Murli Sharma
Murli Sharma, we hear, had signed up for a show produced by Vikram Bhatt and he even shot for it for a couple of days.

But soon Murli realised chose to opt out because he wasn't happy with the role and the money. When asked, Murli refused to go into details. "It's something between me and Vikram. I just want to say he's a great guy to be with," he said. Meanwhile, we hear he will be soon be doing a cameo in Lagi Tujhse Lagan.

Every actor dreams of playing a different role, a role that they admire. Our tele stars are no different either. They have their own inspirations within the industry itself. When we asked some of our tele stars about the role that they would like to essay, they were only too glad to convey their aspirations to TellyCafe.

Let's now see what they had to say:-

Kritika Kamra
I would love to play Nupur of 'Mile Jab Hum Tum' fame. Although Rati PandeyNupur's role from 'Mile Jab…'. I absolutely love the sweetness of the character. And the way the role has been shaped and moulded is simply amazing!

Kapil Nirmal

does it beautifully and seems best suited for it, I would love to do it on television too. My vote goes to
I like Yudi's character the most but would love to act in the character of 'Keshav Pandit' of Zee TV, if I get a chance of opting for some other role. It's definitely interesting! If not Yudi then Keshav Pandit would have been my choice.

Divyanka Tripathi

Hmm… I would love to be 'Jhansi Ki Rani'. My mom always says that you would have been best suited as Rani Lakshmi Bai. I would also love to act in a role of such historical eminence, that too, a legendary character like her. I keep admiring 'Jhansi Ki Rani' whenever the show is aired on television and feel that I could have done it better.

Nikhil Chadda

I would love to do Dutta Bhau from 'Laagi Tujse Lagan'. I simply love his personality. The character is very intense with various shades. This role is my first choice, therefore. The character has a lot of courage and aggressiveness that attracts me.

Daljit Kaur

I want to essay a character like Ammaji from 'Iss Des Na Aaana Lado' even if it doesn't suit my age. Its not that I like the negative shades, but I do admire the strength of the character. The power that the character wields makes me want to do it. It always been my dream to essay such strong roles. Ammaji just rocks!

Abhishek Rawat

I don't want to play the lovey-dovey roles at all. I want to be in Sony TV's C.I.D or play similar characters. Or else, I would love to play the role of Pankaj Kapoor in 'Office Office', the character of Musaddi Lal, who is a common man but handles different situations ideally.

Ratan Rajput

I always wanted to play Gangu Bai, the character admirably played by our little darling Saloni Daini. She makes people laugh. I had made people cry before and am done with the crying now. I would love to be Gangu Bai and make the viewers laugh for a change.

Karan Mehra

I don't see any character which inspires me from the current lot of serials but yes, the character of Hiten Tejwani as Karan in 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahi Thi' was awesome and I admire it deeply. I still think that I could have played the role well as I feel it was best suited for me.

TellyCafe wishes all our Television actors success with their dream projects, All the best, hope you get your dream roles soon.

What actors do in their spare time

Television actors who work for more than 12 hours daily, hardly get time to spend some time for themselves and with their loved ones. Few actors tell us how they spend time when they have an off from their hectic shooting schedule.

Nakusha aka Mahi Vij
Being an actor, it is very difficult to take out time for oneself. On the sets of my serial, whenever we get a break, I take that opportunity to either go through my scripts over and over again. Or you will find me logged on to Facebook to connect with my friends. After doing all that, if I still have time, then I catch up on movies on my laptop.

You've seen them swish their pallus and cry buckets. But have you ever imagined the good girls of Indian television swap the glycerine for the sexy lip gloss and smouldering eyeshadow? Well, on screen they might be the conservative ghunghat-clad bahus, but off screen these leading ladies are divas when it comes to their style quotient. Here's a look at some of the leading ladies of Indian television in their glam avatar.

Sara Khan: Sadhna of the popular show Sapna Babul Ka ... Bidaai is mostly seen in saris and salwaar kameez on screen. While not shooting, this trendy ladette can be spotted chilling out in western casuals. Even during award functions the petite actor ditches the ethnic look for a more glamorous avatar that is sure to send shock-waves among her fans. Quite a difference from what she is on screen.

Pallavi Subhash: Ever since she made her debut in Indian television, Pallavi Subhash has been typecast as the traditional bahu or beti. Fed up with the stereotyping this lead actor decided to go for a change in image and voila! Out comes the babe in her! A glam photoshoot later, Pallavi is out there to prove that not only can she carry of those Indian outfits and characters, but given a chance can prove that she is no less a glam girl.

Richa Soni: While playing a Bihari bahu in Sabki Jodi Wohi Banata ... Bhagya Vidhata, one cannot get the picture of a traditionally clad Bindiya out of their minds. But off screen Richa Soni accentuates her best features — those long legs — in short skirts and knee length boots. A trendy haircut to compliment and attitude to match makes this girl a babe in real life.

Mahi Vij: The former model who shot to dizzy heights after the best-selling Tu Hai Wohi music video, got her big break on telly as the ugly duckling in Laagi Tujh Se Lagan. But unfortunately she has to keep her picture-perfect looks under cover due to the storyline. While in the show Nakusha might be the simpleton, in real life, Mahi sure knows how to turn the heat on when she's partying.

Hina Khan: The eternally ghunghat- clad Akshara of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a far cry from what she in on screen. Though she does not go the dare bare way in real life, her off screen avatar is anything but uptight. With trendy outfits and hair let loose, the actor shows off her carefree attitude when she's not shooting.

Ragini Khanna: Known for her spunk and bubbly demeanour, Ragini Khanna is currently the typical TV bahu clad in those six yards in Sasural Gendha Phool. While she might seem comfortable in a sari, off screen it's just western outfits for the actor, which highlights her spunky attitude and youthful looks.

Aamna Sharif who was recently seen as Kashish on Star Plus's show 'Kahin Toh Hoga' with actor Rajeev Khandelwal was constantly linked with him during the show. However, she kept denying these rumors. Now, after her venture into Bollywood with the movie 'Aloo Chaat', she has been linked to her co-star Aftab Shivdasani. An insider has informed us about the latest development.

If the rumours are to be believed than Mishal Raheja a.k.a Dutta Bhau of 'Laagi Tujse Lagan' was also linked up with Aamna Sharif. In fact it is also being said that Mishal Raheja was her ex-boy friend. This was before she was linked with Aftab Shivdasani. The question now is whether these actors have such chemistry between them during the course of their work together of it is just a publicity stunt. Mishal and Aamna have not yet worked together, so, apparently, the chemistry here is of a different kind.

We contacted Mishal in order to confirm and he says, "It's my personal life.I don't want to comment on it, don't know who spreads such rumors."

So, what are we supposed to think of now?

Mahhi Vij: The naughtiest thing I have done so far during monsoons is that I had bunked my school for a day to enjoy the rain. I was in the eighth standard and Delhi rains can be quite unpredictable and it also rains hailstones sometimes. On that particular day, it was raining hailstones and all my school friends, who traveled by the same school bus decided to bunk school, gather at a junction and enjoy the weather.

Every individual has some bad habit or the other, conduct that is abhorred by others. Sometimes they want to get rid of it themselves but fail to do so. While good manners are appreciated by one and all, bad ones draw a lot of flak. Tele Stars are no different either. They have, in fact, shared a few of their so called bad habits with TellyCafe. Here we go…

Mahi Vij

I am always busy either on my phone or chatting to friends online. That's my worst habit as I even ignore to eat while chatting. I never listen to anyone while I keep busy chatting on my cell phone. I know that this is a very bad habit but I really can't control it as I'm totally addicted.
