u must have read it but i just got so i thought i will share it with u this

Hussain: Star-struck

Last year he was voted the Best Dewar at the Star Pariwar awards and this year he was voted
the Best Pati at the same awards.

Though the ladies to whom he is a dewar and a pati are different, the fact is Hussain Kuwajerwala is fast
ascending the ladder of success.

"These couple of years have been amazing and I am indebted to Star TV for giving me a platform to showcase my talent,"
gushes Hussain who made his debut with Aashirwad..

Indeed with such warm sentiments for Star Plus it is not surprising that Hussain features in Kumkum, Krishna Arjun
and Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai all aired on the same channel.

Is the handsome dude planning to switch channels for his big leap forward? No, he says.

"I am looking forward to doing a romantic role. I hope someone offers me that."

LIVE CHAT with TV actor, Hussain Kuwajerwala at 14.00 hrs on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 in Mumbai

Hussain Kuwjerwala
TV actor

"I'd love to be like my TV character 'Sumit' but he is too good to be true and seems larger than life;
I am human and do make mistakes."

Vibu > Would you agree doing steamy scenes on-screen?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > As long as they do not look vulgar, and if the situation really requires it (I'll do it).
But, I have my own limits.

Huju_lovers > Hi Hussain, we are Munir and Anum from Pakistan, we love you very much. When will you come to Pakistan?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > There have been certain series which have been shot in Pakistan and I am also taking on a
show which is going to be shot in Pakistan. See you soon.

Monica > Hi Hussain, I am a great fan of yours. Can you tell me that how did you get your first chance in the television
industry? Which was your debut serial? When is your birthday and what are your favorites with regard to colour,
dish (food), movie, song, serial, costar?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Well, I went to all the possible ad agencies and production houses and got a call from an
agency regarding a press ad. With no godfather (in this industry to back me) I have made it here. Aashirwad
was my debut serial. My birthday is 12 October 1977. Favourite color is blue. And among food dishes, chicken in any
form is what I relish. Favourite movie is Life Is Beautiful . As for TV serials, the only serials that I have really
followed are M ahabharat and Nukkad . As for favourite co-star, I get along with everybody.

Anas ahmed > Hi Hussain, what's your relationship with Juhi? We hear that you will marry her.
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Well that's a big time rumour and we both laugh over it, as there is no truth in this.

Monica > Which place do you actually belong to? Have you ever been to Hyderabad?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > I am from Bombay (Mumbai). And I have not been to Hyderabad.

Ram > What sort of girl do you like Hussain? Say something more than 'simple.' Describe the girl of your dreams.
Have you found her? Is the search still on?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Have I found her............ hmmmmm? The girl I want should be simple, not very complicated
but interesting. We should be compatible and she should be my best friend.

Monica > How do you identify yourself with 'Sumit'? Is Hussain like Sumit? How are you now recognised by the public -
as 'Sumit' or as Hussain?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Well, people do know me as Hussain as well as 'Sumit' because of my anchor based shows.
I would love to be like 'Sumit' but he is too good to be true. He is larger than life, but I am human and do make mistakes.

Springchicken554 > Hi Hussain, would you ever consider coming abroad, and do you know any other languages besides Hindi?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Hindi, English, Gujarati are the languages I know. Where do you want me to be? I have been abroad.

Anas ahmed > So what's your plans of marriage?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > It's a wonderful bond and would want to get into one. I am not a loner and would need a partner
to look up to.

Reevaa > Hussain, you are the best. I would like to meet you. And I would like to know why aren't you trying for movies.
You have the caliber, looks and I think you are going to make it big in Bollywood.
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Well, I hope whatever you say does come true and thank you for the compliment. It's just that
one is waiting for the right break. I would not want to do anything that would disappoint you.

Sonika > What would you have been, if not an actor?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > First of all thank god I am an actor because very few people in life get to do what they actually
want to. And if I had not been an actor, I would have finished my MBA and work in one of the companies abroad,
and would not have great fans like you.

Shaira2 > Do you intend taking later a part behind the camera like dialogue writing, directing or producing?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > Well, I have always lived life the way it has come to me and the day I feel there's
a need for it, I would not hold back myself.

David_beckham > Apart from acting, what thrills you most?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > I love watching films.

