I can. That is another big thing, which sometimes people overlook. Names not only give us a reference point, but they are the foundations of our identity. I genuinely believe that you should think very carefully about what you name your child, name meanings do have an impact. I can vouch for that. Plus (and this is probably more of a western issue) but another issue is some names while beautiful will inevitably be butchered at school/work. It doesn't matter how many times you try and correct the person, they will resort to referring to you by a shortened (often unwelcomed) shorthand version of your name, than bothering to correct their own mispronounication. It should not be like that. But unfortunately it is.
