Things I Noticed - 09/14/10

• Today's episode started where yesterday's left off - Nakku looking at herself in the mirror as she applied sindoor and thinking of Dutta. So it seemed almost natural to me that as soon as Baabi (her closest friend) walked in and Nakku felt a compulsive need to point out to her that she was married. That while normally she performed the pooja as a spinster, this time she will be praying for her husband - her Dutta - and his safety. Like she was so overwhelmed with the realization of being Dutta's (lawfully wedded? 😆) wife that she just had to share! *sigh* I found that sort of cute - just like I found it cute when Dutta burned himself over and over again.. *sigh* *notices the stares* No.. No.. I am not a sadist! 🤣🤣

• SETHJIIIIIII!!!! OMG! Where have you been?!?! LMAO! I love this kid!! 😃😃😃

• Who else thought Sethji was going to try and get something out of Nakku when he started to praise her?! 🤣🤣🤣 Call it a force of habit, but when I see a younger sibling maska-maro an older one, I immediately think "What do you need?!"! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

• Bwwaahahahahahahaha! *rolls off the bed laughing* 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Baabi yells at Sethji in her typical-desi-mom fashion and what does he do? He tells her with oh-so-much-pride k ab "Main abhi bara ho gaya hai! Sab samajh mein ata hai mere ko! Tu kitna chik chik chik chik karti rehti hai!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I LOVE this kid!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

• When Nakku said that she was going to ask Bappa today if she should tell Dutta her truth or not, for a minute I thought she meant that she hadn't decide on whether she was going to tell him at all! And then I realized what she really meant (and sort of failed to say) was that she was going let Bappa decide if today was the day she told Dutta her truth. Because honestly, the other option is just not possible - there is no way she cannot tell Dutta anything. I mean if the way he looks at Nakku is any indication, I am sure Dutta will have some activities planned that might result the color getting smudged off! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

• Nakku's really just given it all up to Bappa, hasn't she? She's really given into to faith and stopped worrying! I sort of commend her for that. 😳

• So the CVs make an attempt to give a reason for Roops "disappearance"... *thinks* Is this a "Roops" disappearance or was the actress playing "Roops" unavailable for the scene..? *wonders*
  

• When Aayi Sahib is talking to Nakku she addresses Dutta to her as 'tere Dutta" - warna before it used to be "mere Dutta"... Even Aayi Sahib's begun to understand that now Nakku's first and foremost in her son's life (and hopefully NOT because of her "dhaal" capabilities). 😆 Also when she tells Nakku "Aaja!" at the very end, who else thought it sounded like a mother trying to placate her kid with candies! Aaja! If you come, your Dutta will be safe because of it! 😆😆😆😆

• Wait.. Hold on.. What?!?!? Why the heck does a 10 year old care about Aayi Sahib not sitting in the pooja? I mean the kid was running away in his own world - WHY did he stop and notice that Aayi Sahib wasn't sitting and then was intrigued by it enough that he had to stop and ask? Really CVs?!?!? *confused muh* I don't know what kids you hang out with, but the kids I know require a blow horn to be distracted when they are running to do something with such focus. They really don't care about why some adult is standing while the others are not.. *rolls eyes* I mean I know it was their way of "informing" the general public about the rules of the pooja - that how only spinsters or married women can participate - but I am SURE they could have found another way to approach that little piece of information..
  

• LMAO!! Sethji gets yelled at twice and he thinks his mom's gone senile?! Apparently he doesn't get yelled at much, does he? Beta, mera ghar paida hote toh pata chalta! Din mein 4-5 baar dant na parhey toh khana bhi hazam nahi hota tha! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

• *sigh* Nakku asks only two things of her God - one that the truthfulness of her love need not be doubted (Dutta could get angry/upset in any other way and blame her for anything at all - but if he doubted the sincerity of her feelings for him, she wouldn't be able to bear it! Especially since Baji calling her insincere in the rain that day was all it took for Nakku to get rattled and walk out in the rain. So we can all imagine the effect these words will have coming from Dutta) AND that her Sahib should not be hurt in the process (that he should always remain happy - with or without her... *sigh*).

• Something's up with Leela's right hand..? *curious muh* Do I remember reading a couple of days ago that she'd broken her arm? Because when Nakku gave everyone aarti Leela only used her left hand.. 🤔 Is the actress playing Leela's character hurt? Do I spy a cast on her lower arm?!?

