But I agree with Keva in general that after MR's exit they should have smoothly transitioned to SA and moved on with the original story instead of getting a new character as the male lead. Eve now they refuse to let go of him. If they are so desperate for a new character as the male lead they should have shut down LTL and got a new show altogether.

I get what you are saying kshreya that he is not getting the opportunity to show his skills. We can all discuss as to why that is but according to me an actor too has to be interested in the character in order to get the opportunity. It is a competitive industry and hence you have to demand as to what you want and when you do not get it you quit and look for something else but no actor should let the channel or the producers run over you and give you a crappy script.
Shabir seems like he is not interested I mean it took him about 3 months to realize that he is a sidey character ever since he entered the show and then the article came he is planning to quit and then they also mentioned in the article that he had some personal work and hence he was not shown. When did shows start waiting for an actor's schedule to clear up? He is the replacement for the only strong male character on Indian television and he does not even care to make sure that he would be given importance when he makes an entry in the show. He should have checked with the channel and the creatives and the producers as to what his character will do.
With the new replaced dutta now adopting dingu even his threat of quiting the show has not worked. I guess the channel, creatives, producers decided lets just put him in and hence he won't complain that he will quit. I think if he becomes a demanding actor only then he will be given the opportunity to show his skills. He is good actor I have seen him in Kayamath though I never watched the entire show just like all ekta's shows but he would have been a good replacement if he had talked with the creatives, producers of LTL-2 about what they plan to do with his character.
Edit: Shabir needs to demand that they focus on his character coz the channel, producers, creatives have fallen in love with dingu way too much to even consider making Dutta the lead of the show.

hi keva!!
there is time and then there is time.
shabbir had his time 2 months back.he is strong actor.a saleable one.and above all an actor who could demand and get his demands met.
wht did he do??!!
so now he goes and asks all the responsible guys; can he undo the damage?.dutta the lead, and as u said the only strong male character of tv world has been reduced to someone worse than a side kick in saas bahu saga.ekta gave more importance to male members compared to this LTL2.
it takes months to create a character unless u r brilliant.
he had his months...

Totally agree with you. He has had 3 months to prove himself as Dutta and he as well as the creatives, producers and the channel have failed miserably but I guess this crap is continuing and that is why I am saying he should go and demand that he should be made the lead of the show. I seriously thought that he would be given more importance since the channel is his fan but I was wrong they are actually Dingu's fan. 😆 I put the blame on all of them for the pathetic character of new replaced dutta even Shabir needs to step up and demand otherwise this crap will continue and we will soon be reading an update of Dutta happily getting naku married to Dingu. 🤢😆 They all failed the day MR quit the show but I really did expect them to shift the focus to the new replaced dutta when he entered the show but sadly they all (producers, channel, creatives, shabir) agreed and continued with dingu crap.

To summarize it when SA got the offer to play Dutta he should been instantly alert and tried to find out what made the previous actor leave such a meaty role. Being in the industry for so long he should have had his sources to dig out the truth(maybe spoken to Mishal directly too) and then driven a hard bargain with the people concerned.
But obviously he didnt do any of that. Or perhaps he knew the truth but didnt care. If its the former then it was very careless of him to handle his comeback this way. If its the second then he doing the show for other reasons like money or perhaps the channel has promised him future projects as the host or as a lead actor or producer so he wont care anyway.

Agree with this, the channel must have promised him future projects, so he will not care much about Datta's character, he will do what he is asked to do & move ahead, he is not that attached to his character so it is easy for him to go to the next step.

I do not know much about SA's work, but have heard he is good. But a professional actor would quickly get into the character he plays and never act half-interested. I still remember Mishal giving stellar performances even days before his departure from LTL was imminent and his role was reduced to almost non-existent.

SA simply does not show the facial intensity -especially the eyes, and the voice, that the intense character of Dutta demanded. If Adesh (Deegu) was misfit, SA fares just a shade better. He had his moments to show his acting skills at his re-union with the members of PN, and he was completely disappointing, even worse than an ordinary actor.

There was an enormous moment in the episode and it turned into near comic. They showed the close ups of all members of PN as SA was delivering the lines showing how heart-broken and crest fallen he was on his return. During these close-ups if one cared to notice the subtle changes in facial and eye expressions of Kala, then you realise what good acting is all about. SA had long stretch of dialogues but his voice and facial expressions were a total let down. He could not emote, he could not get the right facial expressions and the tone in the voice to portray the tremendous anguish that the character was .

There is only one way LTL can go - down.

The real problem lies with faulty direction...these day techinical department of LTL has also became weak...I expect the director of the show to maintain some standards,,,,
