Precisely, shasha. Rahul has always gotten away with things. Even now, no one in the house knows that Kakun was right all along about Rahul and what he did to her in Kolkatta. Even now, everyone believes that Kakun is in the wrong. He never once stood up and admitted what he had done in front of everyone, and then tell them that he wanted to marry Kakun.
I know that the writers meant to drag the story-line, because otherwise Rahul could have avoided getting engaged to Naina in so many ways. He could have avoided losing Kakun. If he had just never listened to her sacrifice-speech and never done as she asked him to do. There's always a choice.
I also believe that he was used to loving Naina. It was like a habit. In his world, everything started with her, and everything ended with her. He never used his brain to think for himself, he always thought about her, and what she wanted, what mattered to her. He suppressed his inner voice in order to make her happy, maybe because he was dead scared of losing her - maybe because he was scared of being lonely. I don't know.
I love all those scenes with him and Kakun in which he teases her - like Anurag used to do. For instance, the scene in the cafeteria, when his meeting is cancelled and he sees her sitting at a table, all alone. He walks over and sits opposite her, and you can just see her irritation, which completely amuses him. I'll never grow tired of watching him smile amused every time Kakun does something, or makes an expression which just pulls at his lips. It's so sweet.
You know, shasha, there was a brief moment like this in episode 88. Kakun was serving breakfast at the dining table, and then she sat down, her eyes downcast, and Rahul was watching her, and he smiled a little, as if he was thinking of something secret about her or something. It was so cute. I kept wondering what he was thinking of, or if it was just because it's the little things she does which makes him smile. Such as pouring juice. Lol.
For me, that was a husband-wife moment. The husband watching his wife, smiling and she was just so completely oblivious to him. I convinced myself for that one moment that they were husband and wife, and Aman and Naina O., were out of the picture. Heh.

That makes me so tempted to watch the episodes but it is only a couple of days till the next 2 so i think next week ill watch all 4 also depending on how you guys view it!
I totall agree with you abt Rahul-he has got away with so much so y shouldnt Aman get away with murder and a forced marriage?
I think it is so sad that whtever emotions between Rahul and KK seems to have disappeared-the whole show was abt THEM!
It is disappointing whn watching the early episodes and seeing the interaction between them how great their chemistry was and now its just not there, except whn he came after in the bathroom and cut himself and she took care of him, for a moment just a moment the old magic was there.
Ah those good old days, wish they'd come back🥺

Aw, shasha, hun. I know exactly how you feel. I miss their chemistry, too. It was sparkling duing the engagement period. I really loved Rahul as "bad". I liked the concept when Rahul was the "bad boy" of the Punj family, Aman was the good boy and Sid as the divided one. The one without a certain place.
They totally ruined Rahul's character now, in my opinion. Now he's too good - not in the conventional sense, though - and all I hear when he talks is a lot of rubbish. RaKun's chemistry has only been there in brief glimpses lately, and that too has been my own eyes playing tricks on me, I think. Lol.
It is so true. The show used to be about Rahul and Kakun. I remember it being torture for me, when Rahul and Kakun had no scenes together during those episodes in which he was in prison, but also back when he married Kakun and then went to another town, while she stayed in Kolkatta. But, shasha, I know that it is a real mess right now between our couple, with no chemistry, no sweet and romantic scenes, and also no Anurag popping up once in a while around Kakun - but think about it this way that at least we still have the earlier episodes to turn back to. We can rewatch their sparkling moments and forget that none of this other frustrating stuff ever happened.
Let us keep up our good RaKun spirit. No matter where they are headed now, no matter what happens as from now on, we will keep up our couple's magic by turning to their past. Are you guys gamed?
What are your absolute top three favorite RaKun moments/scenes?

