I agree...she seems a misfit...hardly seems Dutta's sister and Vinay looks kiddish in front of her. Maybe that was the intention...to make us like RuJi vs MaJi. 🤣

I think it was more to do with her appearance...western clothes and all. LTL has a very desi feel to it...and all the characters we've seen so far have had this earthiness about them! That's totally missing in this London-returned girl! And her rather hard features are doing nothing for the character. But may be we should give her some time before jumping the gun!

@kateleode: Agreed that a character's full development takes time....but when you put two ppl in a frame, there has to be some kind of spark to give you an indication of future things to come, no? And in her very first scene, this girl was kinda just thrown in our faces with her "Here I am, everyone! Where's my brother? I need to hug him! Ooooh look! a new family! Let me be smiley smiley with everyone! Oooh look I have a bhabhi!" A very underwhelming character if I may say so.....If all they are going to show is the typical "nok-jhonk" b/w her and Baaji and expect that ppl will love them cuz of that typicalness, I'm feeling skeptical....We may all dislike Roops for playing Baaji right now but I have to say that actress can act and actually had chemistry with Baaji.....for proof, anyone can watch the scene when she was consoling Baaji....I thought she was very good in that scene. And if we think about it, the character evolution that Roops's character can take has a lot of potential....too bad the creatives suddenly changed their mind :S

@Kshreya: Exactly....she seems like a misfit to me too.....I'm starting to feel sorry for Baaji....maybe they should let him be single only then :P lol.....and honestly the trio is evil and all but they all have chemistry with Dutta as his sisters.....especially Kala and Roops toh have really good chemistry with him.

Yeah it could be that her western look makes her seem more of a misfit compared to the desi, earthy-ish characters in the show....but technically even the evil trio seems pretty "modern" for the most part.....

To me what's missing is a softness and there should have been a sort of guileless earnestness to her.....and I found it odd how ready she was to jump into the family....granted she's a positive character, but why not give her some basis, flesh her out a bit? Show her upset about her father's death....wary of her seeing her half-brother for the first time? Yeh toh gale padu types nikli😆

@Anu: Even Leela has good chemistry with Dutta as his sister eventhough she is hardly shown to speak to him directly. But I guess all 3 actresses grew on us with time. I am not sure abt Soni Singh though...maybe she too will grow on us with time. Even Dutta's 3 sisters seemed misfits earlier to me atleast. But for Baji I am not so sure if she will make a decent pair. Looks like the makers dont want ANY competition for tasha in terms of chemistry. 🤣

@sub_rosa: LOL DN pe toh focus aa hi jaayega with the FR....I'm not that annoyed about it....and most likely Madhu pe bhi focus hoga hi if she matter so much as Dutta's sister and then with Baaji also....they need to develop her character better

LOLL I guess so....so far none of the other romantic pairs in the show can compete with DN.....

As for the sisters....yeah I found them quite stupid in the beginning of the show too but they did grow on everyone with time....you're right about that.....but pata nahin I'm getting an odd feeling about this one....they really laid it on thick with her entry scene......but then I think about it and they showed the entry scene of the evil trio in SUCHHHH an OTT manner as well😆....maybe they'll give this girl scope in the future too.....it's just that the actress doesn't seem like the right choice to me😕

K...........Coming to your post,see when I first saw Roops ....I felt she was too silly............Never imagined her to be anybody's GF...............But,later when the buzz was there,yeah some scenes of her & Baaji definitely had some sparks in it.There was a chemistry becoz.........CVs portrayed it so well.................Thats y I could connect that silly dumbo Roops to being Baaji's GF.............

But,here in MAdhu's case,CVs have failed to show her entry well..............There has to be hesitation in her eyes before accepting someone she havenot seen before...........But,CVs may justify that in coming epis..............Chemistry is not soemthing you get by looks.........It is something gradually happens........Not necessarily by looks..........So,I am being Patientic here..........I will definitely wait for more scenes......How her character is developed or How the actress will make us feel about Madhu..........

True that Roops got character development much later on and didn't have much of a purpose to her before this.....I guess I'm speaking of a first impression with Madhu cuz we already have a Roops to compare her to....before Roops, there was no other woman in the frame with Baaji to compare to....as of now, I see Roops having chemistry with Baaji and not Madhu.....Madhu is feeling forced to me cuz of the way they've started her entry with Baaji instantly fighting with her.....bringing in a "modern" girl paving the way to show typical nok-jhonk b/w a gunda guy and a sophisticated sort of girl.....I guess I'm waiting to see if their interactions are well written later on.

Agreed on that they could have made Madhu's entry better.....she kinda just jumped in randomly😕😆
