Amit Tandon tasted fame and success as a singer in Indian Idol and then as Prithvi of Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai and Manthan of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Amit now returns to television after a hiatus with Zee?s new serial 'Saath Banaayenge Ek Aashiyaan'. The show will be seen occupying the afternoon slot at 1 pm. The Telly Buzz team caught up with Amit to know more about his new character.

Amit Tandon plays a businessman, a NRI named Abhay. He gives an insight to his character as he says, ? I am an NRI who has just returned to India with my wife. The show is all about relationships, generation gaps, the culture clash between people in India and NRIs. It revolves mostly round the way we adjust to the Indian lifestyle and adapt ourselves to how our elders want us to live. The role of my wife is essayed by a new actress, Pulika.?

Annotating on his new role, Amit says, ?This is a different kind of a role. I had done a negative character in KYPH, and am also anchoring a show on SAB TV called Bolo Yo which focuses on the life of youngsters. And in KSBKBT, I play a very macho guy. In this serial, my character is a goody two shoes with a romantic touch. He is very outspoken and like Prithvi, he does not believe in sacrificing anything in life. Instead, he will stretch himself to get what he wants.?

And will the audience see Amit as Manthan on-screen anytime in the near future? ?Regarding Manthan?, replies Amit, ?I guess it might be a permanent break from the show. I am quite happy with anchoring, my new role in Zee?s serial and my growth as a singer.


Poor tanya will have to be without her son forever.

The article says that Amit tondin will not do Manthan's role..so they might bring a new guy to play the role....so Manthan will still be there....so now we are waiting for Lakshya and Manthan both 😆

Actually lots of us have left this kyunki forum coz of some nasty experiences plus the stupid story line of kyunki.........

But the likes of me still drop to the forum to say hello...

When we started this thread, Tanay's role was going really strong, and now she has dissappeared, so we all have also gone....still it is surprising that peole are still discovering this thread and coming and posting on it....truely amazing for me .......coz we started with hardly 3-4 active members......great going Tanya fans...and all fo us have left the forum.......

But I am glad that thsi thread is active coz we need some space to express ourselves without getting bashed😆

My thoughts too!!! I too disappeared because I was so annoyed with all the bashing up!! having come back from oblivion I am enjoying this stint . So many threads are so light-hearted and full of fun!! !!!we owe this to you😉.

i think there is less bashing these days coz every character is negative in kunki 😆 😆 😆
