42-point dos and don'ts for Gaurav Chopra

There are many actors who need to do some kind of homework to get into the depth of the character and give his best performance.

Gaurav Chopra, who portrays Captain Abhimanyu Raichauhan, a secret agent in the guise of a music teacher trying to form a band who is out to find out the suspense about Navin Singh Alhuwalia, is one such performer who prefers to do a homework to give the perfect shot before the camera.

In order to keep the character's mission a secret, Captain Abhimanyu aka Gaurav is given a look that differentiates him from being an Army officer. Here he wears long hairs with cool clothes on, and also puts on a chilled out attitude.

"Yes, in fact I had to a lot of homework. I had a brief discussion with the producer, director and then we have zero downed to 42 points that I have to follow before every scene.

So now before a scene I have to think what to do and what not to do. I also had to work on the musical instruments, as I am playing a music teacher.

I did not have time to learn playing the instruments, but I saw performances of bands and musical shows to learn how they use the instruments. I also had to work a lot on my body language as the character is very chilled and funny," substantiates Gaurav.

But why did you require so much homework for this character? What is so unique about it? "It is a very different and unique role as I don't think that any one has played this kind of a role before on television. I had a special entry and it is a very challenging role. It is so spontaneous with a variety of shades to portray and I love this role," explains Gaurav.

Looks like Gaurav have put in a lot of hard work for this character. Now let's see how he fares on screen against the audience heartthrob Rajeev Khandelwal!

And why did they have to compare him to Rajeev? They're two very different actors with different acting styles, different kinds of looks and very different body langauge. In fact, the difference between them makes the show interesting.
