Hello BT creatives (who no doubt visit this forum from time to time). I realise this may be a very late observation but I would like to point out something. In Kyunki, the character of JThakral, a mad, eccentric Obsessive Compulsive was introduced with a look that actually suits an eccentric person. However, one thing you failed to realise when you associated Thakral with cats is that cats are the worlds cleanest animals.
Though the beard is part of Thakral's look, you should do some research. Thakral is obsessed with cats - the cleanest animals on earth - and therefore should be obsessed with cleanliness as part of his madness. The unkempt, unshaven look implies dirtiness which cats can't stand. BT creatives were looking for a unique look but didn't do enough research otherwise they would not associate an unkempt dirty-looking master with the world's cleanest animals. You may wish to revisit JThakral's look - a beard does not show anything other than an unkempt face. Either use a well-groomed full blown beard which covers the chin and jaw completely (i.e. false beard) or shave it off (the preference of Ram Kapoor fans all over). The incomplete beard does not look or mesh well with the concept of cats who spend hours grooming themselves to look good.
This is my POV and in no way a reflection on the actor who does a stupendous job bringing out the mad, bad, obsessessed Thakral.
