So I am on my way to Kolkata as I told u all in my previous updates. It's a 34 hours train journey so I have nothing better to do rather than writing my updates so that I can give them to u all as soon as possible.

So we are at crucial FR scene. Kala is trying to separate the lovers and morey is here to help her ..Lets see if dutta belives her or his love.

Ch8

Morey walks in. 'Kyu aai ab mujhse koi jayada paise wala mil gaya apni khubsurat beti ke liye to main rakshas ban gaya. ' He turns to dutta,'Dutta bhao,us din ke liye maaf kar do. Wo kya hai na apan ko malum nahi tha aap kaun hai. Fir us din meri shadi thi is nakku se par iski maa aur ye chahte the ki iski shaddi kissi aur paise wale se ho. Main aapko puri baat batata hai'

Baaji- abbey chup, bhao, is kaminey ki baat mat suno bhao. Nakku ki koi majburi hogi uski baat sun lo.

Babi- haan bhao,nakku ka koi kasoor nahi hai. Log uski garibi aur khubsurati ka fayada uthayenge is liye maine use aisa banaya. She tells everyone about rupa(nakku's elder sis).

Dutta doesn't move a muscle, he is still looking at his nakku. He is noticing her face that's just like his nakku, those lips he had kissed so many times,those hands he had held ,those cheeks he had touched,those eyes that look inside his soul- they are the same but yet they belong to a stranger. Once again beauty has deceived him . he is a fool ,sach much gadha ,every time he falls for the wrong kind.

Nakku is silent, she can see in dutta's eyes that he has prosecuted her again without listening to her. She knows how much he is hurt by any kind of deception, she is looking for sign of trust,even a look that will tell her that he is willing to listen to her give her a chance. She pleads him with her eyes as they say more to eachother that way. That look ,those eyes are so familiar to dutta yet they belong to a stranger now, he rejects that plea and turns with disgust. Nakku is shattered. Dutta turns to morey,'bol tu kya kahna chahta hai.'

Morey – bhao, main ek mamuli sa inpector hun.inki basti ka charge tha mujhpar. Iski maa ne ek aadmi ka 15 hazar ka camera chori karne ki koshish kit hi. Chori to nahi kar pai par use thod diya. Us admi ne complain ki to maine iski maa ko arrest kiya. Thode din baad iska bhai parking lot se chori karte pakda gaya. Ab main manta hu ki aise me ek ladki kya kar sakti hai apne parivar ko bachane ke liye. Ye mere pass aye, raat ko. Itne haseen ladki ko dekh kaun nahi fislega saab.

Dutta turns his head in digust and pain. 'Phir?'

Babi- ye jhoot bol raha hai. Dutta raises her finger for her to keep quiet.

Morey- mere samne royi. Maine kaha jamanat le aa main chod dunga. To mere kadmo mein gir gayi. Kaha main aapke liye kuch bhi karungi. Aur sahib kya bolu, mujhe bhi sharam aati hai.. par kya batao us waqt to mujhe iske alawa kuch dikha hi nahi. Main iska deewana ho gaya . maine iske maa bhai sabki jamanat apni salary se di. Fir iske ghar jaake iska hath manga. Ye log bhi khushi se tayar ho gaye. Meri khushi ka tikana nahi raha. Shadi ke theek pahele din maine inke ghar ke agey 1 gaadi dekhi. Andar gaya to dekha, meri nakusha ek sheikh ke sath baithi hai aur ye log use dubai bhejne ki baat kar rahe hai. Main meri nakku ke liye darr gaya. Maine usi waqt us kaminey ko bhaga diya. To nakku mujh par baras padi kaha ki ye uski marzi se ho raha hai. Wo sirf ek inpector ki biwi bananne ke liye thodi paida hui hai. Wo to kissi raja se shadi karegi. Main pagal ho gaya maine kaha ki use mujhse shadi karni hogi. Par shaddi ke din ye log fir bhag nikle. Iska ye roop chupana mushkil tha is liye ye makeup kar liya. Par main to apni nakku ko kahi bhi pahchan sakta hu. Maine pakad liya. Apne pyaar ko panne ki koshish me us din aapse badtamezi ho gai saab. Bas'

Babi- ye kamina jhoot bolta hai.

Marey – fir mere samne ek aur sach aya. Main akela nahi tha jis se isne shaddi ka wada kiya tha.

A group of boys come in(they are the same bunch who used to tease nakku in first epi and proposed to her) one of the boys- saab, ye nakku bachpan se apni special friend hai. apun isko love karta tha. Apun ko laga ki nakku bhi apun se… apun ne isko apne sare dosto ke samne propose kiya tha. Us ne haan bola. Iske liye apun double mahnat karne laga shaddi ke liye. Par ek din suna ki ye morey saab se shaddi kar rahi hai. main gaya use bhaga ke lejane ke liye. Mujhe laga uski majboori me ye shaadi ho rahi hai. par ye boli kit ere jaise bekaar se shadi koi pagal karegi,mujhe to inspector ki biwi banna hai. saab ye jhooti kissi ko bhi phasa sakti hai.

Baaji- bhao, ye admi sab jhoot bol rahe hai. Aur ye more to, nakku se shaddi ke pahle hi jabardasti kar raha tha. Ye bechna chahta tha nakku ko.

