Sorry if someone already made a topic about this before. I'm not a regular viewer or forum visitor.

What's the point in switching the birth order of the Maliks around? If I remember correctly, Evan's counterpart's father was the younger brother but here they're showing that his father is the older brother. Umm, why? Does this somehow add more family drama?

They didn't switch the birth order here. Even there the character Raunak/Rifat was older to Rishan/Resat. And it is the same here as well. Raunak/Rifat is the elder brother. Rifat-Resat's story is same as Raunak-Rishan's and vice-versa. They didn't change anything in that. I think you got things confused. :)

Nope. I never heard him call Resat, Abi. Resat/Rishan is a dominating younger brother. 😆

I just went and watched a bit of episode 3 where Resat is beating Selim up 😈

Rifat steps forward and yells 'Abi!'

Unless there's a really messed up family dynamic where Rifat is too scared to call his younger brother by name, Resat is older than him.

So Rifat is scared of Resat... 😆

Glad that got cleared up

A Turkish person told me that one generally refers to an older brother as Abi

Since Fatmagul also calls her brother Abi, I guess I got confused...

Anyway, I call my little brothers Bhaiya sometimes... just for fun

Still find it weird that Rifat calls Resat Abi but Resat calls Rifat by name...

It still looks like Resat is older than Rifat to me but I don't think we're going to agree on this
