Part 16

Recap-Ranbir starts playing games again to win Kanya. Eklavya spills the beans in a sordid manner to Ranbir and Kanya's mothers who aren't pleased with their children. Eklavya and KT finally become one.

The next Day

The fab 4 R back to face what they left behind in Shantiniketan. Ranbir had a surprise waiting for him in the face of his mother Malika who knew if she went to see Ranbir he's know she meant business. Ranbir wouldn't know what hit him. As soon as he set foot in the house Ranbir's mom took Ranbir outside to chat.

M-Ranbir what am I hearing? U with some girl. All these years U have got away with a lot. Now its too much. All your friends R getting married one by one but U……..Everytime it's the same old story. Now U will marry that too the girl of my choice. I thought I stood a better chance if I traipsed after U rather than at home. U seem to have a knack for getting away with excuse after excuse.

R-Nice to know U R showing your authority over me Mom but whats this no How R U son? R U well? Straight to the point.

M-Aur nahin to kya tera Maa jo hu! Where do U think get all your stubbornness and direct approach from? This time I am serious. No excuses. U have hurt a lot of people whether U did it on purpose or not but I fear all those cries will come haunting U son.

R-R U trying to scare me Mom? Me and marriage R U crazy? Who in their right mind will marry me? I will never be faithful to her fully. My work will always come first amongst other things. I'm not ready not in this lifetime.

M-I know of 1 mad girl crazy enough to do it but first I need to know what she thinks. Besides if U can fall in love then I'm sure U can marry.

Malika goes into the house where she spots Kanya. She thinks the girl is a beauty. That too very natural looking nothing over the top. She already liked her. Any girl that can stand up to her son is definitely worth Malika's respect. Ranbir by nature is very stern and strong willed. He needs someone to take him down a peg or. 2.

M-U must be Kanya. I heard so much about U from Eklavya.

K-U R Ranbir's Mom right! I can tell the way Ranbir looked at U.

M-My crazy son never backs down from anything he sets his mind to but he will yield to me. That boy I don't know what will become of him.

K-Time does a wonder who knows when things shift. He will come good. Ranbir is a good guy at heart just needs someone to show him the way.

M-Kanya U talk of him like U know him well. He is my only son but I really want him to make a go of his life. Settle down like his friends. All his brothers R married and he is almost the last of his friends left single. U know of any crazy girl that can put Ranbir in his place let me know because I quite like U.

K-[Kanya is shocked by Malika's admission she was very direct]I don't think I'm the right person for Ranbir. He is insane and belongs in some asylum somewhere. Every time I think I know him he changes completely into another person.

M-Already U know him more than anyone other than his family. I see a spark in U whenever U gaze across to see Ranbir. He has that same look when he looks at U.

K-Auntiji U need to know I'm not fit to be in your family. I have no parents apart from my adoptive parents and my adoptive sisters and brother. Theres so much to me that I can't say Ranbir needs a stable person in his life one he can control. Sorry one that can keep him in line.

M-Your honesty is what I admire in U and Eklavya speaks highly of U. Ranbir loves U he never even looks at women that way but with U he respects U.

Ranbir looks at his Mom and Kanya speaking which makes him feel happy as Kanya is his ideal mate but marriage was taking it a little far. Who was his mother after. He knew she meant what she said. He'd lose the millions he'd built his empire from scratch. He could do it all over again but he loved his mother too much. Why now when things were going great. He looked over his shoulder and saw a mad Vaidehi approaching his way. Just to make his day even better.

R-U need to pay attention to your own marriage and forget about my impending one.

V-What am I to do when U were supposed to come through with your end of the bargain. U never did so I will make Eklavya's marriage a nightmare and the same for Laksh bechara.

R-Marriage is a commitment fine U got married with other intentions but surely Laksh's little boy honesty act would have changed your outlook I guess U R as cold hearted as ever and there's no changing U. At least try to make everyone happy. U being like this won't make U happy one bit. U do realize that. There's more to life than grudges that will eat away at U. Look at me. I'm proof of that.