Dutta- ye baat tujhe kaise pata? He looks at baaji. Baaji realizes his mistake and looks down.'Tu ye baat janta tha. Mujhe nahi bataya. Baaji tune mujhe dhoka diya. Mujh se itna bada sach chupaya.'

Kala-bhao, kaha than a, aastin ka saap. Tune mujh se jayada is par bharosa kiya tha na. dekh le.

Dutta looks at baaji, who is looks down and tells him that he had seen nakku in rains and she had told him her truth, but he was afraid to tell dutta the truth.

Kala- bhao, baaji ki koi galti nahi. Shayad baaji ko bhi nakku ne apne pyar ke jaal me phasaya ho. Ye uski purani adat hai lagti hai.

Dutta goes to baaji and slaps him. 'Mujhe dhoka diya. Maine tujhe apni ghar me jaga di, apna bhai mana mujhe ek ladki ke liye dhoka diya.mere pith pichche(behind my back) meri biwi ke sath.." He hits baaji again and again. Baaji starts bleeding.Roops runs to intervene dutta holds her throat in his hold and tells her to stay away and pushes her back. Baaji catches her.'bhao, tu gusse main pagal ho gaya hai. mujh par shak kar raha hai.'

Dutta- meri bahen se hath hata. He holds his hands. In haatho se tune nakku ko chua hai na baaji. Teri himmat kaise hui. Mera naukar ho kar ,mujhe dhoka dene ki himmat. He twists his hand and punches him. Baaji blocks his next punch with his arm.'Bhao, aap mujh par apna gussa nikalo par vahini ki pavitrata(piousness ) pe shakk mat karo'

Dutta smiles mockingly 'arey haan teri vahini? Bol nakku tu kuch nahi bolegi. Ye sab jhoot bol rahe hai. sab galat hai,haina? Tu akele sachchi..bakki sab jhoote..ye hai tera sach, haan?' he points at her face mockingly.

Nakku is watching shellshocked. She had believed that dutta would be angry with her about hiding the fact. But she had never thought that he would ever doubt her love. Not after the moments they had spent together, not after the beautiful night they had shared. He said he loved her,trusted her. Was that love so easily shaken by some people he doesn't even knew? They were strangers and I am his wife, if he belives them over me, then does he really love me. Haven't I proved my love for him over and over again. I hid things from him, I was wrong but if he can so easily doubt my love and character then he can never truly love me. How can I live with a man like that? How can he prosecute me again like last time with half facts?

Dutta comes and stands infront of her.'Mujhse bahut pyar karti hai. Mere liye jaan de degi. Ye sab mera viswaas jitney ke liye kiya. Tujhe raja se shadi karni thi..haina is liye tune shayad supriya ki bhi madat ki. Aur main bewakoof tujhe saza dene tujhse shaddi kar li. Tera sapna kitne asani se sach kar diya hai na.'

Dutta- aur main tujhe apna sab kuch maan liya. Kuch nahi kahgi. Pichli baar tujhe mauka nahi diya tha na safai dene ka (last time I didn't give you chance to speak for urself today I do.)aaj bol kya kahna hai.

Nakku keeps staring at him as if he is a stranger.

Dutta- kuch kah nahi rahi hai.bolti bandh ho gai. Maine tujhe apna khazana mana, par tu to mere zindagi ki sabse badi bhool hai. He takes out the MS and Sindor ka dibba and throws it away. All the sindor spills out.

Nakku looks at it and looks at dutta with unshed tears in his eyes.

Nakku-nahi, koi safai nahi degi nakku. Kisse ko kuch nahi bolegi. Kyu safai du kisse safai du. Mera gunah to apne maan liya hai. fir main kyu kuch kahu. Aap aaj mujhpar hi nahi apne dost par bhi shakk kar rahe hai. aap sach much insaan nahi hai. paththar hai. aap kissi ke pyaar ya wafa ke layak nahi. Todi mushkil aate hi sabse pahele hath aap jhatak dete hai. aap hai hi akele rahne ke kabil.

Main thak chuki hu. Aap se apne pyar ka izhar karke. Aapni sachai sabit karte karte. Mujhse galti hui. Main aapse ye bath chupai kyuki mujhe darr tha ki aap kya sochenge. Par ye sochenge mere bare me. Anjaan logo par aapko aapke pyaar se jayada yakin hai. ye hai aapka pyaar.

Nakku walks towards the MS and sindor. She picks it up and brings it to dutta.MS is broken and all the black motis are slipping down.

Nakku- aapka diya MS sachmuch kachcha hai. aapke pyar ki tarah kyunki isme viswas ki takat nahi. Isse sambhal ke rakhiye. Ye aapke pass nakusha dutta patil ki amanat hai. Ab ye rishta jhorna ya todne ka faisla main karungi. Ab main nahi aap apne pyar ki sachai sabit karenge..aur in logo ka sach bhi aap pata karenge. Tabtak na main na aapke naam ka sindor lagaungi aur nahi aapke samne gigiraungi(plead).

