Dutta, the thinker...taking his time to sort through Naku's actions
He has every right to be angry. And Nakusha deserves it too. However, after the initial anger, I want him to sit down and reflect on everything that's happened. If you've noticed, he's been doing a lot of that lately. Ever since Nakusha's calmed him down. Remember the scene where Kala comes and provokes him against DP. He listens to her, but takes time to think about what she said and tries to remember what Naku said about the same thing. In the end it's not that he blindly goes for what Naku or the vamp said. He assesses their words and makes the right choice. He does not react! That is the Dutta I want to see! 😊
I'm sure he'll be having a lot of flashbacks. The characters in LTL seem to have those on a regular basis.😆So there, he'll realize that Naku's only fault is that she didn't trust him enough to share her secret. It could be because of his words and attitude towards beauty. 'Khoobsurati and dhokha'. He'll remember that everything she's done,she's done for him selflessly. Calming him down, challenging him, turning down his proposal, getting Kala back, making him forgive DP, making him accept Madhu...everything. And inspite of Babi's advice, I think Naku asked Dutta to forgive DP for his own peace of mind, and not so that he accept her later on. Dutta has to see all this clearly when he thinks and finally forgive her for that one fault of hers. After all, she's forgiven him all his transgressions, some greater than her secret.
Dutta, the believer...taking a leap of faith towards a life with Naku
Bahar se itna sakht hoon, par andar se toot jaata hoon! I love these lines. Dutta chooses to hide in his world of pain everytime he's betrayed. He just gives up, and never gives himself a chance. He never tries to analyze his feelings, just lets the pain break him over and over. He's like a child, scared to get out and play for fear of getting hurt. What I really want to see is his courage. I want him to take the biggest gamble of all. Faith. I want him to try and believe someone(Naku) knowing that he's gonna get hurt. I want him to be brave enough to take on that hurt, and fight for his love. This emotional weakness will not do any longer. It's time he realized that it's not always about him. It's always mujhe dhokha mila, main bharosa karne se darta hoon for Dutta. It's time he learnt that faith doesn't always mean believing in things you see, sometimes it's believing in things that cannot be seen but only felt. He needs to think from Naku's perspective too. And I know that once he believes in her the way she believes in him, it's gonna be much much easier for him to believe in himself. That's what she's been teaching him all along, right? To listen to his own heart and trust what it tells him. I want a Dutta who has faith in himself, and the sanctity of his love. *sigh* I think I'm falling in love with him all over again!