Madiha > HI Hussain, this is Madiha from Karachi and I want to ask you that why are you so handsome
and dashing and do you like Kumkum? If you like her than plzzzzzzzzzzzz marry her.
Hussain Kuwajerwala > I am laughing at what you are saying. Thank you so much for the compliment but she is only
a good friend. Well, I can't fulfill your wish in real life but in the serial, it has been fulfilled.

Aditi > What do you like more - acting in soaps or anchoring shows?
Hussain Kuwajerwala > I think both are challenging in their own ways and challenges keep you going.

Sign Off Message > Life is short and wonderful. Live and let live and enjoy and cherish all the beautiful moments.

------------------------------------------------------------ ------------
What is more challenging, acting or anchoring? —Bhoomi
Dear Bhoomi, both are equally challenging. But anchoring for Khullja Sim Sim is definitely
more physically demanding than acting in Kumkum. As an anchor, I have to be immensely
spontaneous; there are very few retakes, and nothing is planned. As an actor, I know
my lines well in advance.

Would to do a sex comedy like Masti? Have you got Bollywood offers? — Rajesh
Dear Rajesh, I am open to doing anything as long as it doesn't look cheap. It has
to appeal to my aesthetics. As an actor, I want to grow and doing films is definitely
on my mind. But I don't want to jump into it blindly, and am waiting for the right offer.

You have always played positive roles. Why not anything negative? —Nabil Virani
Dear Nabil, I haven't been approached with any, and am happy playing the role
that I am currently doing. There are many shades to my character and equally
challenging to do. Maybe people like me in positive roles, which is why I am being
offered only those.

How different is Sumeet from Hussian? — Swapna
Dear Swapna, Sumeet is a perfectionist, while Hussain is human.
I think Hussain is more real and bound to make mistakes,
but Sumeet is too good to falter.

Why are you doing shows only for Star Plus? — Farhad
Dear Farhad, if I get good offers from other channels, I will consider them.
As of now I am more than happy to be on Star Plus. I think with Khullja Sim Sim
they have really given me a huge platform.

Is there any off-screen chemistry between you and Juhi Parmar? — Sangeeta
Dear Sangeeta, we have chemistry as friends and nothing more. She is a very good
person to work with, beyond that we have no link-up whatsoever.

Were you skeptical about doing Khullja after Aman Verma hosted the show for a long time? — Rahul Seth
Dear Rahul, I went for it with an open mind. Comparisons are inevitable, but
I think I have made my mark on the show now. I personally used to watch
the show when Aman was hosting it, and I think he did a great job on it.

What's your reaction to the Aman Verma expose? — Sandhya
Dear Sandhya, I think nobody has the right to invade anyone's private life.
You can criticise the professional aspect of someone's life, but his private life
is his own. What he does should be his concern and not the world's. I think it is a very
wrong trend that has started with this episode.

Would you ever come to Pakistan to do any shows? — Ria
Dear Ria, it's too early to say yes, but there could be a bleak possibility
that I may be doing something in Pakistan. I have heard that
Kumkum is hugely popular there.

My Most Embarrassing Moment on the Sets
Hussain (Actor)
I would call it both embarrassing and a happy moment. During one of
the episodes of Khullja Sim Sim, one Sardarji was selected to play.
When he came to know he had been chosen, he went beserk and started
dancing, kissing - he went totally wild.

Every Girl's Fantasy, Still Single...
Girrrrlz Go Get Him!!! Get Beachy!!

Tch Tch...! His smile sets hearts go boompatty-boompatty-boom...makes
the girls go weak-kneed!!!
Why then is the Star Ka Jamai, Ideal Beta, Ideal-Husband-Material
still single?
Ok, so marriage will happen for this very eligible bachelor. But what
kind of woman will Hussain love to go out with? How can she win him?
GR8! gets you Hussain's seduction secrets...

Why are you still single?

(Laughs) Everybody is single at one point of time and everybody gets
married at one point of time. It's the time for me to be single right
now, but I do plan to get married. I'm not a loner. I love to be with
my family and I'm a completely family man. Some people need their
space so they move out. But not me, I would never want to stay
seperate from my family. Marriage will happen!

Do you believe in love at first sight?

No.

How should a girl conduct herself on her first date?

The girl has to be herself. I don't like people who try to put up an
act and portray something they are not. I like down-to-earth and
practical people. If I look at a woman and can say that she's good, I
think that would be more than enough for me.