Nakku walks away in wet wedding finery(she had come out wearing her shadi ka joda and black makeup for FR…I forgot to mention in last update) As she walks out she steps on some broken glass pieces that dutta had broken in his tussle with baaji. Her legs starts bleeding and she leaves her bloody footprints all the way out. Everyone keeps staring at it.

Roops who is crying for baaji's wounds ,turns on dutta. 'Bhau ,aapne ye kya kiya? Baaji ko itne berahmi se mara wo bhi kisi sabut ke bina. Kala tai ki baato me aake. Puchiye unse ki unhe ye sab kaise pata. Ye vahini ke bare mein itna kaise janti hai.'

Kala- roops, tu aapni tai par shakk kar rahi hai.us badjalan(s**t) nakkusha ke liye. Mujhe mere bhau ki fikkar thi. Mujhe us par hamesha shakk tha par uska ye black n white chakkar nahi pata tha. More bhau ke paas aya tha,sach batane. Par main janti thi bhau par to uska kala jaadu chaya tha. Main purey sabot ke sath uske samne sach lana chati thi. Is liye main morey ke sath nakku ke basti gai waha mujhe ye sab mile aur maine inhe yaha bula liya. Baaji aur nakku ke bare mein main nahi janti thi. Par agar wo bhao ka dost hai to bhau ko sach kyu nahi bataya,dhoka kyu diya.

Roops- baaji ne koi dhoka diya. Vahini ki bhi koi majboori hogi. Aap auro par bharosa karke aapno ko durr kar rahe hai bhau.

Dutta- roops tu andar ja. Sudarshan ,baaji ko yaha se bahar nikal. Dutta dhokebaazo ko maaf nahi karta. Par is kuttey ne kai saal wafadari ki hai isliye isse zinda chod raha hu. Chala jay aha se. He turns to leave when babi stands infront of him. Ganpat is trying to hold her back.

Babi- teri wajah se meri bachchi ko itni takleef hui. Ye log to sab hai hi gidh(vultures) meri phool si bachchi ko nochna chahte the. Par tu to uska paati hai. tujhe to uski raksha karni thi, vishwas karna tha. Us par itne gandhe ilzam lage aur tu suntan raha. Tujhe jab apni galti ka ahsaas hoga tab tu samjhega. Tune aaj apne haato se aapna ghar toda hai dutta. Bappa tujhe kabhi maaf nahi karega.

Dutta walks out leaving a crying babi and shocked and baffled PN wasis. He walks out on the prints left by nakku.

Ch9

PN wasis are all shocked by the afternoon's event. They want to leave the hotel as soon as possible. Dutta had left the resort and nobody knew where he was. Baaji has been shown the door by a smirking sudarshan. Baaji had not even protested about it. Roops was crying inconsolably. Kala is very happy at the turn of events. Everyone is about to leave when babi comes crying and asks them whether they have seen nakku. AS says she must be in hotel somewhere. Where will she go. This resort is far from home and she does not know her way. She must be around.

Babi says she has looked everywhere nakku is not in the hotel. Kala says nastily,'gai hogi kahi kissi aur ko fasane . ab to bhai uski sachaye jaan gaya hai. use ksabhi rishta nahi rakhega . apna koi aur thikana dund rahi hogi. '

AS- kala, wo ab bhi dutta ki patni aur humari bahu hai. uski rakha karna humari zimedaari hai. tum log use dundhdo jao. AS sends some guards to find nakku.

They goto PN thinking that guards will bring nakku back. But no one can find nakku. It is late at night. Everyone is worried that neither dutta nor nakku has come back. Where are they?

Dutta is drinking heavily at the place where he had spent his first date with nakku. He remembers those moments and cries with pain. He screams at the skies and breaks down.

Nakku is walking alone on a deserted path ,tears slipping down her eyes.

(song in background – jiye to jiye kaise from film saajan)Both lovers are in tremendous pain.

Nakku is walking aimlessly on the roads, she is not even conscious where she is going. A fast running cars suddenly comes in front and hits her. She falls on the road, her forehead bleeding and unconscious.

A girl in jeans comes out of the car with a bunch of other youths. They are scared if she is dead. They want to leave her there but the girl insists on taking her to hospital. So they take her to the nearest hospital.

Nakku opens her eyes and finds herself in a strange room, a girl is sitting beside her. She sees nakku wake up and calls doctor. The doctors check nakku and pronounce her ok. But since she has hurt her head in the fall someone should take care of her in case of concussion. Nakku looks at the girl. She is very pretty with lively hazel eyes and flamboyant attitude.

'hi, mera naam shamaika hai. main dosto ke sath camp party se laut rahi. Aur achanak tum samne aa gayi mujhe break maarne ka bhi mauka nahi mila. Tumhara naam kya hai? kaun ho tum?'

'main nakku.'

'nakku? Bada pyaara naam hai. tumhare pass koi Id nahi tha. Kisse khabar dete kuch pata nahi chala. To hum tumhe yaha le aye. tumhare parivaar mein kaun hai. unhe khabar kar deti hu. '

Nakku looks away in tears. She thinks of the FR scene and her aai and dutta. 'aai, main janti hu, kit u mere liye pareshaan hai par main ab us ghar mein wapas nahi jaungi. Aur meri wajah se tujhe wo thikana chodna pade ye main nahi kar sakti. Waha tum log kumse kum theek se to rahoge. Saab tum logo ko kabhi beghar nahi karenge par mujhse ab wo bahut nafrat karte hai. kahi mera ghussa tum par na nikale. Mujhe ab aapni zindagi khud jeene hai. us kal ko bhulana hai, tabhi main tere pass aungi aai.'

