Wadhwa House
Kumkum explains to Veena Nivi's condition as she has brought Nivi at Wadhwa house, she tells Veena tht Nivi needs someone to take care of her and she has nobody else in this world, she asks Veena to shower her motherly love on Nivi also. Veena tells Kumkum that she is her mother, before Nivi and she has to think of her before Nivi. But Kumkum makes her agree on letting Nivi stay here.
In the morning, Kumkum comes to her room and finds Sumit sleeping. She puts the bedsheet on him, places the tray on the bedside, and turns around to leave when Sumit suddenly grabs her hand. Sumit was not sleeping, but was pretending to. He makes Kumkum sit beside him. Kumkum tells him that she has to go to the kitchen, Sumit tells her not to behave as a typical wife. Kumkum tells him to wake up, and Sumit tells her to wish him good morning properly first, and points towards his cheek. Kumkum bends and kises him on his cheek, and then gets up to go to the kitchen. Sumit again grabs her hand, Kumkum asks what does she want, Sumit says her time. He says that in the middle of her family and her duties, she has forgotten him. Kumkum becomes a little sad and tells him that she expects atleast him to understand, as the other family members are not understanding. She has got so much responsibilities to fulfill. Sumit tells her he was only joking, and says that as they have handles all the ups and downs in their life, they will pass this face too, if they are together as always. Kumkum smiles and gets up to go, and Sumit again falls on the bed to sleep, but Kumkum removes his bedsheet completely and tells him to wake up and goes from there laughing.
In the guest room, Nivi wakes up. Kumkum comes in her room with a glass of juice. Nivi is shocked to see Kumkum in her room and asks what is she doing there. Kumkum tells her that Nivi is in her house now. Nivi looks around and starts to go outside. Kumkum holds her hand, Nivi tells her to leave her hand. Kumkum doesn't, so Nivi makes her hand free itself from Kumkum's grip and the glass falls down and breaks. Nivi goes out in anger, and Kumkum follows her, calling her. Nivi comes out of the house and starts running, Kumkum still follows her. Just then Sumit arrives in his car, and Nivi collides with his car. He comes out and asks what's happening. Kumkum tells him that Nivi is leaving their house. Sumit tells Kumkum to let Nivi do whatever she wants, and she can also go with her, but he won't be able to come as he has to do an important work. He has to fulfill the last ritual of Mittal's death and has to immerse his ashes in water. Nivi is shocked. Sumit and Kumkum go inside and again come out, while Nivi is still standing there, remembering her father. Sumit is holding a pot - 'kalash' in his hand. Sumit tells her that it contains her father's ashes. it's been 2 days since he died. Nivi asks who fulfilled all the customs, Sumit says it was him, as he and Kumkum realised that Nivi has nobody else apart from both of them.
Along the river bank
All three of them go to the river bank to perform this ritual. They pray while a priest chants 'mantras'. Finally the priest asks them to immerse the ashes, Nivi cries and says she can't do it, her father had promised to always remain with her. Kumkum tells her that if she doesn't, Mittal's soul will not rest in peace. Sumit tells her that being his only child, it is not only her duty, but her right also. Nivi picks up the 'kalash' and all 3 of them together immerse the ashes into the water, and then the 'kalash' also. They sit there and pray. Sumit tells Nivi that this is not the end of life, but the beginning of a new journey. He says that this is the rule of life, whoever is born, has to leave one day. Kumkum tells Nivi not to cry as this will trouble her father's soul.
Wadhwa House
In her room, Kumkum is looking at a medical prescription, and simultaneously at some medicines. Veena comes in and asks Kumkum if she can take some of her time. Kumkum asks her as to why is she talking like that. Veena tells her that Kumkum is so busy with her friend these days, that she has forgotten her own kids. She tells Kumkum that when she was with Nivi in the hospital, Vikram had come, and he and Aashka have both left and have gone to their own house. She tells Kumkum that Aashka was tensed while going. Kumkum remembers Aashka's call in the hospital and tells Veena Aashka had called her, but she was so busy in the hospital that she couldnot talk to her. Veena tells her to pay more attention to her kids and family, than outsiders.
Vikram's House
Doorbell rings. There is a courier for Aashka. She asks from where has this courier come. The courier man says that the packet got torn while shifting, so they dont know who has sent this. Aashka opens the packet and finds all sorts of baby games and stuff toys in it, and wonders if Abhi has sent all this. Just then Vikram comes and asks her who has sent all this, Aashka says she doesn't know, there was no name on it. Vikram tells her that she need not worry, he only sent all thses things from london, but he didn't know that he will be back before these toys reach her. Aashka asks Vikram the cause of her rudeness, and why is he behaving with her like that. Vikram tells her this question ought to be asked from her, as she lied to him the previous day, about the friend she was visiting and the place she was meeting him in. He gets angry and tells her that he won't ask anything from her as he doesn't have any right to do so, because everything is a lie, even their marriage. A flower vase breaks at the house entrance, and they both turn around to find Kumkum standing there.
Precap : Sumit sees a lady in his room standing in front of the mirror. Without seeing her face, he hugs ger from behind and talks romantically with her. Then he turns her around only to find that it's Nivi and not Kumkum....
