 groom myself a lot there were plenty of action sequences n it was a big challenge 4 me.

U hv done stage n as well as acted in front of the camera. which do u prefer?

• When u r in a group of ppl belonging 2 the same creative field, it automatically makes u competent n that wat the stage 4 me. Wen in front of the camera, u always hav 2 be careful about the camera angles, lighting n so on. The stage is all about one take.

Are ur parents supportive of ur decision 2 act?

• Extremely. In fact, my mother came down n stayed wid me in Mumbai 2 help me settle down. From my school days I have been doin a a lot of thetre soit definitely dint came as a surprise 2 them.

Will films be ur net career move?

• Yes. Of course. I have got a number of offers but as of now I m quite committed 2 my show n don't want 2 quit it. Moreover I don believe in doing 2 many things at d same time.