Nakku decides not to tell about her past. 'mera koi nahi hai. sab chut gaya.'

'par ab tum kaha jaogi? Kya hua tumhare sath. Tum kissi shadi se bhagi ho kya?'

'ek sapne, ek rishte ko dafnaya(bury) hai.' aap mujhe yah alai . dhanyawad(thank you). Main aapna khayal rak lungi.'

Shamaika feels sad for nakku. but where can she send her.she decides that she can stay at her pg with her friends.She stays with her elder brother harsh, he was away on a job assignment , as soon as he comes back he can find a place for nakku.

She takes nakku to her friends place in mumbai. Her friends are not very welcoming. They tell shamaika that she should not trust anyone in todays world. She could be a killer or cheat or thief. How can shr trust her? It was fine till shamaika used to bring stray dogs and cats but this was a limit.

Shamaika insists that nakku is going to stay with them or else she will leave with nakku. she says she doesn't know why but she trusts nakku. She knows she is in trouble and she will never ask for anyone's help. She feels responsible for her. After a lot of debate they agree to keep nakku.

Nakku and the girls gradually become very good friends specially shamaika and nakku. shamaika works as helper in a school for special children. Nakku also starts working there. She becomes a favourite to all in small time.

But all the excitement of new life doesn't change the love or the pain that nakku suffers for her saab. At night when everyone is sleeping she cries herself to sleep thinking of him. She prays for his wellbeing everyday. Shamaika asks her who is this person who has hurt her this bad, nakku answers he will one day come for me. He is too stubborn to stay away. He is very hot tempered hence he becomes very thoughtless sometimes and acts as an ass. But then he'll come to his senses and search for her and take her back.

Shamaika- tujhe us gadhe par itna bharosa hai. jisne tumhara dil toda.

Nakku- thode se gadhe to hai par dil bachcho jaisa hai. jaldi se bhatk jata hai. fir sir se gussa utarte hi ekdum masoom ban jate hai jaise kuch nahi hua. Har baar main manati hu. Is baar wo manayenge.

Shamaika- kya naam hai unka? Nakku – bahut saare naam hai. par mere liye mere saab.

Shamaika- saab? Nakku -haan. She smiles and tells her stories of dutta and his quick temper and how everyone is scared of his anger. She tells shamaika about some funny incidents about dutta's anger and how he was embarrassed later. This makes them laugh.

One day when nakku comes back from school she sees a tall stranger standing in front of her door and trying to peek in. she thinks he is some thief as she had heard some scarry stories of Mumbai crimes from the girls. She decides to catch him. As soon as the guy discovers the hidden key under the pot of fern near the door and lets himself in nakku attacks him from behind and hits him with her bag. The man is stunned and falls on the floor, nakku picks up a broom lying near the entrance and starts beating him black and blue.

Nakku- chori karega, ladkiyo ko kidnap karega abhi maza chakhati hu. Ladkiyo ko kamjor samajhta hai. ye le. Joote kha. She takes her slipper and starts hitting him with both joota and broom.

Shamaika comes in and seeing this says 'arey nakku ruk, kya kar rahi ye chor nahi mere bhaiya hai. ruk jaa. Maar daalegi kya.'

Nakku- bhaiya. She gets up and drops joota and broom . tere bhaiya..he deva. She gasps.

The man stands up clutching his head. 'main to kab se kahne ki koshish kar raha hu. Tum suno tab naa.'

Shamaika- sorry bhaiya, nakku naye hai. wo jaanti nahi thi. Nakku, ye mere harsh bhaiya hai.aaj hi Mumbai laute hain. maine bhaiya ko phone kiya tha ki flat mein koi na ho to emergency key se andar aa jaye.

Nakku is very embarrassed. She looks at harsh 'sorry, wo ye log mujhe hamesha chaukana(alert) rahne kahte hai. mujhe laga.. wo…aapko jayada lagi to nahi na?'

Harsh- kisse ? bag se, jhaadu se ya aapke heel wale jooto se?

Nakku blusses and bites her tongue and looks up at him. He is a tall man ,lean and fair,a very pretty face that girls will find hard to resist. He had hazel eyes like his sisters and when he smiled like he was doing now he had an adorable dimple on his left cheek which just begged to be touched. His smile was infectious so nakku smiles back at him.

Harsh had thought that he had finally got his balance and was on his feet again after he had been floored by this little girl when he was floored again by her smile. He was not a girl chaser by any means, in his line of work girls and women were all as hard and scheming as any man. They were not to be trusted or mooned about. But this girl had an inert sweetness and untouched feeling about her. Her eyes were like mirror to her soul which made you feel like a better person.

They all go inside and laugh about the incident. Shamaika tells him how she met nakku and brought her to stay here. Harsh offers her to find her family and home. Nakku says she is not lost, she is waiting for someone to come for her. Harsh is puzzled but lets it go. They talk about different things.Shamaika asks about how long harsh will stay in Mumbai. He says for a few months and looks at nakku when he answers.

