She belongs to GenNext — the generation that's just made its entry in Star Plus' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. And even though all eyes are on Mouni Roy, as the actor's all set to take over from Tulsi, the pretty girl says that she feels no pressure to perform.
Quite contrary to her name, that means someone who is quiet, Mouni is a self-admitted chatterbox. "I am the exact opposite of my name. I love talking," says Mouni, who is currently in the city to spend her vacations. A student of Jamia Millia university in Delhi, Mouni originally hails from Bengal. Used to living by herself, Mouni says she doesn't mind not having her family around. "Of course, I miss them like crazy. And I want to go home for Durga pooja. But I am not scared to live on my own. Mumbai is new to me, but I am sure I will figure my way around this absolutely wonderful city that is so exciting to be in," says Mouni.
And despite of being a part of one of the most popular serials on TV Mouni has not really followed the 'K' serials. "I haven't seen any of the 'K' serials. But that is mostly because I have been busy studying till now. And now, there is no time to watch anything," she says. And though the popularity bit hasn't happened to Mouni yet, she did have butterflies in her stomach when she shot with Smriti Tulsi Iraani. "That was the second day. I was really nervous, but Smriti was really nice to me. Once I got a hang of it, I wasn't nervous anymore," says Mouni.
As of now Mouni seems to be all set to step into the world of saas and bahus to fight a few battles in the kitchen. And she is not the one to keep quiet. What say Mouni?
