we in uk do as islamic calender,by the lunar system, when in saudi it.s declared the new moon is spotted they declare it's eid next day as it should be.

but i don't know why they don't follow the same and so we never have eid on same days. they are always a day behind!😕
u r rightly 😕 to me it never made any sense. if u think that's bad try getting a day off wrk ,school any inst. as we can't tell them in advance when it's likely to fall on. exact date is never known

bharti its bcoz in Islam the moon is used to determine the number of days in a calendar month and it varies according to geographical locations just like the time for prayers [namaz] is different in each country depending on the time difference same way lunar changes occur differently in different part of the world hence not only eid but ramadan too started at different times in different regions of the world...like you see places like US/canada have huge time difference from places like ind/pak hence we commence eid/ramadan at different times.. ...hope it helps solve the query 😊

and thanks for YT videos download suggestion ...though im too lazy to download any software 😆

@ blue...tahera it is because a lunar month is either of 29 days or 30 days ...and unlike solar year it is not a fixed pattern of 30/31 dayz each month ...as each new month depends on the first day moon ... and it is a scientific fact that a lunar year is more accurate as compared to the solar year...

@ red...it is because the geographical changes and time difference in different parts yaar same way as namaz timing differs in different areas so does the eid /roza and iftar times do...depending on time zone

warda what u said i have known always also but like bharti ialso think that somehow it doesn't make sense as not only they are ahead in time but it's only 4/5 hours difference not a whole day.