• Dutta walks in and the first person his gaze looks for and stops on is Nakku.. *sigh* Do I even need to say more?! 😍

• Dutta's home and Nakku wants to sneak a peek at him - so she slowly raises her eyes to his face and she hadn't even been looking at him for more than a second when he turns to look at her! And once she's acknowledged his gaze, she lowers her eyes. *sigh* I love how these two are so aware of each other - He knew Nakku was looking at him the moment she did! And the fact that she didn't get "startled" when he turned to look at her, showed that she knew he'd turn too! *sigh* *sigh* *sigh* 😍

• AND he keeps looking at Nakku throughout the pooja!! *sigh* Seriously?!?!?! HOW in the world does this man expect her or anyone else to focus on the pooja when he keeps giving her those looks?!? HOW?!?! *sigh some more* 😍

• So Aayi mentioning that Baji is her son is a stark reminder to Baji about how he is NOT! *heart breaking sigh*

• When Aayi Sahib volunteers Baji and Dutta for the ritual, Baji feels cornered? I wonder why...? Is it because he felt he wasn't worthy of the honor and being the man that he is, he wasn't going to stake his claim on something he didn't deserve..? 🤔

• When Baji starts finding excuses for why he can't participate in the morning ritual, Aayi Sahib and those around her get amused - like they think Baji's just being silly even though he doesn't realize it. But Dutta, he gets upset and annoyed - to hear Baji act like a formal subordinate to him just irks him! He keeps looking at Baji with those annoyed/questioning eyes as though he's trying to understand what is going on before him just as much as he's waiting for Baji to stop his "nonsense". And Nakku... *sigh* She understands. Not long ago she'd been blamed for something similar by Kala - for being after Dutta for his money and power. And even though Nakku knew it wasn't true, it had bothered her. So today when Baji seems to be displaying similar symptoms, Nakku knows right away what's bothering him and why.. *sigh* I love this bond Dutta-Nakku-Baji share! Each of them has a unique relationship to one another - it isn't like Baji is just a third wheel to Dutta-Nakku's love or Nakku's just a side interest to Baji-Dutta's friendship. They are all equally important and have independent relationships with each other. I really love that! *touchwood*
  

• "Kiyoun tere haathon mein mehendi hai?!" - Dutta... LOL!!! Dutta's so annoyed by Baji's seemingly lame excuses! Bless his heart! 🤣🤣

• Baji leave - Dutta doesn't notice as much. But Nakku leaves (as she follows Baji) and Dutta is absolutely aware of her movements! *sigh*
  

• Did anyone else feel that when Dutta saw Nakku leave he wasn't thinking "Why is she following him! *dramatic music*" - that he was just wondering what was up but it was just as normal and unsuspecting as he would wonder if he saw Roops follow Baji or Nakku follow Baabi. That he was more concerned for the "trouble" that might have causes two people to walk away than the fact that those two particular people (Nakku and Baji) walked away together. *wonders if she makes any sense* 😆 I really hope that there is no jealousy track in play here because so far I didn't see any "hints" for it today - but then maybe I am just seeing what I want to see in which case if I have to see a stupid jealousy track between Dutta-Nakku-Baji, I'll be very very very pissed/annoyed! 😳

• Oh my God... 😍 When the pandit tells Dutta that he's going to have to abstain from food and drink tomorrow morning, the first thing Dutta does is look at Nakku - as if to acess her reaction to the idea of him being uncomfortable and "in pain" (even though he won't really be IN pain! 😆). And then right after, he assures the pandit (and her) that he would be okay - that there is nothing to worry about! *sigh* 😍

• "Zindagi mein pehli baar apni marzi sey inke samne sir jhuka raha hon - jo karonga poorey maan aur vidhi k saath karonga..." - Dutta.. *sigh* Alright, I am probably reading too much into this but who else felt that when Dutta said this, it wasn't just directed towards his God. That he was also addressing Nakku - telling her that for the first time he's whole heartedly "jhuka" his head in front of someone he loved (her) and that he will do whatever it takes and so it with full rites and rituals (i.e. get married with full ceremony). *wonders* I really strongly felt that's what he said! Especially since once he said it, he turned to Nakku and looked at her as though he was trying to assure her just how much he meant it.. And even she, once she realizes his conviction, lowers her gaze in acknowledgment. Anyone..? No? Yes..? *wonders some more* 😆

