Thank you so much for taking the time out to rewrite the whole update, Anu.....I'm sorry you lost your first draft....I can only imagine the frustration :((......But lovely update as always :-)
The epi was quite filmy in many bits....especially Nakku's bhaashangiri about the hidden love in the slap and her smug put downs of Kala (ab Nakku ko English bhi aati hai....waah....lol)
Anyways the real touching parts of the epi were obviously the DN scenes.....loved the way Dutta breathed out that "Nakku" when he sees her in the kitchen finally....scene was nicely shot too with the way her shadow was shown first and then her....that entire beginning portion when he tells her that he's feeling hungry and then asks her to give him the food....FAB acting by both MR and MV....especially the tears in Nakku's eyes and the way she looks at him when he says this....very nicely done by MV...
it was a moment with so many undercurrents.....but the line that touched me the most in the entire scene was "Ajeeb hai....tere haath se khata hoon, tabhi pet bharta hai"....lovedddddd the way they transitioned into the DN tune there with the flashbacks of the jungle scene when he brought those fruits for her.....beautifulllllllllllllly touching moment.
I found the whole "I'm going to smash my hand cuz it slapped you" bit a little OTT but I guess it's Dutta's character.....not very surprising that way....anyways loved MR's acting in that scene.....especially the way he said in that slightly irritated tone "Ab tu itni CHUP kyun hai?" lol....and then the transition into the convo about him talking about how he made a huge mistake today....and Nakku as usual tries to interrupt with her "woh aapka pyar tha" fundas, liked the way he interrupted with, 'woh mera gussa tha....mujhe bahut gussa aaya tha aur us gusse mein aaj maine tujh par haath uthaaya".....and the way he said, "Lekin teri galti nahin thi na....phir bhi maine tujh par haat uthaaya....nahin karna chahiye tha aise".....the regret there.....again amazingly enacted by MR.
Nakku's "aapne mujhe sabke saamne apnaya" fundas waise weren't making any sense to me.....lol....dunno if it was just me.....but liked the rest of the scene.
Anyways the next good moments for me were in the room as she's trying to bandage his hand and he says, "Main theek hoon, Nakku.....
tu theek nahin hai"....and when she says, "Main theek hoon, saab", he goes, "par khush toh nahin hai"......beautifully written out and enacted moment!.....Very touching.
I guess the sense to take away from this epi is that the slap has acted like a big jhatka for Dutta....it is that "gone too far" incident for him it seems since he feels that now by actually going as far as HITTING her, he's hurt her too much for no fault of hers.....he seems to have gone into guilt mode....atleast that is the sense we get from him in his drunk state when he's at his most vulnerable and his innermost emotions are pouring out.
The fact that Nakku got up and left in the morning shows that she is also just as unsure of what sober Dutta's reactions will be like.....she knows he loves her.....in Nakkuland toh, "slap=sabke saamne apnana"😆......anyways, but still she seems to sense as well that he won't be quite so mellow in his sober state.....so let's see what his reactions are once he wakes up....I think he will still be in guilt mode and try to avoid Nakku.
