hi everyone! this is my new ff. plz read and comment on it and plz bear with me if it seems stupid.
part 1:
"You are an orphan… just an orphan who is feeding on my father's money." He was expecting a reaction, those reproachful eyes filling up with tears adding to the fear and anxiety he always created in them, but he got none. Surprisingly, she retorted, "maybe, but I am far better than you." And with eyes full of loathing and hatred she walked off, with a grace that he had always unwillingly admired.
Manthan had always felt a crude pleasure in hurting everyone, especially KT. But today he had not got a reaction and instead had earned himself an unpleasant retort, which was rare. He decided that he would make her pay for this retort, and started looking for a chance to get her alone. But that day Lakshya seemed to be dogging her steps too, and this, for some strange reason unknown to him, irritated Manthan.
Finally, he saw her enter her room alone to get ready for the pooja they were holding that evening and there was also going to be some function that night.
He entered the room, somehow not being noticed by KT, and waited behind the closet for her to come out of the washroom. At last the door opened and out came KT; his first thought was how pretty and graceful this girl could look, and instead of saying something he stared and stared at her. KT had not noticed Manthan but as she turned towards the closet she saw him and screamed! He had no other option but to go forward and put his hand over her mouth cutting off her voice mid-scream.
His face was inches away from hers and this time he saw the fear clearly in her eyes, he bent towards her and as if involuntarily she moved a step back. "Don't worry I'll not hurt you, you are looking gorgeous!" he said. Her eyes widened with shock and the words surprised him, too. It had been as if someone else had spoken the words out of his mouth. He kept staring at her for what seemed like ages, and suddenly a bang on the door of her room startled him out of his reverie. " I'm sorry, if I have alarmed you. But I had no intentions of doing so" he again saw her eyes widen under his hand and then realizing what he was doing he took his hand off her mouth and went to the window, climbing down to the garden and went off. He was surprised with himself; he was surprised that he could say such things as ' sorry' and 'you look beautiful ' to KT!
In her room, KT stood shocked not daring to believe her senses. What had happened just now? Had it been a dream? Again a bang on her room brought her back to her sense and she shakily walked to the door and opened it, "what happened?" was the first question that Lakshya asked her as he entered her room. He looked around and again asked the same question, this time noticing the beads of perspiration on her forehead. " Why are you looking so scared? And why are you shaking? KT what's the matter?" he asked, now positively worried, as she hugged him and cried her heart out. He held her for a long time, trying to calm her down. At last when she had calmed down a little, he asked,
"Are you going to tell me what made you scream and then cry like that?'' as she shook her head, he said," Ok, are you ready for the pooja?'' she nodded and he led the way down to the hall where the pooja was being held.
As she entered the hall with Lakshya, she saw Manthan looking at both of them with narrowed eyes, anger showing clearly on his face. KT again felt scared of those fearful eyes and drew close to Lakshya. As he put his hand across her shoulder, she felt secure, and smiled at him instead.
Lakshya had always made her feel safe and protected. She had liked him from the time when she had seen him for the first time, but she was not sure why she felt this whenever he was with her. She sometimes caught herself thinking of him or smiling at his photo, involuntarily. Though she did not want to admit this even to herself, she was in love with him. And she always felt a twinge of jealousy, whenever she saw him talking to another girl.
Then she saw him again, Manthan was following them. And the fear that had left her for some time came back with a bang.
Lakshya had always known that KT was the one; he had unconsciously and unknowingly started caring for her. He could not remember the date and time but knew that he had loved her for a long time. He turned to say something to KT when he noticed the same fearful glance and anxiety in her eyes which he had noticed that evening some time ago when he had entered her room.
