Wait no more,'cuz Eklavya enters Fri

Overnight he was on the 'hate' list of every telly viewer. His acidic tongue, venomous intents and barbarous moves (not to forget his trademark ponytail), made Ansh Gujaral a cult villain! And the man who is riding the wave of success because if this character is actor Akashdeep Saigal. It has never happened before that a bad boy was so badly missed by the audience, that public demand made the creatives of the show re-think about bringing him back!

And finally the day has come! Akashdeep makes a grand re-entry in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, not as Ansh but as his son Eklavya!

As per news that's filtered in, Eklavya is a stark contrast from his evil father. He plays a super positive person, is deeply spiritual (note the red tika, chopped mop and shaved look!), who is concerned about the well-being of the Virani family. In fact, he has imbibed all the good traits of his dadi Tulsi Virani. He settles the disputes between his cousins, and behaves like a perfect elder brother. But, unfortunately his face resembles his late father. Thus, his own family doesn't trust him and are always wary of his actions.

Talking about Eklavya' introduction in Kyunki…..let's first go into in a flashback mode.
Remember how filmi was the intro track of Ansh, where he was portrayed as a rich, spoilt brat, who dives in his gigantic pool with just his trunks on! And so was his departing track, (one of the most expensive scene ever shot for TV), where he was gunned down with bullets fired by Tulsi ma, that make him fly up in the air and fall off a cliff! The TRPs skyrocketed that day.

And now, on 25 August, be glued to the TV sets, as beta Eklavya does a griha pravesh in Shanti Niketan with a Ganesh idol in his hands and face smeared with gulal. His entry has been positioned keeping the upcoming Ganesh festival in mind. And because of a colour-smeared face, no one in the Virani clan recognizes him! The story gets all the more gripping as he bears his real face in the next week!

What's interesting is that actor Akashdeep will cast a great spell on the tube, post mid year with not just Kyunki…, but also with Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa where he will sashay with a noted choreographer to win the coveted prize money!
