I'll edit this post when I'm done. 😊
Edit add:
Sorry for the delay guys! But I must say, I really liked today's episode – not that I don't like other episodes. But today's episode gave us some more insight into Dutta and I totally loved it. Anyways, getting on with the post – read at your own risk…? 😆
- I am SO glad that people are finally noticing the "uncomfortable" bride. When she took a little too long to take the ring from her mom and then even longer to put it on Dutta's finger – everyone except for the parents (for both the bride-to-be and the groom) seemed to notice that something was off. And to that I say "FINALLY!!!". That girl's face made for one of the most unhappy brides I'd ever seen and before today, no one seemed to notice. I was beginning to have doubts about Kaala's "sharpness" – but of course she rested all my doubts when she was the first person to notice Supriya's "off" behavior (as soon as Supriya hesitated to take the ring from her mother).
- I wonder what Supriya's aayi was telling her when Supriya was hesitating to pick up the ring. It seemed like she was pacifying a child or trying to convince a child to do something he/she thought might hurt. With that nod and smile it seemed like she was trying tell Supriya: "Do it, child. Trust me, he won't eat you. Take it…" 🤣
- Total gentleman thing # 1: Dutta stood there with his hand stretched out while Supriya calmed her nerves enough to put the ring on him – regardless of how long it took her (read "very long") not once did he look restless/agitated! A guy that is patient and gives the girl her space/time?! - I want one!!!😍
- Dutta thing # 1: See below.
- Did anyone else think that while Supriya was putting the ring on Dutta, Nakku looked like she was in a dream – where the person getting engaged to Dutta was her and not Supriya..? Anyone? Well I did. And I want to see that dream too! And that once everyone started clapping, she sort of came out of her dream and realized what was happening.
- Total gentleman thing # 2: And THEN he stood there with his palm stretched out, waiting for her to place her hand in his – for as long as it took her (again, read "very very very long"). Even when her hand was close enough to grab, he waited. He didn't reach for it – he didn't try to expedite the process. He waited – OMG! I want one now!!!😍
- Dutta thing # 2: See below.
- Dutta's such a principled/mannered guy for a Don – after the engagement he went around getting blessings from each of the parents. Unlike our bride-to-be (Not!) who stood there playing tug-of-war with her engagement ring for all to see.
- For ksh: Supriya's mom and Dutta still didn't speak! Not when he got her blessings and not later when he came in Supriya's room. Two days without any conversation?! Maybe we should start a "Speak-woman" countdown for both the mother and the daughter! 🤣
- Can I just say I despise people who think that they are for some unexplainable reason superior to their help? Because that is just disgusting. 🤢 First Leela acts like a blind person asking the new "mavali" what it is he wants when she can clearly see a glass of water in his hand. And THEN she tries to explain to him the (imaginary) social barrier between him and Supriya since he's the "naukar" and she's "Dutta Bhao's" wife-to-be. Gross, I say. Gross. 🤢
- Dutta kissed Roops forehead – I thought that was just the cutest thing. With every passing day I find more faith in the possibility that Roops is in "Team Dutta" and not with the evil "duo". Nonetheless, I found their brother-sister bonding very adorable – he was genuinely affectionate towards her (more than he was with any of his other sisters) and she looks like she was sincerely happy for him. I like that.
- Total gentleman thing # 3: He shook hands with Ganpat – See! He doesn't think there is a barrier between the "servant" and the "master". I like that too. Can I say again – I want one! 😍
- Supriya looked like she was going to go into cardiac arrest when Baaji called the "mavali" over to meet with Dutta. Good thing she only passed out – if the bride-to-be died on her engagement it wouldn't make for a very happy occasion. 🤣

- What exactly is the doctor trying to hear for right under Supriya's collarbone? The last I checked, that's not where our heart is. And usually doctors check eyes for pupil response using a light – they don't just tug on the eye lids for fun. Who's this quack?! And then his diagnosis is "cold feet before the wedding"?! And his prescription was "open windows/fresh air"?! SERIOUSLY!?! Where did they find this guy!?!!! And who gave him license to practice! The last I checked medicine/medical doctors and psychiatry/psychiatrist were two completely different areas of study. 🤣
- So Aayi knew that Dutta would/could get upset while talking to Supriya. She advised him to talk to her with love – I like how Aayi knows what's in Dutta's heart without him having to say it. Just like Baabi knows how Nakku feels without her having to express it. I love both Dutta's and Nakku's relationship with their mothers – and I love the mothers too!
