Smriti to enter Bollywood with Mallik Ek

Actor turned producer Smriti Irani is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Kishori Shahane's production Mallik Ek. The film is based on the life of Sai Baba and how he solves the issues that his devotees face. The movie is directed by Kishori's husband Deepak Balraj Vij under his own production banner Om The Mantra Production Sai Ram.

Kishori says, "Jackie Shroff is playing the role of Sai Baba and Smriti Irani who is making her dbut in Bollywood with this film is essaying the role of Dwarika Mai and also the narrator of the story. She is the owner of Dwarika where Sai Baba spent 60 years of his life. The cast also includes some veteran actors like Vikram Gokhale, Govind Namdev, Divya Dutta, Rajeshwari Sachdeva and the main villainous character of Kulkarni will be essayed by Shakti Kapoor. "

The music of the movie is scored by Anoop Jalota and the songs are sung by Jagjit Singh, Ghulam Ali, Pankaj Udhas and the music-composer himself.

The shooting of the same is almost completed with just the 10% remaining. It is slated to release by the year end.