We can but try to keep a hold on to magic that was (could still be?) RaKun.
top 3 moments:
1- at the rahul and aman sangeet and he blackmails her in wearing the pazab and then makes sure they eat from the same ladoo. it shows rahul desperate love for kk and how much he loves her and how much her engagement to aman is tormenting him.
2- whn looking after tanu, the head injury, kk tells rahul that as much they may want to be together kismet has other plans. he sits in 1 chair and her in the opposite-he wants 1 moment with kk to live the rest of his life on and the way they just look and hold each other, ah. so tender and such a contrast to the angry and tormented rahul, but one who is realising that maybe wht he desperately wants, wht he once discarded may not be his again. the opposite wht we had been seeing.
3- whn kk comes to apologise to rahul for thinking he kidnapped aman and he says how weak he felt that he couldnt defend her. he was so open and u could feel his pain that she had to listen to pretti and couldnt do anything and u can kk wanting to comfort him especially whn he broke the glass.
there r just too many moments and i suppose my favorites ones are whn rahul take the lead but they r know few and far between!
im not sure it is a comfort the old episodes they bring back wht shouldnt of been. i wish if something is to go on with rahul and nainab they just a move on then we forget that RaKun ever existed!

I know how you feel. It really hurts to think that Rahul may develop feelings for Naina Oberoi, because it will make his feelings for Kakun seem false and depthless. However, I agree with you that the best scenes are when Rahul takes the lead.
1. When Rahul arrives at Naina Basin's house with the intention of meeting Kakun, because he knows that she's there. The scene in her room was incredible, because it was a mix of everything. It was both sweet and intense, it was innocent and yet not, it was romantic and yet forceful, it was a collision of emotions that had been building up from the moment Rahul realized his love for her.
2. When Rahul wants to put the payal on Kakun, and then share the sweets.
3. When Kakun goes to Rahul's room before the engagement and apologizes for distrusting him, and he tells her how he feels. Because for a moment, he let's down his barriers and shows how vulnerable he is, and in that same scene, he also shows how desperate he is. That the whole thing is killing him. He shows that he needs her, and wants to protect her.
But like you said, shasha. There are so many scenes to love between them. I think that every single scene between them, before the death of Naina, is my favorite. These three are just the ones I've rewatched most. Heh.

There was not much Rahul-Kakun in today's episode. However, Aamir revealed a little more of the sparkle, which used shine between them whenever they looked at each other. I noted that whenever he glanced at Kakun in the 89th episode, for a split-second his eyes shimmered and he was lost - even though it was as mentioned before only for a split-second. It was sweet, and missed.
I found the scene in his room very daring. I mean, when did he think and she think it okay for her to stand in his bedroom alone with him and talk? Just an episode or two ago, he did not want her company, and kept walking away from her whenever they were alone. Now suddenly they were standing in his bedroom, alone and talking. The thing with Ekta is that she can drag something for a really long time, and then during one episode, she can take a monster-step forward, and we're just dangling all puzzled.
I do want more moments between Rahul and Kakun. Honest. But I think that as long as things are so bad between the two of them, maybe Kakun should focus on putting Aman in prison, and giving her mother the deserved peace of mind. I would like to see Rahul's emotions on his face, when she no longer pays that attention to him, the one he's used to. He keeps saying that he wants her to move on, but I wager that the moment she forgets him, he's going to hurt like hell and seek her out himself, one way or another.
I am still missing their chemistry, but I think that the reason is the lack of intense scenes, especially. Yes, chemistry comes even when two people glance at each other, so there's no excuse for RaKun's lacking. But I hope that at least Ekta will continue to show how Rahul is touched, is amused by the little things that Kakun does. For instance the breakfast scene in which she was pouring juice and he watched her with a secret smile - that was so sweet.

Thats it strike over-good or bad i just have too watch. Cant take it anymore! There is just way too much going on for me miss even a boring episode!
I think i know how RaKun feel; it is better to have those small brief intense moments to carry u on during those awful dark times then not to have them at all!

Precisely. It has always been the small, intense moments that have counted more than the bigger ones, in my opinion. The glances, the hand-grabbing, watching the moon together, etc.
However, I also hope that the creatives are going to do justice to Rahul and Kakun, and their relationship. I don't want to see Kakun "chasing" Rahul anymore, now she has to focus on prisoning Aman, and Rahul is the one who has to do all the chasing. They are fighting two different wars now. Kakun's war is with Aman, and Rahul's war is with Kakun, because he believes that she's purposely not moving on because of him. That misunderstanding should cost him at least her attention. Heh.