- When Dutta told that he wanted to talk to Supriya alone, everyone understood the hint and left. But Nakku ventured on to take some more liberties – to her, she wasn't part of "everyone". If Dutta wanted her to leave, he'd have to ask her to do so. I like that authority she showed in front of him – it wasn't a very "in your face" thing, but she held her own too. I like it a lot! And when Dutta asked her to leave, all he had to do was say and she understood what he needed. No questions asked. No confusion either. *sigh* I like how they understand each other without the need of spoken words.
- Dutta's eyes follow Nakku until she's out of the room. From the moment she nodded to leave till the moment she left, his eyes followed her every move out. I like that!!!! He didn't do that with ANYONE but her. I fiercely like that!
- "Main har baat, aik hi baar bolta hoon." *sigh* Enough said. 😍
- Supriya's hyperventilating when Dutta's in front of her. I mean I don't blame her – I would too, BUT for totally different reasons! 😆
- Dutta thing # 6: See below
- Did anyone else notice the undeterred faith in Roop's voice when she told Kaala that Dutta would bring Supriya around?! Do I need to say again that I think Roops is totally "Team Dutta"…
- These two sisters – Kaala and Leela – really do despise each other, don't they?! I mean Leela cannot STAND Kaala's know-it-all attitude - Kaala thinks she's better than both her other sisters and that she for some reason deserves their respect and admiration. I am sure if they didn't have a common "enemy" in Dutta's form these two sisters wouldn't even stay in the same room together.
- Dutta thing # 1-6: So I knew this was going to be a long point and that's why I wanted to wait until the end of the episode to get into it. Dutta really is observant of his surroundings, isn't he? He knew something was off the minute Supriya glanced up at him before she put the ring on his finger (thing #1). And then when she took forever to place her hand in his, he noticed that too (thing #2). When he was meeting with everyone after the engagement and Baaji stopped him to meet the "mavali" – he noticed how Supriya seemed unsettled when Baaji called the guy over (thing #3). All this seemed off to him, but he didn't know what to make of it. That is until Supriya passed out and the guy leapt to catch her (thing # 4) – Dutta wasn't bothered that a guy was touching his fiance (even Baaji praised the guy for it later so that was definitely not the issue) - he looked perplexed by the situation, but certainly not angry. The "mavali" was supposed to be a body guard, so "guarding" Supriya was his job – now whether he was protecting her from bullets or from the rock hard floor are minor details. No, what bothered him was how the guy seemed to stare at Supriya – with such concern and worry. Now that is NOT how a body guard worries for those he guards. And Dutta noticed that. He noticed how the guy seemed to care too much about Supriya – and that's when thing slowly started falling into place. But the final push came when the evil duo + Sudarshan pitched the idea of Supriya not wanting to marry Dutta. THAT is when everything made sense (thing # 5). That is when he KNEW that Supriya had lied to him. And THAT is what made him so upset that he went outside in a (controlled) rage. Even when he was outside, the only things roaming in his head were how she didn't want to marry him (i.e. she'd lied) and that he could get the TRUTH from her. So when he came back inside, he had a more determined aura around him – he knew what he wanted to hear and there was no more confusion (thing # 6). He asked Supriya what scared her, tried to give her an opening to talk by bringing in the "attack" (maybe she'd use that attack as a reason for not wanting to marry him and then divert into the real reason i.e. the boyfriend). I LOVED how Dutta's observant nature was demonstrated in this episode. I loved how his "process" was shown. And I loved how Dutta was more upset about the "lie" than he was about his fiance not wanting to marry him – I like how he is not the kind of guy who gets caught up in "what people might think". Instead what matters to him is the truth – probably because he was betrayed before. And I love that. But then again, this is what I think… whether it's true or not is a whole other story.
- Precap thing: I KNEW IT! When Dutta would be enraged it would be a sight to see and I was right! I want it to be tomorrow already… *sigh*😍
I am sorry it took so long – this was just one of those episodes. It gave me a lot of "food for thought" with respect to Dutta – took me a while to get it all sorted down on paper. Sorry guys! 😳