Dutta has become a real terror after nakku has left. He is restless inside as no one can find her but his pride stops him from looking for her himself. His disillusionment has become his anger and he lets it out on everyone. The servants stay away from him. His men have to take the blunt of his anger. Since baaji has left, they directly report to him and they pay heavy price for every mistake. Sudarshan had thought he would now take baaji's place in business but after few blotched attempts at it and after he had got some scorching set downs from bhau he had started staying away from it.

Dutta is relentless in everything he does. He drinks more and stays away from PN. His enemies have all holed up because they had never thought that dutta could ever be more terrifying. But this new dutta is not only merciless in his killings. He acts as if he revels in the danger and lives to kill people. He has become a walking nightmare.

PN wasis all keep quiet in his presence. Once or twice AS tried to say something but the impassive stony look in his eyes had stopped her from saying anything. Kala revels in the power she has gained back by banishing nakku. Dutta's misery just increases her pleasure tenfold. Kishore tried to talk to dutta but he said not to interfere or else he might just forget that kishore is married to his sister.

No one has heard from baaji and no one mentions his name in dutta's presence. Roops is the only person who knows where he is. She surreptitiously goes to meet him every day. She takes food for him and news about dutta . Baaji is working hard to find the truth about the FR and to make dutta realize his mistakes. He knows that dutta is hurting inside, but he wants dutta to realize his mistakes.

Babi and her family has left PN. AS had tried to stop them but they had refused as nakku was not there and bhau is doing nothing to find her they won't stay in PN. Dutta doesn't stop them and they go away to live in a small basti nearby, in hope that nakku will come back.

It has been a month since the FR incident. Dutta was crossing the ring area where his men practice fighting. He watches them workout. Two men are having a freestyle boxing practice. Once its over dutta goes on the ring and tells the winner to fight with him. They start the fight, its equal match as the man has good strategy and moves. He matches dutta punch to punch ,dutta starts enjoying the tussle . but then he remembers the FR incident and how baaji and nakku had left him. How both had refused to give any explaination. He starts hitting the man with all that pent up strength. Everyone is shocked that dutta was beating up the already fallen guy. It was supposed to be a practice match but dutta had somehow turned his man into a punching bag.

'Us bechare ko jaan se maar ke kya tera dard kum ho jayega?'

Dutta stops plummeting the guy into a pulp and looks up to find baaji standing there. 'teri yahan aane ki himmat kaise hui baajirao?'

Baaji- teri aankhon pe pada shakk ka parda hatane aaya hoon. Dekhna chahta hoon ki kya karega tu agar tujhe sachai ka pata chalega.

Dutta- mujhe kuch nahi sunnana. Jaan bachana chahta hai apni to bhaag jaa yahan se.

Baaji- bhau, sunnana to tujhe padega hi. Main tujhe nakku ke charitra par shakk nahi karne dunga. Maine use apni vahini kaha hai, vahini mana hai. humare is rishte par shakk karke tune isse jo beizzat (insult) kiya hai uski tujhe maafi maangni padegi.

Dutta turns away but baaji comes and stands in front of him. 'nahi dutta shri ram patil. Aaj tu sachai se muh nahi modega.' He turns and drags In the boys who had talked against nakku on the FR. Baaji hits them and tells them to tell the truth about nakku.

They boys are scared of baaji as he had really hit the boys close to death. They tell the truth about nakku's sister and how nakku was always the butt of jokes in the basti because of her looks and how they used to poke fun at her by proposing her. They also tell him the truth abot morey and how he was forcing her to marry him after he found out about her beauty by accident.

Dutta is speechless. He asks them why had they lied to him that day. They tell him that morey had paid them t o say so about nakku. they did it for money.

He turns and looks at baaji who is walking out of the house. He rushes to stop.'aye baaji, ruk. Mujhe maaf kar de maine teri dosti pe shakk kiya'

Baaji- ab humare beech wo rishta hi nahi raha bhau. Tu itna kamjor nikla. Main tere liye kuch bhi kar sakta hai. tune mere aur nakku ke bare mein aisa socha bhi kaise. Humari dosti khatam bhau. Bas, khatam…

He walks away leaving dutta feeling ashamed of his behavior. Dutta tries to call baaji but baaji keeps on walking.

(background song ruth ke humse kabhi..film jo jeeta wahi sikandar) dutta thinks of how he had met a little baaji while they were kids(flashback scenes of little dutta and baaji )Little dutta had gone to school one day and on his way he had seen a gang of his school bullies, all elder then him by many years beating a little boy. They were kicking him and had tied a noose around his neck. The little guy was trying hard to defend himself. Little dutta had jumped in to help the boy without a second thought. They both had got a good beating but had managed to make their stand in front of the bullies. Both had looked at the others bruised face and laughed heartily. Little dutta'kya naam hai tera?' little boy said woefully 'pata nahi?sab mujhe b*****d bolte hai'

Little dutta-chee, aise maat bol. Aai bolti hai ye galat baat hai. tera naam main rakhta hun….hmmmm..tu baajirao jaise ladhta hai(baajirao is a brave maharashtrian national hero who fought for Indian independence )tera naam hai baajirao,theek hai?' little baaji-theek hai bhau,aajse apan baajirao. Tu jo bolega waisaich hoga.

