Part 17:
5:30 AM sharp in the morning the alarm loudly rang waking up karan from his dream.

Karan quickly sat on the bed n after 2 minutes switched of the alarm, which he later realized was ringing loudly.

K moved his hand over his face, rubbing his eyes n soon fully awake just realized what he had just been dreaming: what the hell!!!
What was I dreaming? He put his hand over his forehead then his neck, no I m definitely ill, ya that's it I m ill it must be something that stupid chef made last night that I must have ate or drank. Me kissing shweta!!!!! Not happening, not at all, gosh I better see a doc today ASAP. Ya that's what I'll do go see a doc.
Just as he was murmuring this he looked up n saw someone standing there. It was Suhasini, shweta' mom
K: aunty aap?

SA: karan beta are u ok?

K: ya aunty I m fine

S: are u sure I just heard u talking to yourself

K: oh Aunty I m fine its ok really think just need a little rest m a bit tired

SA: ok I'll believe u but if u o have any trouble u no u r free 2 speak, after all u r like my son 2.

K: of course aunty, I know yeh bhi koi kehne ki baat hai.

SA: ha main isliye aai thi ki breakfast is ready, don't leave without having it, I m going to the hospital. Ok see u later beta.

K: ok aunty thanks n bye see ya.

Suhasini was well educated destiny had to make her go thru all that she ever did despite all the dreams her father had for her n loose all that she had thou she could have had so much just because somehow it was in her karma.

One mistake was all that was required to ruin everything, n that 1 mistake she did by choosing a wrong man, by choosing Randhir.

Mandira when earlier in a sane state of mind had become close friends with Suhasini n to help her out n also as she needed some reliable help had appointed her as a CEO in her hospital.

However as time passed by n karan grew she realized what had happened to her will now be the ill fate of her son, mandira lost her sanity slowly.

Her realization that she had fallen with a married man was enough to shatter her heart, however three months later to mihir's recovery she was shocked to discover her pregnancy.

In a weak moment mandira had surrendered to mihir who at the time was suffering from amnesia n was being taken care of by mandira.

Later as mihir recovered he had forgotten all including the one intimate moment he had shared with mandira that resulted in karan's birth.

She couldn't bear the pain of loosing her love n now as if it wasn't enough fates had thrown an another bolt of lightning at her.

She was carrying the child of the man she loved however instead of enjoying happiness at the verge of motherhood, she was devastated.

This child now in her was just not a 4 month old foetus, it was in a way the only essence n memory of her one true love that she could not kill, as thou a doctor she was a woman, a mother as well, however this child would also mean the shame n humiliation her family will have to go thru her mom, who had been thru so much n her brother whom she literally worshipped in a way.


She couldn't hurt the people who love her most in this world nor could she abort her kid, as not only it was too late, but also as she just couldn't have the heart to do so.

She was unable to make her mind as to how to let her family know the truth n also mihir n Tulsi (Smriti Irani). Mandira had discovered her pregnancy while on a medical conference she had attended just to take get mind off mihir' thoughts.

The medical conference mandira had attended was in Canada. The day the conference was over mandira decided she will leave for India.

She booked her tickets for India on the next flight itself. However she had no idea what game destiny was about to play that was instated for her.

Mandira boarded her flight thinking she will reach home, however the step she took to reach home was the one step that forever made her far from it. Mandira' mom n brother Anupam had been informed by her that she will reach India by this flight at the stated time.


But to their shock Anupam reached the airport not to receive his sister but collect whatever was left behind after her death.

Highlights of the next Part: mihir discovers mandira' pregnancy & karan's birth.

cool!!!its gr88 tht u are giving imp 2 da other characters otherwise it wud hav bcum monotonous.these are da signs of a gud writer,who noes when 2 divert da story & retain da interest of da readers.luved it aahana bt iz this part inspired frmkyunki???i'm not sure becz i neva watched it tht time.simply awesome!!!

thk god or else i thought this move will be bad but i wanted to but a nice depth to KS & their releationship so this will be a build up

well ya u see i have got inspired from kyunki (hence the name karan 2 )

i liked hiten so much wen he entered the show

but 2 me it was just so incomplete the way he was just shown

also karan in kyunki was said to have a tough life before he makes it 2 SN

so i thought it will be great if it is shown wat karan went thru

but dont worry the backdrop stops thr n tht's where shweta comes in as K's childhood best friend n sweetheart

i wont have all the unnecessary stuff tht's overflowing in kyunki

Part 18:

Mandira was presumed dead by everyone including her family n the Virani family.

