Okaaaayyyyy frnds here comes the next update

At dinner, Roops asked Leela "Did Baji call you?"
"Yeah! I got a couple of his incoming calls, but I was talking to Aman, you know. Why anything serious?"
"Yeah! He said that there might be a prospective order, for your catering service. It's his new client, he wants throw a party at his own place, where he wants to get acquainted with the business group of the city."
Everyone looked up at Roops while she continued, "Baji says that if you click well in the first party, then there will be a couple of more lined up, since his new client will sign up a couple of business deals. If those are hit, then who knows your catering business may hit the big roads and starts its journey towards your dream."
"Yes, Roops' right, Leela call Baji up and speak to him after dinner, do not neglect it please."

Leela left her plate almost half filled, with food. She called Baji up, had her piece of conversation, and sat back at the table. Both Roops and Naku were looking at her with eager anticipation, when Leela suddenly said "I have a marathon flight from Dubai to Athens, to and fro for this week, and then the next week and a half, I would me on my half yearly leave. Baji said that the party is due in a couple of week's time, which means the week following my return" and she looked up at the other two. "The coming week I am not gonna be here she continued "and Roops would probably be having her first hearing of this month with the judge, which leaves only go you" and with that she looked up at Naku and added further "and I do not wish to let go of this opportunity, it sounds promising."
"Why are you looking at me?" Naku asked apprehensively
"Because, if neither me nor Roops is available for this week, you would have to take all the responsibilities, just for the week. Next week I'd be back and I'd take over. I promise. What say?" Leela said ardently.

"All you need to do is, go see the venue, design the invitation cards, get the menu ready, along with the choice of food, and look into the budget and finance. Baji will be there to guide you with the finance bit, and Roops will be busy just two days because of the hearing. She will be available for your help for the rest of the week. And you know you can do what I just asked you to do, and I'd be back by next week within a jiffy."
Naku looked incredulously at Leela first, calculated the pros, turned around to look at Roops and counted the cons, heaved a heavy sigh out loud and said "Ohkay!"
"Yeeeaahhhh ! I love you love you love you.... You guys are the best pals. Roops please help her out" and with that Leela hugged both Roops and Naku.
"Okay, I have an early flight tomorrow morning; I'd turn in for the day. Night night sweet hearts", she went straight to the nursery kissed little Anupama and went back to her room.

Chapter 11

Naku was busy fumbling with the files at Baji's office when she happened to see a new set of files on his desk. The big bold letters printed on the file almost screamed at her "DSP INDUSTRIES". The door swivelled open, and Naku looked up, it was Baji.
"Sorry, how long have you been waiting?" he came close and hugged her. She hugged him back saying "About 45 minutes."
"Got stuck in a meeting." Naku gave a little warm smile of understanding and asked "So what' this new catering jig all about?"
"It's no jig darling. Leela would get a major exposure if she can pull this successfully. The creme of the city's business society will be present. Leela would not only profit financially, but also have major promotion a kind of campaign which will be absolutely free. It's a double gain game, if you guys have the heart to plunge into it, take the risk and pull it off."

"There is one knot though" he added. Naku looked at Baji with questioning eyes. "This new client of mine is going to sign a business deal to conclude the party" he continued. Naku looked on "And the other party signing the deal is none other than Chauhan Diamonds Pvt. Ltd." Naku's mouth dropped open into a big 'O', her heart raced double its speed and she felt thirsty all of a sudden. "Close your mouth" Baji said lightly pushing Naku's open chin up.
"Does dad know that you are the lawyer?"
"Yes, he does, I am the legal representative of the company."
"Did you tell him that we were to cater the whole event?"
"I am a lawyer by profession; sadly I do not graze in fields. Leela might not pay me for overlooking the legalities of her business yet, but she is my client none the less. And most importantly you guys are my friends. Why would I be a nincompoop and crash land the first flight of a friend's dream?"
"May I ask who this new client of yours is?"
"Ah! Yes, well this guy has a huge shipping and petrochemical business, basically international dealership"
"DSP Industries!" Naku cut Baji short.
"Yes, how do you know? "
"The file on your desk, looks brand new and thin too, not too many papers, not many deals yet I suppose" Naku said.
"Woha! My Sherlock Holmes, you are a modern day genius."
"Thank you Watson" Naku replied back with a satisfactory grin.

The tap on the door was loud and clear, it swivelled open and Shikha, the youngest member of Baji's office walked in. She greeted Naku with a slight smile and warmth in her eyes and said "Roopali Sengupta's file is done, here you go" and handed over a file.
"Thank you Shikha"
"Hey! I am your girl Friday, and you don't thank your girls Friday. Besides you pay me to do these work, don't forget" Shikha added with a slight smile and took her leave.

Baji handed over the file to Naku and said "Could you please give this to Roops, and ask her to study it thoroughly? There are two papers in there that she needs to sign and she needs to be present at the judge's office at 11:00 a.m. sharp."
Naku took the file and nodded."So you had a meeting with this DSP Industries guy yesterday at the Crystal?"
"Yeah! Even you went to the Crystal to take your cell phone back, right? Who was he? What was his name?"
"Some major smart*** hunk, anme is Dutta Patil."
"No Kidding!" Baji's eyes bulged out in disbelief. Naku gave a slight sigh, knowing what was coming next and said "Spare me the details, I can put two and two together. I somehow had a hunch about this the moment I saw the file on your desk." Baji smiled at her across the table and said "Roops told me that you were disappointed at the meeting yesterday. What happened? I am sure he did not misbehave, I mean he is not the kind of person to manhandle the fairer kind."
"No he did not manhandle, not technically - you won't understand ' probably it's a girl's thing, I did not like his ways, he was rather intimidating, my gut feeling was not good enough."

"It is not a girl's thing it is a Nakusha Chauhan thing ' which gives me the bad feeling of another knot to take care of."
"You know me so well Baji" said Naku with a warm smile."Well I need to make a move, I will see what I can do with the designs and invitation and menu, but I will work from the back end. Ask Roops to take care of the front end client meets and seeing the venue till Leela arrives."
"As you wish" Baji said and with that they hugged each other and Naku left.

So is there any animosity between dutta and nakku's dad....or had he made a deal with mr.chauhan about marrying Nakku or something..he seemed to be aware who nakusha chauhan is and said i have plans for you and all....As i have said earlier this sounds and feels like a mills and boon novel by lynne graham or penny jordan. and I m loving it.....🤗
