C upid strikes any time, anywhere! Actors Sachin Verma and Gunjan Walia can vouch for this. They got engaged recently after four months of knowing each other. The engagement took place on August 8 in Delhi. It was a family affair, done in pure Punjabi style. Fianc Walia is thrilled, "Sachin and I met through common friends. The engage- ment was, in fact, a surprise planned by our families." "We had a roka and an engagement cere- mony. The wedding is likely to happen only in 2008," says Verma who has appeared in shows like Kumkum, Pyar Ki Kashti Mein and the upcoming Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se. The ceremony was arranged so quickly that Walia didn't have enough time to arrange for her outfit. She wore a dress bought from Seasons. The memory of how Verma proposed her is very dear to Walia. "Sachin was planning something unique. Once, after a quiet din- ner at a restaurant, he asked for cookies and I found a ring in one of them. It was such a touching gesture," she smiles.