Somehow that day little dutta had become a hero in that little boy's eyes. He struck to him like fly to honey. Baaji would follow young dutta everywhere, he would also stand outside then school till dutta could come out of the class in the break.

Dutta would hide away his portion of the food for baaji and feed him. When aai found out, she would quietly increase dutta's portion so that both could eat. When dutta brought baaji home to meet his family aai had kissed his forehead lovingly just as she had done for dutta. That was the first loving touch anyone has ever given baaji.

Dutta would learns his lessons at school and then teach them to baaji.

Since that day they had become the best friends. A friendship that had endured the test of time and tide. Many of dutta's enemies had tried to break their bond by luring baaji away with money, but baaji had never wavered a bit. He had taken fierce beating and bullets for dutta. Dutta had done the same for him. Now that dutta thought of that fateful day of his wedding he could not believe he had actually thought baaji would ever cheat him. How had he been so blind? Was it time or has he really lost what it took to be a human, a friend?

Dutta keeps trying to meet baaji and apologies. Both remember their childhood friendship and they things they had done together. Dutta keeps trying to say sorry.

Song finishes and dutta forcibly tries to apologies to baaji, he says,'baaji, apne bhau ko dus joote maar le par aisa mat kar yaar. Main tujhse aanken bhi nahi mila pa raha hun. Ek baar maaf kar de please. '

Baaji cries and hugs dutta and tells him never to distrust him again as he only lives for dutta and his family. 'mera koi nahi hai bhau tere bina. Mujhe aise kabhi apne se alag mat kar.'

Both friends hug and cry. They make up their differences. Dutta asks him how he made those boys speak. Baaji tells him how he had been working to make dutta realize his mistake.

Dutta gets worried and tells him about nakku being missing for last one month, how he had tried to ignore the problem in his anger. 'meri wajah se naaku ghar chod kar chali gai. Pata nahi kaha kaha bhatak rahi hogi? Kiss haal mein hogi? Baaji, agar naku ko meri wajah se kuch ho gaya to main apne aap ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paunga. Main khud ko katam kar dalunga.'

Baaji- nahi bhau, nakku ko kuch nahi hoga. Apan use dundh ke layega. Waise bhi vahini to sherni hai. meri baat mano to aap uska tension leneki jagah use kaise manauge iska tension lo.

Dutta gives a tremulous smile but can'y shake of the forbidding feeling of doom .

Harsh had never met a more open and innocent person like nakku. Every day he is falling more and more under her spell. The three friends are having a great time, they go for walks, picnics,drives. He wants to take her out but nakku never takes the hint she keeps inviting shamiaka with them. And shamaika even though she understands her brother's feelings for her best friend can't ignore the plea in her eyes. She prays that one day nakku will forget the man who had hurt her and accept harsh. She starts desiring that nakku and harsh will get together. A few days before harsh has to report to his duty again they go for a picnic at a beach in harsh's Chevrolet. (background song aankhon mein neendein film we are family) harsh imagines his life with nakku as his partner while nakku thinks of…(sigh ..do I really have to say this)Dutta.

We see the commissioner of Mumbai police headquater office. The commissioner is talking on the phone to a minister. 'haan sir, main sab smbhal lunga. I am going to place my best on this. He has escaped so long because of lack of evidence but he won't be able to do this any long. We are trying to find the girl too. She might help the case. Yes sir'

He keeps the phone and calls his constable.' Ye letter deliver kar do.aur unsse kahna urgent hai.'

Nakku- aapko kya jarorat hai aapne chootiyo(vacation) ka akhri din pahad chadne ki.

Harsh- pahad chadna nahi nakku, trekking. Main trek pe jaraha hoon. Tum bhi saath chalo.

Nakku- bilkul nahi. English mein bhi bolo to matlab nahi badlega tum pahad chadne ja rahe ho. She turns away in huff.

Harsh is enjoying this reaction he feels that nakku has started feeling possessive. She will soon start loving him as much as he loves her. 'nakku, tum mujhe miss karogi?'

Nakku- tumhe yaad kare meri jooti. She remembers their first meeting,harsh remembers it too and they burst out laughing. 'aap kahan jaa rahe hai?'

Harsh- kali ghaati ke pahad par. It's a very good trek. Tum nahi dekhogi to belive nagi karogi.

Nakku is stunned as it's the same mountain where dutta and nakku had fallen down the cliff and got lost in the jungle. She has a bad premonition. She looks at harsh all teary eyes and begs him to be careful. 'Main sab kuch pahlehi kho chuki hun. Main aapko khona nahi chahti.' She goes away.

Harsh is ecstatic. He thinks that nakku cares for him as much as he does for her.

Harsh had made a successful trek up and down . It was getting late the night has fallen. He gets in his car and drives towards home . The road is slippery due to rains. On narrow track of road his car is overrun by a drunk truckdriver. Harsh losses his control on the wheels and his car is pushed of the road. He manages to flung himself out of the car before he falls with it.