How do you define GOOD? How do you measure goodness (in a woman)?

She has to be herself and not portray what she is not. She has to be
perceptive of other people's feelings. I don't like people with a
temper.

What kind of clothes should she wear?

Different kinds of dresses look different on different women. A saree
looks as good as a mini skirt. It's the way she carries herself and
the body that she has. I think womenknow best what suits them the
most.

But what do you fancy?

I like a girl in a saree.

Where should she take you?

For me the place doesn't matter, but the time that you spend with
your partner matters the most. It could be any place. Romance can
happen wherever two people meet. For me public places do become a
problem because people know me. I'm a die hard romantic.

I remember this one thing that I did long time back when I was in
Chennai for a shoot. Our hotel had laid our table on the beach and
while we had food, the waves gently lashed at our feet. I would want
to do that again. I love nature. I would love to go to the beach. I
will be more happy outdoors than indoors.

Your dream date?

I can't say...(laughs and winks)...main nahin bata sakta...

Your dream woman?

I like women with long hair and wheatish complexion. Beauty lies in
the eyes of the beholder. It's a bit difficult for me to describe
what's perfect because I might look at it very differently than
others.

What kind of compliment have girls given you?

Most women say that I'm a nice human being. When women compliment me
it's a good feeling but they all say the same thing.

What do you think is your sex appeal?

(Laughs) It's best said by the other person. It's difficult to talk
about myself. I'm very uncomfortable talking about myself. Most
say 'he is a sweet boy.' I'm very happy with that. No one calls me a
charmer.

Being single isn't it easy with someone as dishy as Hussain. You must
be loaded with marriage proposals...

To be honest I don't really get that many marriage proposals. I think
my mum must be getting calls but I don't. One woman met me once and
the way she asked me, "aapki shaadi ho gai hai?" mujhe samajh mein
nahin aaya, kee woh apne liye puchh rahi thi yaa apni beti ke liye!
It's embarrasing at times.

So is there a special person on the horizon?

I wouldn't want to say anything about that.

Hussain's game for some money

Walking in Aman Yatan Varma's shoes isn't exactly what Hussain
Kuwajerwala particularly enjoys, but the genial TV actor has loved
meeting real people for the repackaged game show, Khullja Sim Sim,
that will be aired on Star Plus every Friday starting yesterday.
Varma anchored the show for two years before it went off air. Says
Hussain, "The show format has changed a bit but the basic concept is
the same. The audience is young and energetic and interacting with
them is fun. I have a distinct style of my own, and since I am not a
big star, I smile more often on camera."

Hussain's cut his anchoring teeth earlier on Kismey Kitna Hai Dum
and Kuch Kar Dikhana Hai. "I was a cheerleader for Kismey Kitna Hai
Dum for a year before I had a solo show, Kuch Kar.... That
experience is going to be useful, I didn't feel nervous before
Khullja...I think the audience expects a normal kind of guy on TV
and that's what I am."

He, in fact, insists that he doesn't like tiring himself out. Apart
from the tearjerker afternoon daily Kumkum, he is barely visible on
TV: "I do the odd Kyunki Saas... track when there's a festive
episode, like Diwali, coming up. Actually I am very laidback, I like
to have my own life in order and working more than 20 days a month
isn't my cup of tea."

So Hussain does his daily workouts, plays with his young nephews and
when the grind gets out of control just picks up his bag and heads
for a short vacation: "I want to be mentally alert when I am on TV,
what's the point of being a burnout."

A Commerce graduate from Jai Hind College, he is also quick to point
out that despite rumours linking him with Juhi Parmar (his Kumkum co-
star) she is just a good friend. And unlike most of his smallscreen
counterparts he isn't likely to do "films right now."

Serials - Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
Kumkum-Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan
Krishna Arjun

Factor: Sex god and super hunk, Hussain has made it into the hearts
of many as the perfectly cute husband a woman could ask for.
Hussain's chemistry with costar Juhi Parmar is unbelievebale and
people love to watch them

Hussain K.K is a busy guy. From the sets to home, and then to the gym he has a frantic time. But the actor refuses to start his day without playing with his nephews. We meet Hussain at his home, where we find him wolfing down his lunch in a jiffy. He checks his watch to see how much time he has and then kick starts the interview:

You have come a long way from your first ad film
Yes, I have modeled for Close-Up, Perk, Rexona, Johnson and Johnson contact lenses, Leher Kurkure... (smiles). It is quite a long list. Ashirwaad on Zee was my first ever serial. It put me in the spotlight. With that show I finally felt that I was in the right place, doing the right thing.

