It was a new morning; Arjun was at the dining room table sipping his morning coffee. Baaji had called and told him about Kala Tai and he could not believe his ears what he heard. Arohi comes behind him, gives him a kiss on the side of his cheek. "What are you so engrossed in thinking?" Arohi lovingly asks. Arjun grabs her hand, brings her forward and sits her down on his lap, "Baaji called, said that the culprit behind all this incidents that happened to you was none other than Kala." Arohi widens her eyes in disbelief and shakes her head. "Poor Dutta, oh and Aunty too." Arjun nods his head and says, "We have to be there for them." Arohi agrees with him, lays her head on his chest and says, "I told Sands' about the plan with Baaji." She plays with his chain around his neck, "She is in, but does not want this ruse to get out of hand." Arjun nods his head and says, "We have to go Patil house."
At the Patil niwas, Naku was getting the aarti thali ready and had smile on her face. However, that all changed in an instant, she ran to the closest bathroom to heave. After puking her guts out, she splashes her face with cold water. She had a distinct idea that this is one of the symptoms for pregnancy. She walks out of the bathroom, all drained out from puking and bumps into Roops. She looks at her and says, "Sorry Roop Tai, I was not watching where I was going." Roops waved her hand and asks, "Vaheeni why is your face all flushed?" She looks at her with a raised eyebrow. Naku wiping the rest of the water from her face with her sari answers, "It is nothing, I had gotten something in my eye and it was irritating is all." She lies to her, even though she despises lying.
Shrugging her shoulder's Roops bought the lie. She makes her way to the dining table for breakfast. She sits down beside her sister Leela and fills in on what she saw with Naku. Leela gets an interested look and says, "Kuch toh hai Roops joh vaheeni chupa ri hai." They both nod their heads in agreement. Arohi and Arjun walked in and saw Naku praying in front of bappa. Arohi smiles, looks at Arjun and both stand behind Naku with folded hands to pray.
Naku turns around with aarti and offers it to them. She smiles at them and says,"Arohi I need to speak with you, it I important." Arjun smiles, guesses that it meant private women talk and excused himself. He walks up the stairs to Dutta's room, he sees him sitting in outside foyer working on his laptop. "Dutta hey, I am really sorry to hear about Kala." Arjun tells him sincerely. Dutta nods his head and says, "I really don't want to talk about it, it is done and over with now." Arjun nods, agrees with him and sits down in the chair opposite him. "So we should talk about the whole Baaji thing and what we are going to do?" Dutta grins at the plan and says, "Naku has told AS, we are going ahead with the first phase of the plan."
"Ok sounds good to me, but I should tell you that Sands' is now in on the plan and my father-in-law will be flying down soon as well." Arjun lets Dutta know. Dutta smiles and says,"Why don't we go and talk to AS regarding finding a girl who is willing to along with this plan." They both walk downstairs; see Naku and Arohi in a conversation. Arohi has a big smile on her face and hugs Naku. Arjun looks perplexed at the situation, turns his towards Dutta and asks, "Do you know what that is all about?" Dutta nods his head and answers, "Naku might be pregnant, we are not 100% sure but I guess she is letting Arohi know so that we can be sure." Arjun lets out a laugh, pats him on the back and says," Welcome to hell." Dutta with a weird look asks," What do you mean?"
"I mean you can forget about some quality time, peace, sanity, and oh number 1 hormone's. Just welcome it buddy." Arjuns laughs at him holding onto his stomach. Before Dutta has anything to say or ask, the girls approach them. "We are going to the hospital now, to get the necessary tests done so we can be sure 100%." Arohi winks at Dutta and smiles at Naku. "Mein bhi chalta hoon" Dutta says as he takes out the car keys. "No need Dutta, the doctor will call with the results and it will be couple of hours." Arohi calmy explains to him. "What you can do is, get this whole Baaji thing sorted out because my sister is fed up with the game." Dutta nods his head and replies, "Theek hain, we will get this game in the play. We are going to AS." Dutta steps closer, places a tender kiss on her forehead and gently whispers, "Bring me some good new." Naku smiles and nods her head. The men turn; walk back towards AS room, while the girls see Amma coming in. They could not believe that once this woman was vibrant with colours on her back and adorned jewellery, but now she is dressed in a simple white sari. Arohi is so happy to see her that she steps forward and gives her a warm hug, "Amma aap yahan?" Amma returns the hug and gently answers, "I am their guest for a while."
"Your husband is the one that saved me and I must he is a brave soul." She tells Arohi. "Aur tumra pati bhi." She looks at Naku and caressess both of their heads. "Are you guys going somewhere?" She asks with a small smile. "Haan Amma, hospital we are going to find out whether or not Naku is expecting or not?" Arohi tells her with happiness in her voice. Amma smiles at Naku and says,"I will pray to god that today you get the news you want." Both of them smile and take their leave.
In AS room, she had filled in all the details to Roop and Leela. Both were laughing at the silly game their bhau is playing with Baaji. Dutta and Arjun approach the room and hear fit of laughter emerging and wondering what it all is about. "AS, what is going on?" Dutta questioned his mother with his arms folded in front of his chest. "I just filled your sisters in the game you are playing with Baaji." AS answered her son with a smile. "Bhau I did not know that you can be this funny?" Roops tells her brother with a grin. "Haan bhaul, you love Baaji and to play a cruel joke like this is so unlike you." Leela piped in with a laugh. Dutta clears his throat, walks towards where AS is sitting answers, "I know I am not the type to play games, however my dear brother needs a lesson in hiding an important part of his life from me." Everyone shakes their heads and laugh. Arjun gets a phone call and excuses himself. "AS what have you decided? Have you found a girl who is willing to go alone in this plan?" He asks his mother. "Bhau I have a friend from my college days, she is a model now and I know she will definetly agree to this." Roops tells him and shows a picture of her friend Avni. Dutta looks at the picture, raises his head and says,"Nice, have told her what to do?" Roops tells him that she will message her later on and explain the part she is going to play. Dutta nods his head and looks at his mother,"AS let's tell Baaji that you have picked a girl for him and get this plan on the road." AS nods in an agreement,"Haan I will also call the Pandit ji and get Baaji and Sandhya's kundali matched so; he can give us good muhurat for the wedding day."