Harsh is hanging down the cliff grasping a small shrub. He is trying to hoist himself up but the shrub is giving out on his weight. Just as he is about to fall a sturdy hand grabs his arm. He looks up to see a man is leaning down to pull him up.

Harsh and the man manage to pull him up the cliff . Harsh looks down and realizes that the guy had actually saved his life.

Harsh- thanks dude. Is khai(cliff) se to mera bhoot bhi nahi bachta. Jaan bacha di yaar. Yahan se to koi nahi bachta.

The man- bachche hai. Par yaha job hi gira hai wo badal kar wapas aya hai.

The wind has picked up, it's going to rain. The lightning strikes the sky and the man's face is revealed. Fate was playing a cruel game with these people or else why would harsh, who believes nakku is his destiny, met the one man who is nakku's destiny, dutta.

Dutta looks at the cliff from where his car had plunged into the cliff with nakku and him. She could have died. Thank god she didn't . How else would he have realized how beautiful love actually is? Since he and baaji had started looking for her they had met a stone wall. As if his nakku had disappeared without a trace. Everyday they renew their search and every day dutta is disappointed . He comes here every night to relive the moments with nakku in the forest and he goes to their shack to bask in the moments of their first date. Coming here gives him a hope that if he was supposed to lose nakku he would have lost her that day. The cliff reminds him how close and easy it was to lose his love here this way. But nakku survived it. She is fine just angry at him. Soon he'll find her, fall at her feet and ask for forgiveness and bring her back home. It can't be any other way. Dutta in his terrific talent of one sighted stubbornness refused to see any other possibility.

Harsh- badal kar haan laash mein. He laughs.

Dutta is quiet. Hrash looks at his stern face and says 'sorry, i think you didn't appreciate the joke. '

Harsh- i was just getting back home but was run over by some moron. My car is down there too. He nods at the cliff. So now i am alive but stuck. Thodi madat aur milegi.

Dutta nods towards his black scorpio. Harsh- by the way thanks again yaar, i am harsh kapoor. Aur aapki tariff?

Dutta looks at him.' Dutta'

Harsh- tum yahan itni raat ko kya kar rahe the.

Dutta- kuch dhond raha tha.

Harsh- kya?

Dutta- ek hosla. They get in the car and drive off. It starts raining heavily. They find an obstrucyion on the road and stop. A man taps on the window. Dutta slides it down. It's a villager. 'saab, barish se agey ka rasta bandh ho gaya hai. Jhad(Tree) gir gaya hai. Gaowale rasta saaf kar rahey hai. Aap thodi der yaha rukh jao.'

Dutta parks the car at a side and they get down and take shelter in a dhaba. A man brings some tea.

Dutta sits in a corner and takes out nakku's payal out of his pocket. Harsh sits at a bench and observes him. Dutta reminisces the morning when nakku had tried to grab the payal and fallen over him after their Night together.

(flashback tasha moment after tasha engagement)

Nakku is in dutta's room searching for something. 'yahin to tha us din.' Shakes the bedcloth and pillows.'kaha gaya? Kissi aur ke hath lag gaya to? Nahin. Kahan hai?'

Dutta clears his voice. 'kuch dhund rahi hai kya?' Nakku straightens up.'wo main…main wo..bas …'

Dutta takes out the payal from his kurtas pocket.'kahin ye to nahi?' He dangles it in front of her.

Nakku –yahi to main khoj rahi thi. She tries to get it . Dutta wisks it away and holds it just above her head and hand. Nakku tries grab it. Saab kya kar rahe ho de dona. Kab se ek hi payal mein hu. Koi dekhega to kya kahungi. Doo na.

Dutta- tumhe payal chahiye to le lo mere hath se. Nahi le sakti to ek shart par tumhe de dunga.

Nakku- shart?

Dutta- hmmm, haan. Us din jo kahani baaji ke aane se adhori rah gait hi use pura kar dete hai.

Nakku- kahani? She remembers baaji interrupting their kiss and lovemaking. She blushes pink. Saab, aap pagal ho gai hai. Layiye payal mujhe dejiye. She tries to grab it again but dutta keeps it out of her reach at a height. Nakku tries to jump and get it.

Dutta keeps teasing her. Midway to a jump nakku loses her balance and falls over dutta. They both fall flat on the bed,dutta with nakku on top. Nakku's body is pushed up against dutta's. She can feel his hardness against her softness. Nakku's breath is mingled with his. Her heart is beating hard and fast because of the closeness.

Dutta- kahani puri kar de? Nakku nods shyly. Dutta touches her lips with his. Lightly like a butterflies touch. He just keeps his lips in touch with hers and lets her control the kiss. Nakku leans down to kiss him properly and starts kissing him hard. He opens his mouth to welcome her dominance. The kiss gets intense. Dutta flips her so that she is laying crushed under him without breaking the kiss. He moves his lips from her mouth to her neck and bites the tender pulse there.

'Dutta, ye shaddi ke cards dekh lo aur guestlist bhi….' AS walks in and is stunned when she finds them like this. She is mortified and turns her back. Dutta and nakku jump apart and stand up from the bed tiding up their clothes and hair. Dutta- AS, wo hum …wo….haan main wo nakku ki aankh mein kachra chala gaya tha. Wahi nikal raha tha. Bus.

