i've been putting off reading darkness' updates and watching the shows since i got back. but finally did it.
* (15mar) okay, i just know that i'm going to get a lot of hatred from the nandini-fan(atics) at if, but man, is she a bad rape counselor or what?! did anyone else just choke on their orange juice when she said that once kt tells lakshya about it, everything will be over?? her relationship with karan could never get above the rape, so kt shouldn't tell lakshya about kt's own assault? excuse me!! if it's so unbearable, perhaps suicide is the only way out???!
er, mz. nandini, at the least, perhaps you could do this after you tell her that rape is not the final fullstop in a girl's life? that things will be better through time? that those who love her will always love her, even though it will be difficult?
of course, the funniest line in the whole thing was "no matter what, i'll be there for you." wrong placement. and given she is such a manic depressive, wrong promise??!! 😆 imagine living with nandini for the rest of your life!!! argh!!!

* mr. detective is cool. i liked how he subjected every-shantiniketan male to his keen scrutiny.
even though that look of "keen scrutiny" was so over-the-top i choked on my oj again. where've all the good tv-directors gone??
oh, there they are: he did that little choke when mohini talks about servants in his house very well indeed! 😆
* much as lakshya can carry off bright colours, i do wish they would put him in some white or black. sigh.
* so tripti hates all the fuss being made for her son's ceremony, but she sure dresses up for the occasion! did any other woman have as much jewellry on??
* daksha-chachi is sure living up to her promise of stirring up life to create gossip...
* btw, why is all this happening without tulsi-daadi? has she even been informed??? has kt talked with her on phone??? why not???!
* what exactly did karan-chachu have in mind when he said "come with me" to nandini after she told him about her worries of kt telling lakshya? i didn't get it at all..

* that scene of lakshya'-kt's was superb. gushy comments moved to "sweet things on 15, 16 mar"
* so, how many of you went "oh-oh, i've got a bad feeling about this!" when lakshya repeatedly said that he and kt would never be seperated? in such serials, the moment such things are said, exactly the opposite happens.
* (16mar) okay, is there anyway we could just have daksha-c focus on bhoomi and manthan? she is great when she does - stomach-ticklingly funny in fact. she is terrible when she gets after the other women. that act of hers with "gha-ruh ki bahu" was stomach-churningly bad. 🤢 anyway, wasn't it she who invited both nandini and ganga to that round-the-fire ceremony the day before holi? why the hypocrisy now?? 🤢
it made me think: why do i think what she does with the grandkids is not bad manners, but what she does with the sons' wives is? am i so conditioned in the indian culture?? hmm.
* so, i see that kt and lakshya are back to being walking zombies*? actually, i thought that was a good touch - these two have been through a lot..

* so, who else thinks that daksha-chachi really obsesses about having-and-keeping a husband? first, she tells tanya not to think about her "himmat", but about true himmat. now, she warns her husband not to put her ring into the pot - is she worried that she will lose him??
* who else felt majorly nostalgic at eklavya's flashbacks? kt looked sooo happy and innocent in them.
* hmm, so all the men wear rings?? lakshya doesn't wear them usually, but today he got engaged and so is wearing one?
* the ring thing is soooo fake, i just can't give it a pinch of credibility! kt connecting it with the random stone in her room is fake. come to think of it, kt picking up the random stone in her room as belonging to the assaulter was fake. kt carrying the stone with her in that ceremonial outfit?? fake, fake, fake!
* okay, so kt flees and lakshya just sits there? even after she tells him of the assault? hmm. 😕
* nandini, who's been assaulted by her own husband, can't believe that the assaulter is someone from shantiniketan? she who doesn't even know the people in shantiniketan today? hmmm.
* kinda liked the lakshya-kt non-eye non-contact before the dance. kt can't meet his eyes. lakshya's are filled with concern and questions. please, people, make this a nicer story than nandini-karan, puhlease!
* omg, mrs. oberoi has actually brought her daughter to the temple on mrs. sahil-virani's saying? what story did mrs. sahil-virani feed mrs. oberoi that she is willing to subject her daughter to another attempt for young mr. virani?? why does mrs. oberoi believe mrs. sahil-virani so much??
* so, tripti knows kt will not marry lakshya. does she know of the assault? my first thought was that on holi-day, she saw a guy coming out of kt's room. but if she had any idea of this, she would have had no problem trying to break up lakshya-kt earlier.
this attempt came after she overheard kt-lakshya. but she apparently didn't hear of the assault, or she would've heard lakshya's response as well. or was it just bad editing and she actually heard kt scream out that she was raped?
i am not looking forward to monday's episode.