The flight that was scheduled to land at Mumbai (Bombay), India at 11:00 pm crashed due to some technical difficulties caused by untimely weather trouble which caused the engines to spark & burn mid air.

Owing to this any of the passengers did not survive.
The flight was alright till it reached Sydney where it was slated for a 3 hour halt before leaving for India.

Mandira had met her friend Dr Scott Walters at this conference after her college days in New York.

Scott was going to get of at Sydney as he belonged there.

So when he learnt that mandira too was traveling by this flight, he made a request to have his seat next to hers so that he may have company.

When the flight reached Sydney he invited mandira to his home for coffee, at first mandira was hesitant.

M: no Scott please I m fine I'll just be at the airport here n relax till the flight takes off again.

SW: oh Mandy come on (her friends in NY who were non Indians called her that as her name was a bit difficult for them to speak)
Now don't tell me that u r gonna come all the way to Sydney next time so that u may have coffee with me.

It's the first time that u r here in Sydney please I request u to come to my place just once.

Anyways what will u do here sitting at the airport like crazy u just have to be here only half an hour before, now I promise u that u wont miss ur flight we'll be here in an hour.

N now if u still deny I wont come to ur place whenever I come to India even if u beg me to.

M: ok Scott I give up but promise me I won't miss my flight.

SW: I promise.

He took mandira to his place & the two chatted as the time passed by.

True to his word Scott made sure mandira was on airport at time to take her flight.

So while mandira was once again completing the formalities once again to check-in he was registering the complaint of a baggage he realized that he had forgotten on his flight.

After the check-in formalities were completed mandira collected her boarding pass n her luggage was transferred to.

She met Scott once again to thank him for his lovely hospitality n also to get her to airport on time besides bidding him a farewell.

As she was about to leave for her flight as the passengers were requested to get onto their flights suddenly mandira experienced immense pain in her stomach.

At first she just ignored it n thought it is just a minor cramp but as she moved a bit more her pain grew.

Before she realized it she was down on the floor with it.

Scott being a doctor to like mandira immediately rushed to her to help her.

Mandira was in terrible pain in seconds. Scott with the help of some airport security people rushed her to the nearest hospital, while the flight took off.

Anupam was in great pain at the loss of his only sister who he had treated like a daughter, unaware she was alive.

Mihir who was now a friend of Anupam' comforted him during this tough time.

In his absence mihir' younger brother Hemant had handled the business n launched a company in collaboration with Anupam.

On mihir' return not only he took over the business again but also found a great business partner n a friend in Anupam.

He was all the more indebted to him as he was Mandira' brother the very person whom he considered his saviour.

So in this tough period mihir made sure he gave Anupam no hassles as he knew he was so mentally disturbed at this unfortunate turn of events in his life.

Five Months passed by as all this happened, a business meeting with a foreign company took mihir to Sydney where to his surprise was a person he thought was dead.


While travelling in a cab to his hotel mihir saw a heavily pregnant woman, (yes mandira) who was walking by a maternity shopping store.

He halted the cab n called her out, at first when mandira heard him she thought of it as an illusion but later again on hearing mihir call her out again she was shocked.

She turned around n saw mihir running towards her n all the things in her hands fell as she stood there shivering going weak in her knees.

Mihir reached her n in a surprising tone said mandira u r alive.

N as he saw her he noticed her bump n before he knew it mandira was in labour pain.

Lifting her in this pain with the help of some people passing by he put her in his cab.

He reached her quickly to a hospital where mandira gave birth to a healthy baby boy (Karan).

Highlights of the next Part: mihir discovers karan is his own son.
