Nobody knows that who is going to play Tulsi but the two names finalized have been Padmini Kolhapure and Gautami Kapoor. We know that Padmini has had a meeting with Balaji last week and Gautami tells us that she has had no meeting with Ekta till now.

According to Padmini's secretary, if her name is finalized she will play a strong character in the show but she will not replace Tulsi. But Balaji contradicts this saying that Tulsi will be replaced by the actress who is selected finally.

Jovina, Padmini's secretary says: "We are waiting for a call from Balaji. At Padmini's meeting they discussed the character which she is going to play and it is not that of Tulsi. She will play a different character which will be as strong as Tulsi. Everyone says that Padmini is going to play Tulsi but this is not true."

So what exactly is going to happen in the show?
Mrinal, scriptwriter of Kyunki says: "There will be only one entry in the show and she will play Tulsi. We put many ideas before Ekta for Tulsi's disappearance and we are working to create drama around her character. We want to make her exit interesting and Ekta is guiding us about how to deal with the story and create drama."

Creative Head of Balaji, Nivedita says, "I had a meeting with Padmini and Ekta is thinking about this. Whoever enters the show will play Tulsi. We are meeting people for Tulsi's role. In one episode Tulsi is going to go missing for some time and in that same episode a new Tulsi will enter. Smriti hasn't given us the last date of her shoot so it is not decided when Smriti will leave.

As to why Smriti is leaving Kyunki, Nivedita does not give any details saying "I do not know why Smriti is leaving the show. My boss, Ekta, told me to look for a new Tulsi and I'm doing that."

The news of Smriti's exit and replacement is taking new twists every day and everyone seems to have a different opinion as to what will happen. The plot may even have the new Tulsi being an imposter and Smriti Irani returning after some a while as anything is possible when it comes to Balaji shows. Or is this just a new strategy for Ekta to get more publicity for her shows?
