Yeah, surprise. I never believed that I would post another thread regarding this show, and I never believed that I would watch another episode, either, but seeing the title that said Rahul Knows The Truth, I couldn't stop myself and I watched both yesterday and today's episode at once. Now I have something to say, well, you know me; blah blah blah, yada yada yada, boring boring boring. Heh. Read it or leave it, guys 😛

Episode 97 was good, actually, apart from the Rahul-Naina completing their marriage-ritual. First, I'd really like to compliment Abigail for her brilliant performance in the rape-scene. I was literally in tears, I could just feel Kakun's pain, fear and dread. The scene where she was lying on the floor, clenching her mangalsutra in her hand - it was breathtakingly heartbreaking. The expression on Abigail's face was awe-inspiring and incredibly painful to see. The blandness in her eyes was amazing. She did such a beautiful piece of work, that I had to mentally take a bow. That was absolutely and pure talent. My heart was racing with, no kidding when I say this, tremendous velocity as she was searching Aman's studies for the tape. I was really, so completely holding my breath with her, when Aman entered. I know that a lot of people were disgusted that Aman raped her, but I felt that the climax for it had been building for a long time, and it made sense that he reacted this way. Mridul did an insanely incredible work showing Aman's frustration, dangerous passion, and obsession all in one scene. He made me feel Aman's desperation and fury to the point where I really got sick and almost looked for a puke-bag.
Yes, I am hugely disappointed that Devi did not wonder about Kakun's whereabouts. Disappointed that her motherly nature, the mother-part of her did not feel that something was wrong. I will never completely forget just how deep and intense their mother-daughter relationship used to be, and how platonic it has become now. But since the K-team have made up for some mistakes in today's episode, I pray that they will take a look back and mend Devi and Kakun's relationship, too.
I knew that Rahul and Naina would be married. No surprises there. But still, I felt this huge disappointment inside me, because a part of me had hoped that the wedding would be stopped. The dupattas loosening during the saat phere was a clear sign, in my opinion, from God that they shouldn't be married. That they're not meant to be together, but I was disappointed that the pandit didn't stop the wedding, saying that since this was a huge bad omen, they should wait at least another week before getting married or something.
I was searching for Bebe and Sid during the wedding. How come they've just disappeared?
All in all, a fine episode considering how they've been lately.
Episode 98 was really good. Again, Abigail did such a wonderful work expressing Kakun's despair, though I feel that the K-team should have gone deeper into the impact a rape has on a woman, who's never slept with a man before. Having in mind that Kakun was a virgin, and her first time being a rape - well, although she was crying and all, no one seemed to notice the blandness in her eyes, the colors off of her face. And I'd especially anticipated that Rahul would notice that something was wrong. But he just smiled and lifted his new lady-love to their bedroom. And we all know what happened between them, alone in that room.
I loved, absolutely loved the scene, where Rahul found the letter from Kakun and followed her. I loved the scene where he followed the signs leading him to her. I loved the scene in the cabin, but I was missing a spark between them. The one that used to be there in their earlier scenes together. There was a strange off-ness about their chemistry. Not all the time. Just sometimes. Sometimes that little extra spark seemed to be lacking. I don't know why. It must have been, because Rahul is married now, too, and he's been so strangely ignorant of her lately, not even glancing at her lovingly, and then also because he said all those things to her; that she wasn't who he'd believed she was, that she wasn't his devi, etc. etc. That must have been the reason, I think. The K-team killed their chemistry and now suddenly they brought it on again, and I just didn't get it because of all the other things that has happened.
I hope that in the next episode, we'll see Rahul turning more toward Kakun, considering that he must feel horrible about what he's been doing to her. Pressuring her to sleep with Aman, etc. The end of the episode happened really fast, but nonetheless it made me so happy that he finally knew the truth. I loved how he yelled at Aman, how he glared at him. I just hope that everyone gets to see how Aman really is full show-on live. I'd love to see Rahul being protective of Kakun, if Aman turns to her in the next episode. Man, I'd really love that 😊
Anyhow, all in all, a good episode. Better than they've been recently. All that's keeping my happiness from being 100 percent complete is the thought about the upcoming leap and Aamir's departure
Okay, vented, you can change channel now 😛

My sister, who is a complete neutral sometimes-viewer of this show, said something which got my mind in working-gear. Like I've mentioned before, I feel that the Rahul-Naina marriage was another mistake. Rahul and Naina's marriage should not have been completed, but regardless - my point is something else:
The leap, which is supposed to happen in episode 103 - my sister thought that it is unnessesary. Actually, she thought that there are a thousand other things and twists that they could do instead of turning Kakun into a 44-year old mother, when she hardly seems like a 30-year old. Her point was that why not work with some of the loose ends of this show. For instance:
1. Aman, his imprisonment, possible escape, manipulation of Naina to turn her against Kakun
2. Rahul, feeling responsible for Naina, but wanting Kakun
3. Naina, jealous about Rahul and Kakun's unbreakable bond
4. Kakun, pregnant with Aman's child, the hardship of carrying a rape-child, the society talking about her being pregnant while her "husband's" in prison
5. Gayo, the hardship of her favorite son being a killer, silent accusations that it's Kakun's fault
There're so many things that they could do, and personally I feel that the show has become much more interesting now than lately, and the K-team shouldn't make another mistake and ruin that by doing this leap. I watched the show for what it was from episode 1-70, not for what it's certainly going to become following that leap. It's pointless. Why make "try" to make it interesting, when it's already interesting? Why do a leap, when people are literally begging them not to? Why lose loyal, long-time viewers in order to gain new ones?
I don't understand. Finally the story is picking up again - and they wanna change the entire concept by doing a leap. I wanted to see growth with Kakun, not a jump into the future.

Okay, about yesterday's episode, I made a quick list of things that I disliked:

1. When Kakun told Rahul the truth, all he did was pet her on the head - yes, he was probably in shock, I could see that, but still the scene would have been stronger if he had kneeled down right next to her, and then reached out to touch her face or something. I think that what annoyed me was that the whole pet-on-the-head isn't how you'd comfort the woman you loved, but you'd probably do something that symbolized a stronger relationship/bond. Kakun isn't a child that needed petting on the head, she's the love of his life, so I'd expected that he'd at least kneel down next to her and just stare at her or something.
2. Kakun and Rahul were trapped a whole night in a cabin in the middle of a forest - I hadn't anticipated that they'd get lost in the heat of the moment, but I'd expected that the K-team would show us some scenes with them inside the cabin, talking or sitting close together and just being after everything Kakun had told him. Again, in my opinion, this seriously affected their chemistry - the part that it was lacking, because the K-team doesn't allow them to have scenes together in which they are just being in the moment together. Regardless of who's married to who, that never stopped the K-team before. And it's not like they're doing something naughty if they're sitting close together and listening to the storm, while digesting the fact that Rahul's brother Aman killed Naina Bhasin.
3. Devi should have tried calling Kakun or something, since she was so worried about her - again I've missed the mother-daughter relationship that once was between them, but maybe, just maybe, the K-team will fix that in the upcoming episode.
I know these are all minor details, but I just feel that the K-team used to be more thorough with details in the earlier episodes of the show. The ones from when she came to Punjab and up till 70. Every detail was always really worked on and had an energy of its own. Every movement was intense and reasoned. I'm really missing that between Rahul and Kakun, especially. Because when they finally allow RaKun to gaze at each other full-on, then the chemistry's back, 100 percent back.
On the contrary I absolutely loved the dialogue from Rahul saying that they live together and they die together, and he'd like to know why he's dying 😃
Oh well.