But your big break came with Kyunki Saas...
Yes, Balaji has given me the biggest break of my life. The serial has become so popular that it automatically put me in the spotlight. I did not even have to try.

You seem to have been sidelined in the show in recent times
Yes, the younger generation has taken over. Their tracks are more prominent now. But I had a pretty good run, I must say.

You look too young to play an elderly character on the show. Do you find it difficult?
I was not at all comfortable with the twenty year leap. But I guess that is the challenge, to perform convincingly what you are not. Lot of people have told me that my nephews in the show look the same age as me, if not older.

Kumkum is going great guns though...
Oh yes. I am thrilled to be part of the show. It has constantly reinvented itself very well. The show has given me immense scope to perform as there are lot of dramatic scenes.

Do you feel that your character Sumeet plays second fiddle to the two women, Kumkum and Renuka?
Television in India is essentially a woman's medium. Serials are designed keeping in the average housewife. In such a case women are bound to be the centre focus of the story. But if you notice, men are essential to the plot too. After all, (with a twinkle in his eye) Kumkum and Renuka are fighting over me, the man in their life. So I have no complaints. (grinning)

On the contrary, Krisshna Arjun became more popular after you came on to the scene.
Yes, flattering isn't it? I was roped in when the format was changed and it has worked tremendously in favor of the show. I think every boy nurses a secret fantasy of bashing up the bad guys and mine is coming true (smiling) Besides I get to play my age.

In the show, the undercurrents between Shradda and you is interesting.
I think that is the crux of the show. It is a different kind of relationship than usually seen in our shows. Shradda and I share a good chemistry and it shows on screen. It is fun, to be pulling Krisshna's leg all the time, flirting with other girls, just to make her jealous.

Do you think the attraction between Krisshna and Arjun should turn to something more definite on the show?
No, I don't. That would mean losing the most intriguing part. The mental cat-mouse game between them is what makes the show really amusing.

Don't you think the action is a little amateurish?
We are catering to kids mainly, with this show. We can't show complex stuff which they won't be able to grasp. I know that children watch the show ardently. For instance, take my own nephew who is seven. He scrutinizes the whole show and then questions me,'how did you do this'? If Krisshna Arjun had been a very mature -action kind of show, he would not even want to watch it.

In the show, Kumkum and Renuka are fighting over me, the man in their life. Men are essential to the plot too
What about Kucch Kar Dikhana Hai
I have fondest memories of the show. It was a ball shooting for Kuch Kar... It felt good internally, to know that I could play so many roles effectively- the anchor, the detective and the soft-spoken husband.

In one way, is it a relief that Arjun and Sumeet are so different from each other?
Of course. I am lucky to play characters in two completely different genres. I can finish 'saving the world' in Krishna Arjun and then go protect my family in Kumkum. One is more like a comic book, while, the other is a regular soap. I should say it is an effective way of keeping the monotony from setting in.

You feel you have got a very good deal so far, as an actor?
Definitely. I have been lucky so far. It is great to have a job that you love so much. Not everyone gets that. I can't just look at the money aspect and go to the sets in a mechanical manner. To appear convincing on screen, you have to be in love with the character. When I look at myself down the years, I seem to have grown so much in confidence. You know, when I landed my first ever acting part in Aashirwaad I did not even tell my brother till the telecast date. I was too nervous.

Speaking of you brother, why haven't you worked with Qaeed so far?
Oh, I am dying to work with him. But the problem is I might get nervous if he is in front of me.(laughs) You know, it is a boon having someone like who understand television and cinema at home. We discuss angles and technique endlessly. It is useful as I also get to learn what goes on behind the camera.

So is the next step, films?
I hope so. Things are coming my way. I am ready to take the risk as I need to grow as an actor. I am glad that there are all kinds of films being made today.-small niche films which gives even unconventional actors a good chance.

Your brother told us you get a lot of fan mail
(looking embarrassed). Yes, I do.