I am missing the spark between them. I started watching the show, because of that chemistry, that spark, and the sweet way their relationship was developing. For me, it has always been unique and completely different from all other couples' lovestories on-screen. Now that I don't feel the spark between them, it's making me feel a little sad. What I don't understand is all the mistakes Ekta has made recently. Let's just review;
Her first mistake, in my opinion, was having Kakun marry Aman. They should've shown her running to get to the ceremony in time, or not completing the ceremony, but they shouldn't have shown them married. It might be another cultural boundary breaking for Ekta, or it may not. I can't say, because Ekta likes trying out how far she can go with something like marriage and divorces. But I just don't think that this was a wise move. The question is for many, I think, whether Rahul and Kakun are really divorced. How does the masses look at it? Are they divorced in their eyes just because the couple signed a piece of paper? What happened to religious and mental bonds? Because if you talk about that, then one can debate whether they are really divorced, or whether Kakun's married another man, while she's still religiously and heart-ly married to Rahul.
  • i totally agree with you her....she shudnt hav been shown married to Aman....insted it shud hav been sumthin lyk de marraige is stoped in between by naina....all soaked in blood....or sumthing lyk de bad news is broken during de ceremony....n hence it doesnt take place...sumthin lyk dat.
  • i fear dat lyk all other serials....ekta wants multiple marraiges, divorces, blah-blah....
  • i also fear dey showin a rape sequence which wud be terribly disgusting🤢...i hope dat doesnt happen here....ekta luvs 2 push de tolerence level of her lead heroines 2 de edge!!!!!
To her second mistake, still in my opinion; killing Naina. I think that she shouldn't have killed her. If Naina was needed out of the way for a while, she could've gone into a coma or something. Either way, I think that it happened a little too fast - as if the whole Aman being Naina's killer was something Ekta realized she wanted to do to prolong the show. It was too sudden and didn't make any sense. If you look at earlier episodes and listen to Aman's dialogues, then there were no signs of a psychic break-down, or even the hint of a defect in his brain. He was honest and good. If this was an idea Ekta had for a longer time, then she would've given Aman some manipulative dialogues, which we wouldn't notice until after we'd seen his true face - then we'd be able to go back and notice these things.
  • exactly...here agen i felt dat it sends a rong msg 2 one n all who watch de show....its lyk as long as she was rong n selfish she was hale n hearty...de moment she felt lyk doin sumthin gud n change herself completely for others happiness....she is murdered!!!!!!!!!
  • n if aman was a psychic...de traits wud hav been visible from de very beginning....if not 2 oders (which i understand coz he is very smart), but atleast de audience...his thoughts were actually shown 2 b so unselfish n caring n honest!!!
  • also when kakul decided 2 leave de place 4ever...he was already in luv wid her...but he did nothin 2 stop her...whereas when swati tried 2 do de same...he killed her!!!!...n its not dat he luvs kakul more dan swati...coz if dats de case he wud hav killed her mercilessly since he is a psychic!!!!!
Now to her third mistake; Rahul accepting being Naina's killer. This did not make sense to me no matter how anyone explained it. Ekta's mistake here was that she turned Rahul into an even weaker character. Now was the time for Rahul to show that he was strong. If the plan was that Rahul should be in prison for a while, then Ekta could've turned things more sensibly. For instance; Rahul didn't accept the accusations, in fact he'd be anxious to get out and find the real killer. But because of solid proof against him, he was put behind bars. This would show him as a strong character. He'd be struggling against all odds to get out, to find the real killer - not only to be free, but to punish the man, who cold-bloodedly murdered his childhood friend/love.
  • i understand naina wasnt his luv (wat he felt for her was an infactuation)...but she certainly was his friend...his childhood friend!!!!...n is dat hw he values her????he shud hav done all he cud 2 find her killer....2 do justice 2 her!!!!!!1
  • a friendship is not supposed 2 b shown as such a weak relationship!!!!...dis is disgusting!!!!!!!