• Baji's festering in his own pain and reliving Kala's venomous words. He wants to be alone, but Nakku walks in. And no matter how much the guy asks her to leave, Nakku just keeps pushing on! Kisi baat sey naraz ho? Apni vahini ko nahi bataye ga? Kya hua? Main tere sey baat kar rahi hoon! And he just keeps pleading her to leave - to let him be. But she just won't! - he worries for her so much and she isn't supposed to worry any?!? Is he worried about lying to Dutta?! What is it?! Until Baji finally asked her to leave! She doesn't need to be told everything, does she?!, he asks! And THAT is when I yelled out to the screen "NOW you know how Dutta feels Baji! Now you do!!!" 🤣🤣🤣 Because when Nakku decides she wants to help someone she cares for (Dutta with his drinking, Dutta with Supriya, Baji with his sadness) she damn well does it! Andhi aye ya toofan! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

• Baji doesn't really believe Kala's words - he doesn't really believe that he is an "asteen ka saanp". But the fact that she said it just upsets him so much - he is angry at being accused of being so and he wants to vent. So he finally blurts it all out to Nakku, challenging her to claim otherwise. And this is why, when Dutta walk in on their conversation, Baji is so embarrassed - because Dutta wasn't supposed to hear it, because it wasn't true! Because he was supposed to get angry about this little issue all on his own, work it out and get over it! But now that he's said it out loud and Dutta's heard it, now to those that have heard him it might seem that he feels it's true - and THAT is something that is embarrassing/uncomfortable to him. Because he really doesn't believe it. At least I thought so.. 🤔

• From the minute Dutta walks in, from the first words he speaks, Dutta's upset and he's angry. Baji's hurt him and even though Baji's been hurt himself, Dutta is not going to let this slide. Dutta isn't going to "placate" Baji here - he is going to hurl blow after blow at Baji! With every question, with every statement! (And this was a very guy thing to do, in my opinion... A typical "best bud" thing to do!) Because Baji should know better (which he does, I believe)! Because Baji shouldn't be saying this - he shouldn't be doubting their care and concern for him! Because Baji should be convinced that they care for him and love him like their own after everything they've been through together! Because now he's leaving room for speculations - was all Baji did just because it was his job?! Did he jump in front of flying bullets for Dutta because of his call of duty? Or was it friendship and care (like Dutta knows it was) that compelled him to do so! Dutta is just upset that Baji's doubting Dutta's friendship him and allowing for speculations concerning his friendship for Dutta! Dutta's angry at Baji FOR Baji! And how freaking sweet was that!?! It was heart breaking - yes.. It was painful - yes! But in the grand scheme of things and as I look at the big picture, it really was touching. Very very very very touching. 😳

• Baji cared for Dutta's mother like she was his own - he gave money out of his own pocket for Aayi Sahib's treatment and not because she was Dutta's mother. But because he considered her his own too. And THAT is what (I feel) touched Dutta's heart. And that is why Dutta took Baji's money, even though eventually he found out that it was "help".

• "Bol kaise chukaon tere paanch soow ka karz?" - Dutta.. *sigh* *heart breaks*

• "Chupa k rakna apne kamre mein! Kaheen nazar k samne aa gayi toh tujhey meri dosti ki yaad na dila dey!" - Dutta *sigh* OMG! This man does not leave a job half done does he?! Baji made a stupid mistake - one he shouldn't have made and hurt Dutta (and Aayi Sahib, unknowingly) in the process and damn it Dutta wouldn't let that slide! It wasn't vicious though - it was painful, yes... but it was a show of how much Dutta cared for him. Unless I am suffering from Stockholm's Syndrome and every torture seems like "love" to me.. *wonders* 🤣🤣🤣

I loved that kid too, just because he momentarily stopped Babi from talking. Her 'Meri Nakku, meri Nakku' jaap constantly irritates me. Sach main itna chik chik karti hai...

Andd now we know why that particular scene was inserted there..Apparently Dutta's father is still alive. It wasn't their way of informing the 'general public' the rules of the pooja..it's just their way of reminding us that she is a widow...only to bring back her husband in near future...

I love the looks they exchange. The looks are filled with so much genuine affection, it melts my heart *sigh* And I love how they instead of getting startled or instantly avoiding each other's gaze, they acknowledge it somehow...*sigh*

I'm not sure who he was addressing with that line but I liked that line a lot. I loved how it was said with so much conviction, sincerity by Dutta...and man oh man...I love this guy's voice.

LOL! I was reminded of DN former scenes too and her similar 'Main nahin jaigi'..No wonder Dutta fell for her....rock solid determination this girl have! And I find that scene/ this specific 'Nahin jaigi' bit, her concern for Baji, very sweet!
