Gautami’s pregnant - Article

Ekta Kapoor wanted Gautami Gadgil-Kapoor, who had replaced Smriti Irani as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, to return to the show.


But, destiny had other plans. Gautami cannot fulfill Ekta's wish as she is five months pregnant. The baby is due in January 2009. This will be Gautami and Ram Kapoor's second child. Gautami and Ram, who tied the knot in 2002, have a two-year-old daughter, Sia.
Ekta said, "I wanted Gautami back in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi but not as Tulsi. When I learnt that she is pregnant, I realised that it won't happen."

When contacted, Gautami sounded excited and confirmed the news about her pregnancy. "I am very happy. Interestingly, my pregnancy was confirmed on the last day of my shoot in Kyunki... when my track was getting wrapped up. Right things happen at the right time, I guess," said Gautami.

And what would they like now, a son or a daughter? "Son or daughter, both are equally welcome. Gone are the days when people yearned for a son," said Gautami.

"I love kids. If I had age on my side, I would have loved to have three children," added Gautami. She is quite active even though she is pregnant. Of late, she has often been travelling with her husband. "Next week, Ram is going to the US for some work and again, I am accompanying him," she said.

Talking about her re-entry in Kyunki..., Gautami says that she wouldn't be able to make a comment right now. "My track ended on a negative note and negative characters do tend to return in shows. But, as I am pregnant, I cannot thinking of working before next year," she concluded.