V-Speak for yourself Ranbir. Marriage might be a commitment but now I'm here I think I'll have fun messing with U all. I can't wait who your mother chooses for U. Poor thing will have a nightmare she won't be able to come out of. U R right only a deranged person will have the sense to marry U I guess I'm one the other must be some sad lifeless person.

K-Vaidehi will U ever chill with all this verbal abuse. Ranbir will get someone he deserves. But let it be and U concentrate on your own life. He has bigger things to worry about. That's punishment enough for him until he meets the person he ends up with.[Ranbir looks at Kanya with curiosity. Does she know who the person is? She appeared as if she knew who it was.]

R-[To Kanya] Do U know something I don't?

K-Give it sometime U might be surprised by who it is. She might never want U. Nobody is disturbed enough to take U on. That would be a lifetime in prison for them. U never know she might be closer to home than U think. [Gives him a wink and leaves to talk to Bhumi and Joydeep who were still acting like they were on Honeymoon]

Eklavya and KT were hand in hand. Laksh looks at them as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing. KT and Eklavya looked like newlyweds worse yet they appeared to be in love or acting as if they were. This couldn't happen. KT was his fine she was married but he couldn't bear seeing her with Eklavya. He couldn't take it. He felt like this was the final nail in the coffin. He wouldn't believe it until KT confirmed it. She looked so happy. He wanted her to be happy but with him. He would try to be happy for them. He just wished Vaidehi would get over whatever problems she was facing. He was trying to keep Vaidehi and his family together. He overheard Vaidehi talking to some lady that much he knew about ruining everything someone had. He was contemplating on talking to KT alone but Eklavya was by her side like glue. As soon as he saw Dadi call him over to talk to Malika he was relieved.

L-U look well! Is Eklavya treating U right?

KT-We R getting there. Laksh I'm so happy. U R fine by this right.

L-How am I supposed to be fine with all this? It's like everything is happening so fast. U might be able to move on with your feelings so quick but I can't. KT U have to know this.

KT-Laksh U have to for the sake of this family. For the sake of preserving our friendship of whats left of it. U can't see me as KT but as your Bhabie. Its taken me over a month for Eklavya to get over his misunderstandings. U need to move on with Vaidehi. She's your wife.

L-KT for our friendship I will do what it takes but I can't switch my feelings off like that.

KT-U think I could but if U try it is possible. Laksh I think I understand what Love is really about. I hope one day U can understand that our love wasn't the end but just a friendship that runs deep. I might have loved U but Eklavya is the one that makes my world spin. He's all I think about. All I want. Laksh Vaidehi needs to be shown what love is only then can the both of U progress further do U understand?

L-U make it sound so simple. At least U R ok but what do I do of my broken heart.

KT-Mend it. Nothing is beyond repair yet unless we leave it too late. Besides what U do is none of my business but if it affects Eklavya and me I had to say something.

L-U R right. I guess I needed someone to point out the obvious.

KT-Laksh I won't be here for U like I used to be but whenever U need help I will try to be there.

E-is everything alright?

KT-Never better. I'll go see to Mummyji give her some gifts we got back

KT feels a lttle sad for Laksh being back hadn't taken away any of their problems but maybe they could fix this. Eklavya and Laksh needed to reunite as brothers again. She didn't know how she'd do it but it had to be done asnd sooner the better. She looked over at Vaidehi poor Ranbir looke like he wanted to get away from both Kanya and Vaidehi. Well what U sow is what U must reap is what they say. Vaidehi had that cold look that sent shivers. What was it about her that she couldn't shake off. KT went upstairs with a few gifts. Downstairs Eklavya and Laksh have an awkward moment as both brothers didn't know what to say apart from just acknowledge the other.

L-Bhai I'm sorry about everything.

E-Yeah.

L-I'm glad KT is happy please keep her that way.

E-I don't need U to tell me what I must do and shouldn't do.

L-I didn't mean it like that. Dadi was worried about U.

E-She's worried about the world. Never about herself. I'll see U later.

Vaidehi just smiled at what she had planned for this sorry family for messing with her. KT nad Eklavya will be her first victims as Ranbir would hurt if they were hurting.
