It's remarkable that they honestly are so comfortable with each other regardless of how much time passes between their meets...It is quite beautiful isn't it? :)
Oh he's got a wife. Yes uh oh.
Honestly, usually I'd have been appalled since I'm team Dutta and Nakusha lol but considering this story and the fact that they do in fact lead lives that are away from each other...it's realistic to see that he'd have made some progress in his personal life and maybe met someone...and anyway even she was dating and ready to marry...there was no future for them with each other in those situations...I like that you've pointed that out. It's easy to forget that while Naku may have ditched her groom (eventually) she was already dating while Dutta was not, so the fact that he seemingly settled (eventually) too points to something.
But I sense there is something important regarding his wife...or marriage...whether a tragedy or just plain misery or maybe a rough patch in the marriage...who knows...only you! ;) and at this point I REALLY want to scream out and say what it is, but alas I am afrad but you must wait a little. All in good time my dear. All in good time. In the mean time hold onto your theories. :)
Oh you're throwing in bones but holding us back!! I'm quite the tease, and I am not even sorry lol.
What happened in their last meet and that name Rosie...comes up again...how did he lose right to call her that? And why did she never wish to see him again?? Hmmm I am curious! He did something???So many questions (and good ones too) but I will have to leave you pondering for the time being. All I can clarify is that indeed something DID happen. As to it's severity I shall let you all judge that for yourselves, soon as I have it written and posted :)
And the children remark or wife remark...possibly both has hit a nerve and it's only making me more eager to learn why! indeed it is curious that he is alone in Paris. Where is this wife?
Hmm she's not in his life anymore can mean a lot of things...;) it sure can.
Back in time...
I think Nakusha is ignoring all the warning signs or maybe making up excuses for them...but seriously when the man you're with (especially for as long as them) isn't really listening to you or doesn't know much about you...wouldn't you think it's all wrong? And then she feels misplaced, ignored, overlooked, and their lives are separate even while together ...but she's not doing anything about it? curious and curiouser isn't it. A girl who is seemingly adamant about her life and being in control (recall her vini vidi vichi stance?) now seems resigned to a dead end relationship- and I use that term in the loosest sense. It's not quite clear yet but Nakusha seems to be hanging on. May be she needs a wake up call? usually that comes from your family, since she doesn't have any, then her best friend, Leela? but again L's warning's fall on deaf ears, so someone else...Dutta?
You know What's interesting, with her and Dutta even when separated their lives seemed to line up whenever they were together! yes which is why both suddenly realised how alone they have been when they met again.
And lying to her friends...another warning sign. She is becoming a bobble head in the name of a relationship. She's unable to be herself...and she's making excuses to be that person...why? Why doesn't she see what's really going on...what's stopping her from making that conclusion that this is all wrong??? He really knows nothing about her...does he? Yep he really doesn't something you will come to know more of in the next few chapters.
Oh and don't you just hate it when people answer for you as if they know you! Argh...Yes. If anything Kudos to her for keeping her cool, especially since we know the type of person she actually is.
A trophy wife, how strange that she's regarded as (and possibly agreeing to - for the time being) the very thing Dutta's mother wanted for him...Yes if Nakusha moved in the same social circles as Dutta, I can pretty much see Mrs Patil arranging a Jain-Patil alliance. (this kinda makes me wat to explore a story now where both are filthy rich and arranged to be married. kind of a 'Taming of the shrew' sort of banter will ensue lol!)
She's really in a pickle huh...left alone in a room full of people who care nothing about her...Yes and despite knowing that, she doesn't seem to do anything, considering that few years down the line she seemingly is set to marry the guy. Hmm!
Another wonderful UD. I am loving the way the story is moving forward...l am eager to see it unravel and reveal the many layers and stepping stones in their lives...As ever Thank you Daya, I'm glad you're enjoying the pace, sometimes I fear that it is going too slow.
Continue Soon! Thank you for taking the time to read the update and posting your lovely thoughts :)