Dutta nods his head and heads out. He sees Arjun finishing of phone call, "That was father, he said he is going to be in the country in 2 months time as he has some business to handle and wants to have Sands' wedding done around that time." Arjun calmly tells him. "No problem AS is going to talk to panditji for a good auspcious day and will tell her in two months is a good idea."
At the hospital, Naku had completed her required test, and was told that it was put in an STAT order. Naku is relieved that at least she will know soon enough, she gave Dutta's mobile # at the receptionsist to call with the results. Both of them made their way back to the house. Here at the house Dutta knew that Baaji had to handle some fallout of Anna's demise, so he was in his room waiting for him back. 3 hours later..
Arohi and Naku were sitting in living room talking to AS, Roop and Leela regarding Baaji. Roop's friend had called and told her that she good to go. Roop's had a picture of her friend and everyone was in an awe of how beautiful she was. Dutta and Baaji walked in and saw the women conversing about something, "What are you looking at Roops?" Baaji asked scratching his chin. Dutta looks over to Naku to make sure she was ok, because she looked really tired and flushed. "Baaji this is girl I have chosen for you to get married." AS tells him with a small smile playing on her lips. Dutta takes the picture and says, "Achi hai, sundar bhi hai kya kehta hai Baaji?" He hands the picture over to him. Baaji looks at the picture and is amazed that she indeed is pretty, however his heart belonged to one. "She is not bad to look at." Dutta smirks at his answer and pats his back, "So, then it is settled AS will call the girl over and get the engagement as soon as possible." Dutta tells his friend, while smugly looks at his family again. "Ok whatever you decide." Baaji tells them and is thinking how is he going to get out of this sitaution. Hell, if Sands' finds out she is going to murder him.
"Kya soch ra hai Baaji?" Naku looks at him with a smile. "Kuch nahi, Naku." He lies, but Dutta knew that his friend was trying to get out of this sitaution and he is finally maybe giving up and come clean. AS looks at Arohi who was smiling, "Arohi you are 7 months pregnant now, and we should have a godh bharai rasam for you." Arohi really touched by this places one of her hand on the baby bump. "We should do it here in this house." AS looks at her son for an answer, to which Dutts nods his head in an agreement. "Then it is settled I will call pandit ji, get a muhurat for the rasam, and also for the sagaai." She looks at Baaji with a smirk. Baaji looks up startled, "Why the rush AS? I mean pehle mein is ladki se mil toh lu phir sagaai baar mein soche gain."
"Ok, no problem Baaji I will give Avni a call and set a date up for you guys. What do you say?" Roops tells him with a grin. Baaji agrees with bobbing his head in a yes meanwhile, Dutta was thinking that Sands' should be present there as well, to make Baaji sweat out. He smiles at the thought and Naku notices this, she walks up to him, "Saab, maan, hi maan mein kya soch re hai?" Dutta faces his wife, gives her a naughty looks and replies, "Baad mein baatata tu hu." Naku gives him a skeptical look knowing that her husband's mind is working on some crazy idea.
Dutta's mobile rings and he picks up the call, "Hello." The person on the other end asks, "Hello sir can I please speak with Mrs. Nakusha Dutta Patil." Dutta knots his eyebrows together wondering who call him on his phone asking for his wife. "This is her husband speaking; may I know who is calling?" He asks calmly. "Oh yes Mr. Patil, this is Dr. Awasti calling from the hospital and I have the test results for your wife." Dutta gets tense, and nervous upon hearing the call, "Yes please go ahead." Dr.Awasti gives him the results of the pregnancy test over the phone, while Dutta listens intently without giving any sort of reaction the news. Naku looks at him and is worried because he looked like he had no reaction whatsoever on his face. "Thank you so much for calling." Dutta cuts the call and looks at his wife, who is nervous and has fear in her eyes. He looks over to AS and says, "AS I want to share something with you." AS looks at her son upon hearing him and asks, "Kya baat hai Dutta?" Is everything all right?" Dutta scratches his chin and announces, "Mubarak ho AS aap daadi baanewali hai." Hearing the joyous news the family starts to smile with happiness. Naku who was standing there shell shocked, could not believe that she is pregnant with her Saab's child. She protectively places one of her hands on her stomach. Dutta comes closer to his wife, cups her face and places a soft kiss on her forehead. "Thank you Naku. You have given me the happiest news of my life today." AS makes goes towards Naku, puts a kaala tika behind her ear, and says, "God bless you, and thank you beta for such wonderful news." Naku and Dutta both take her blessings. Everyone in the family congratulates the couple, while Dutta and Naku just had eyes for each other. Dutta could see the glow radiate from his wife and smiled. Arohi hugs her and says, "I knew you were pregnant, oh I am so happy." She kisses her on the cheek. Leela and Roops both smiled and said in unison "Vaheeni shukriya." Naku hugs them both. She finally stands beside Dutta while, AS does the aarti on them. Dutta could not describe how he was feeling, but was happy and that was all because of Naku.
Precap: Baaji meets Avni, Planning for the godh Bharai rasam and the date for Sagaai has been finalized who is going to be the bride?? Naku's hormone's, Dutta's restlessness.
Thank you all, here I am giving you guys update, but what to do I am on rapid fire update, I should really be studying for my final tomorrow, but I wanted to get this update out.
