For the second time, Kyunki Saas... on Star has featured rape. And rape is a common occurence on primetime national television. We ask readers if this is appropriate.

I don't think it is advisable to show rape scenes during primetime as the time is also meant for children. Recently, one of the saas-bahu serials had shown a girl who is supposed to get hitched, being raped. Generally, girls who are raped are looked down upon by the society. This can also reflect in real life.

I think it is not correct to show rape scenes during primetime. This is the time when we sit with our family to watch television. Also, it would definitely create a very bad impact on the minds of children. At least, I would not want my children to watch such ugly scenes.

It is absolutely wrong to broadcast rape scenes on primetime television, as this is the time when most family members get together to watch the usual saas-bahu serials. It becomes worse when these serials, which do not mean anything, show rape scenes. I think these serials should be banned first.