What is the most embarrassing thing a fan did?
Well, there was this lady who was clearly over the hill, and she came up to me and asked, 'Are you married?' It was too pointed a question and I just wanted to run (grins).

What keeps you going?
My work which is my passion and my nephews. The more time I get with them, the happier I am.

Hussain Kuwajerwala (Article from BharatMatrimony.Com)

He is a Shah Rukh Khan fan. But women addicted to the tube are huge
fans of this dimpled man. Meet Hussain Kunwaranjanwalla, the Chirag
of Kyon Ki Saas Bhi Khabu Bahu Thi, Sumeet of Kumkum and Arjun of
Krishna Arjun. "I'd love to be what Arjun is in Krishna Arjun
but I know I cannot," confesses Hussain the hottest and the
cutest eligible bachelor on the tube right now. Hussain has worked
his way up the ladder. He started with performing for college plays
and than playing the lead in a serial called Aashirwaad on Zee
around four years back, to now being one of the most sought after
actors in television. For a man who once dreamt of being a pilot,
there must be no regrets at all. Thanks to his popularity on TV, he
is anyways flying high.

Date of birth: 12 October 1977

Motto in life: Live and let live. It is an attitude that everyone
should adopt if they want to make it big in life. There is no point
holding a grudge against someone. Life is too short to make enemies.
Acting: Was never a career option but after being appreciated for my
performance in college plays, I decided to give acting a shot.

What has worked in my favour: Being down-to-earth. This approach has
helped me a lot to be what I am.

On relationships: Understanding the other person selflessly and
without any expectations is very important for any relationship to
survive, whether it is a husband and wife relationship or just a
simple friendship. Compatibility is also very important. There is no
point if the person you are going to get married too or spend the
rest of your life with is not someone with whom you would want to
share your day's happenings.

What attracts me to a girl: What would attract me most would be her
nature. I hate girls who throw temper tantrums or are too stylish in
their approach to life. A girl with a sweet smile, long hair,
wheatish complexion and a little weight would attract me instantly.
Hussain's first crush was a schoolmate of his but he admits that
it was more than a crush as he had developed an infatuation for her
for quite some time only to realize later that it was not meant to
be.

The most romantic holiday: An evening somewhere alone on an island
with my beloved, but that is just a fantasy and I know by no means
that can be a reality.

I am close to: I am very close to my elder brother Qaeed. I'm a
very 'family' person. Rather than partying and clubbing he
says I would instead prefer a day or two in an isolated place. I
love to be surrounded by the greenery of nature's beauty.

Food that I love: Favourite is chicken, but I have to avoid now to
stay in shape.

Music that I love: Hindi music but when it comes to English, I only
like slow, soft and mushy numbers.

'It only gets better'

Murli Sharma

New Delhi, August 18: Success, stardom, money .... he seems to have it all. Undoubtedly, one of the most eligible bachelors of tellytown, young and talented Hussain, with four popular shows, all on Star Plus, just couldn't ask for more.

''I am sure it's just a matter of coincidence that all my shows are on Star,'' smiles Hussain and adds immediately, ''Also a matter of timing, that whatever I did, has appeared at the same time on the same channel. It's not in my hands. I had not planned anything. Not that I am complaining.''

A commerce graduate from Jai Hind College, Hussain, started off with Manish Goswami's Aashirwaad around five years ago, and followed it up with soaps like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kanyadaan, Sarhadein and Kangan. Meanwhile, he also modelled for Cadbury's Perk, Close Up, Vicks and Rexona. These days, you see him as a college student in Bag Films' Kumkum - Ek Pyaara Sa Bandhan. In Cinevista's Krishna Arjun, he pairs with Shraddha Nigam (Krishna) as Arjun, a dashing detective. He is also one of the anchors on Kisme Kitna Hai Dum along with Sonu Nigam and Gul Panag.

Hussain, who's got all his four shows starting with the alphabet 'K', again sees as a matter of coincidence. ''Again, it's something that is not in my hands. I don't decide the titles of my shows. So I actually see it as a mere coincidence,'' he insists.

With four shows including two dailies, life is obviously is hectic for the actor. But, he admits that this is how he wanted it to be. ''It's really nice. I am enjoying every moment. I wanted work going this way. It's good to be busy doing good work. There is hardly time for myself, so it's a little difficult but it's worth,'' he says.