AS still with her back to them closes her eyes. AS- dutta, hum samaj rahe hai. Par pahele nakku se tumhari shaddi purey niyam se ho jaye ,fir tum jee bhar ke nakku ki aankhon ka kachchra nikal lena. Par kamre ka darwaza bandh karke. Tab tak tum dono ek dusre ke sath akele ek kamre main nahi rahoge. Nakku chalo meri puja ki thali saza do. Dutta tum guestlist check kar lo.

Nakku looks at dutta giving him a sad 'it's all your fault' look and leaves the room while keeping her head demurely down in front of AS. Dutta keeps looking at her longingly then he notices that AS is still in the room. AS gives him a hard disapproving look and dutta lowers his head down ,ashamed. AS leaves the room. Dutta lifts his head and sees nakku peeping back in the room and poking her tongue at him. She gives him a saucy smile and runs away before he could catch her.

Dutta is shaken from his reverie by a jolt on his shoulder. He finds harsh sitting in front of him shaking him. Harsh-bade ajeeb admi ho yaar jagte huye sapna dekhte ho.

Dutta- sapna nahi kissi ki yaad hai.

Harsh- yaad to mujhe bhi bahut aa rahi hai uski. Bahut roka usne yahan aane se. ye sab pata chalega to khachcha chaba jayegi.

Dutta- us se bahut pyar karte ho. Harsh- bahut jayada. Tum ne kissi se pyar kiya hai?

Dutta-itna pyar kiya hai ki pyar ko khud par guroor(pride)aa jaye.

Harsh- kya naam hai uska? Dutta shakes his head in negation . 'naam nahi batana to bas kahan mile,kaise pyar hua ye to bata do. Raat lambi hai fursat bhi hai.' dutta looks away and stares at the darkness.

Harsh – achcha main meri wali ke bare mein batata hun. Phoolon si nazook hai. uski muskurahat pe jaan dene ka dil karta hai. Zulf khule to lagta hai ki badal shayad yahi hai. gahri hari ankhon ki gahrai jaise…jaise..

Dutta- jaise kehti ho bas mujhme doob jao. Uske anso kahte hai ki wada karo mujhe zameen pe nahi girne dogey. Choti choti baton mein sare jahan ki khushi dhund leti hai aur apne dil mein sari duniya ka dard samet leti hai…

Harsh- use dekh kar kuch achcha karne ka dil karta hai. apni duniya mein rang bharne ka man karta hai.

Dutta- wo aye to sab kuch naya sa lagta hai…uske bin zameen asmaan adhoora lagne lagta hai.

Harsh- hai to badi bhooli..badi chuimui (delicate)se par ….jab ghusa aajaye to..Dutta- sherni ban jati hai..

They both look at each other and laugh. Harsh- lagta hai hum dono ki mohabat ek si hai..kahin hume ek hi ladki se to pyaar nahi hua na. kyuki meri wali jaise aur koi nahi.

Dutta- meri wali ko dekhoge to apni mohabat bhool jaoge..sabse alag hai samjhe.

They both talk of how they had met their respective loves and laugh at each other's anecdotes. They share drinks and get drunk and become good drunk buddies. It's been a long time since dutta had laughed so much. He starts feeling that maybe he'll find nakku soon. The road is cleared and they get in the car with there bottle. Harsh switches on the radio and the song is played 'tu mujhe suna main tujhe sunaon apni prem khani..kaun hai wo kaise hai wo tere sapno ki raani' (film chandani) He starts singing along and dutta joins him too.

They have great time and harsh reaches his home. Nakku is waiting for him as she couldn't contact him on the phone. She is standing behind the curtains and waiting for him. She is feelingvery restless as if her dutta is closeby. She is worried that something bad is about to happen soon. She prays for his wellbeing. Just then she hears a car approach and harsh getting out of the car with a man. Its dark so she can't see his face. She sees that harsh is totally drunk and so is the other guy. She rushes out to help harsh.Meanwhile harsh has spotted nakku's silhouette on the window and points her to dutta 'wo dekho mera pyaar.chal andar tujhe use milata hun'

Dutta- nahi yaar. Meri wali ko dhund lene de phir tu meri wali ko dekh lena main teriwali ko .pata chal jayega ki kaun sabse achchi hai. waise bhi is halat mein tujhe dekhegi to mujhe blame karegi . mujhe jaan se maar dalegi to?

They both laugh and dutta turns around and leaves the compound of the building. While nakku reaches harsh and holds him.'Aapne sharab pe ..aapki gaadi kahan hai..itni der kyu ho gai.'

Harsh- ek dost mil gaya to yaari dosti mein bas chad gai..usi ne ghar chod diya.Nakku- aap andar chalo. And she helps him get inside harsh takes unsteady steps while singing the song in slurred voice while dutta reaches his car and opens the door singing the same song very loudly in slurred tune. Nakku stops and looks back but can't see anyone due to the darkness and closed wall,just that a tall man is singing and drinking near a cars open door. She turns back and helps harsh .

Dutta is about to get in the car when a wind blows. He feels nakku's presence nearby and turns but sees no one just harsh being dragged in by a girl. He shakes of the feeling and drives away singing.
