Chapter 1
It seemed only yesterday to Tulsi that she found a little orphan baby floating in the river. In that little baby she had seen the light of a new hope, a fresh start, and a new reason to live. She raised the little girl away from the hustle and bustle of the horrible place she knew as Mumbai, in a much smaller Haridwar.
This little girl was raised to think that Tulsi is her grandmother, or 'Baa', and being raised by Tulsi herself, she had all the right values and manners. This little girl was a shadow of Tulsi. This little girl is Krishna Tulsi.

This young man was born to possibly the most evil of Tulsi's sons. His biological sister, a mirror reflection of her father, while all he shared with his father was the same face.
Though he was raised by Damini, he was sincere, sweet, respectful, and a sort of son that any woman would be proud of. This young man is Eklavya.

This young girl was a sweet and simple girl, who grew up in Hardiwar with Krishna as her best friend and sister. She supported every decision of Krishna's and was considered by Tulsi to be an almost second daughter.
But this little girl had a flaw. She always got what she wanted, no questions asked. Though everyone labelled this as being a spoilt child, it would cause many problems in the future. This little girl is Vaidehi.

This young man was said to be the Mihir of Gen X. He was a slightly younger version of his brother Eklavya.
Though he was raised by the evil Trupti, she could never influence his thinking and his nature. This young man is Lakshya.

This young girl was raised in Mumbai by her step-family. She, being the child of her father's first marriage, was always ill treated and taken advantage of by her step-mother and step-brother and his wife. She served them dutifully and only asked for a little love in return.
A girl whose education was sacrificed for her brother's failed businesses. And a girl who worked day and night just to feed her family, as it was her duty. This young girl is Radha.

This young man was as bad as there could be. He was spoilt, rude, and rebellious. He always seemed to think that his own were working against him.
He got what he wanted, by hook, or by crook, and never cared if anything he did or said hurt anyone around him. This young man is Manthan.

"Why are you so scared KT?"
"Because Vaidehi, you know how baa is naa? She hates big cities. She'll never let me go"
"You never know yaar KT. There's no harm in asking just once. She might just say yes."
"That will be the day. But I guess there is no harm in asking"
The two girls were sitting by the water's edge at almost sunset and having a serious discussion about the pros and cons of moving to Mumbai. They got up, brushed themselves off, and headed over to a small house near the water.
"Baa!" Krishna called out at the top her lungs.
A muffled voice came from inside saying, "What is it Krishna? Learn to talk softly girl, before you make someone around you go deaf"
Vaidehi and Krishna rolled their eyes and grinned. Baa will always be baa.
Tulsi, apparently in the middle of some chore, came outside "Yes, tell me"
Krishna hesitated a little, not meeting Tulsi's eyes, looking for a way to start.
Vaidehi saw KT's hesitation, so chirped up "You know baa, ever since we've done our B.A. we've just been sitting at home.
"Of course Vaidehi, it's hard not to notice when the two of you are at home, making a ruckus"
Vaidehi cautiously continued, "Well we've been thinking that..."
"That...?"
Krishna finally plucked some courage, "Baa, can Vaidehi and I movie to Mumbai to work?"
Tulsi what shocked, and it was obvious that whatever she was expecting, this definitely wasn't it.

There were loud knocks on the door. Jaya went and looked through the shutters and saw the landlord, with anger evident in his face. Jaya's bahu, Meghna came out her room out of irritation and almost opened the door, before Jaya stopped her and pulled her aside.
A confused Meghna said, "Aai, what...?"
Jaya shut her mouth and said, "Shhh! Let Radha open the door and deal with him"
Radha, having worked a very late night, to get overtime money to meet this month's house expenses, came groggily out of her room and opened the door. Her face paled when she saw her evil landlord.
"Well well well my dear Radha. Another late night out? Spending time with your many boyfriends?"
"What do you want?"
"What I always want. My rent! You're one week late again!"
Radha joined her hands and pleaded, "Please give me some time. I'll get my salary tomorrow and then i'll pay your entire amount"
"Fine, but this is the third month in a row. You better be careful Radha, or," He eyed her from head to toe, "I might have to take drastic measures.
Radha, shaking with rage and fear, closed the door, and leant against it, crying.
If you're wondering who Radha and her family are, well they are character's from the show Parivaar on Zee. Radha, played by Deepti Devi is my favourite actress and character, and I guess she would be perfect for Manthan. I hope you guys like her
Will Tulsi let Vaidehi and KT go and work in mumbai?
Will Radha manage to pay her rent?