Despite this, the young actor seems pretty cool about the time factor and thinks you should know how to manage time. Kisme Kitna... and Kyunki..., he says don't take up much of his time because while Kisme... is an anchor based show, in Kyunki..., his track isn't very regular these days. ''In Kyunki... the story currently revolves around other characters, so I am not seen as often as I used to be and in Kisme Kitna... we shoot one episode a day. So that leaves me with Krishna Arjun and Kumkum,'' says Hussain

Hussain confesses that Kyunki... was the best thing that could have happened not just to him but all the actors involved. ''It's given us so much recognition and fame. This soap can never be forgotten. It will always be a part of my life and I will always be a part of the soap,'' he adds.

As of now, Hussain is having a blast playing the smart Arjun in Krishna Arjun. He says, he identifies to some extent with the intelligent, suave, and confident detective, but wants us to believe he is not as flirtatious in real life as Arjun. ''Well, even if I was, do you think I would tell you?'' he laughs.

The character feels closest to him is Chirag of Kyunki... ''His life is quite similar to mine. Like him, I am also an actor and I am also very close to my family. I'm not a workaholic and love spending time with my family. It is just that my work does not leave me any time to do that. However, I make sure that my work does not mess up my life the way it has messed up Chirag's.''

Fame, says Hussain, has not affected him. That's because ''firstly, this isn't too great a success and secondly, there are so many people around me to put me in my place whenever success goes to my head: my family, including my brother, who directs Kasautii Zindagi Kay and my sister, a practising doctor in the US and above all, my mother with whom I shares a great rapport. She is my best critic since she judges me with the simplicity of an ordinary viewer.''

Quite content with where he is at present, Hussain believes in taking life as it comes. ''I don't believe in planning things. I only believe in working hard. I am happy in life. There is no end to craving and longing. I am sure if you keep working hard it only gets better.''

Hussain, actor and anchor

Nitin Joshi

New Delhi, March 6: Good looking, extremely presentable Actor-
host Hussain possesses the qualities that make a star. No wonder he
is the star of Kumkum Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan, the top-rated show in the
afternoon slot, while Khulja Sim Sim has made a comeback on Star Plus
(Fridays). So is it destiny, God, luck—what is it that this actor
believes in? ''Everything and hard work. Destiny of course does
play
a role. There is God of course. You have to be lucky enough and also
put in your best efforts. My mom would tell me when I would go for my
exams that do your best and forget about the result. Same with
life,'' smiles Hussain.

This guy has come a long, long way since his debut on Zee about seven
years ago in Aashirwaad. Then followed popular shows like Kanyadaan,
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Kisme Kitna Hai Dum, Kuch Kar Dikhana
Hai and the man was made. ''Aashirwaad gave me the ideal break.
It
was a very good show. I had a nice role in it with a romantic angle.
So it was a good start. With Kyunki..., it was like overnight
stardom. Then came Kumkum. And don't forget Krishna Arjun. Not a
bad
journey,'' he muses.

Talking of Kumkum, he plays the very loveable Sumit and admits that
he enjoys playing the character and says he's learnt a lot about
relationships in the course of acting in the serial. ''I am
basically
a family guy. So I relate to it completely. Though Sumit is too good
to be true. He is a perfectionist. He very seldom makes mistakes but
I do,'' adds Hussain. He says he is having ''a ball''
hosting Khulja
Sim Sim, so what that it exhausts him completely. But then the kind
of energy he exudes on the show is terrific. ''I loved the show
from
day one. I thank Star for showing so much faith in me. Hosting the
show is not as easy as it seems. Well, anything is difficult until
you put your mind and efforts into it,'' he continues in a
philosophical way. Hussain denies that there was ever any
apprehension taking on the show which was earlier hosted by Aman
Verma. ''I knew there would be comparisons. I knew he left the
show
at its pinnacle and I had to pick it from there. It was quite a
challenge. I did about two and half months of homework. The response
is overwhelming. The channel is very happy,'' he smiles.

Now that he has made it big on the small screen doesn't he dream
of
the big one? ''Of course it's every actor's dream to do
films but I
am waiting for the right time and the right break. Also television is
really happening. It is big today and there's good work to be
had. So
I don't want to rush. Also,'' he opens out his palms,
''as of now my
hands are full.''