The fourth mistake, which Ekta made; Rahul pushing Kakun to be with Aman. Now, in Rahul's head, Kakun can't do anything wrong. In his eyes, she's perfect. Then he should be trying to find out why she's distancing herself from Aman all of a sudden. Rahul knows that she and Aman has always been close, and now she's avoiding him? The point is that regardless of how she is with Aman - it's weird to show that Rahul's pushing her to be with Aman. Because Rahul is in love with her. And you'd never want to see your love belonging to someone else than you. Especially when Rahul knows that the only reason Kakun married Aman is because Naina was her sister and wanted Rahul. So he knows that she doesn't love Aman and can't be with him in that way. Then why's he pushing her? No matter how much you want to see your love happy, humans are selfish. And a part of him should want Kakun back, even though he doesn't do anything about it, there should be hints that it still exists in him.
  • i agree dat rahul luvs her n wants her 2 b happy...but pushin her 2 g8 close 2 aman is not aproovable...he shud giv her tym n space...n not just expect her 2 start luvin aman out of de blue!!!
Adding too; what gives him the right to interfere in his Bhabi and his brother's personal life? It's so weird. He's telling Kakun to be with Aman, and practically throwing honeymoon tickets at her, but isn't he just a little out of line? It's not his place to know what's going on between Aman and Kakun after dark. It's not his place to make them be together. No matter how much he wants her to move on. I found his scene with Kakun very offending for Kakun (even though she didn't). The way he was telling her to be happy with Aman, that she has to be happy with him. That she has to move on. He actually said; "I want to see you and Aman happy." Great. So that's what he wants. But what about what Kakun wants? Ever thought about that.
I greatly missed Kakun's strength in such scenes, because no matter how much she loves Rahul and wants to protect him - she's not the kind of woman to take crap like that from anyone. Yes, she's a victim, she's self-sacrificing etc., but her strength has always been her words, in my opinion, and she better soon stand up and ask Rahul to mind his own business. If she wants to protect him, she can do that by making Aman believe that she's distanced herself from Rahul permanently. That would a plan, I think.
To Ekta's fifth mistake; Kakun's once-intelligent character. Yes, N.O., didn't get that she was the person, who needed help. Fine. But then Kakun should've been shown stronger. There are more people outside the house, whom she can contact. All she need is an excuse to leave the house. I had imagined that this would be the time for Kakun and Devi to come together and fight the injustice against the person they both loved. This would be the time for mother and daughter to stand together, and we'd get to see more of Devi (who is an actress I absolutely adore) and Kakun. They had incredible chemistry, and their relationship was so beautiful. Devi has been missing for two episodes, that's fine. But I personally hope now, that Ekta will make Kakun go to Devi and tell her everything. And that mother and daughter will join hands. I don't think Aman will be expecting this, because Devi has been distant from Kakun lately.
  • exactly my thoughts...i always wanted kakul 2 reveal de truth 2 devi...devi wud surely hav cum up wid sum plan 2 trap aman!!!!
  • also, kakul had solid prood against rahul...naina's mobile phone...de mobile bill...all dat was proof enuf...also she keeps havin heated conversations wid aman...where de murder of naina is almost always mentioned...cant she just purposely start off such an argument n record de entire stuff as an audio/video watever...de killers confession is a much bigger proof dan another's threat made in anger!!!!
At last, I'd like to say one more thing; I think that Kakun should be shown a whole lot smarter than before. if she wants to put Aman behind bars, she needs to make a plan. An idea would be that she pretends to be forgiving him, that she pretends to be a good wife, that she pretends to be distancing herself from Rahul, and pretends to support Aman. He's mentally ill, that's for sure. He's intelligent. But even he has a weakness. And that's his love for Kakun. If she pretends to love him back, he'll start slacking on senses, and stop watching her every step. At first he might be suspicious, but if she keeps it up, then I believe she has a shot. And I hope that if she makes such a plan, that she makes it with Devi. I'd like to see them joined after such a long while.
