Hussain

Khulja Sim Sim was the last show that Hussain hosted. Now, the actor returns to his favourite territory after a gap of over a year. "It's a reality show, titled Shabash India, on Zee.

We have people from various backgrounds coming in and displaying their unique talents.

It's very interesting, because these people hold records for doing certain things — walking in reverse, for example."

Is it similar to Ripley's Believe it or not? "I still have to see the footage, but yes, the idea is somewhat the same," says Hussain.

How does it feel to playing TV host again? "It's a great feeling. I had a great time doing Khulja Sim Sim. This time, however, my role will be different. I still have to work out my look and other details."

Kumkum role

How's he dealing with the new entrants and the turn in track in Kumkum? "It's a natural progression and I am going with the flow. Viewers have watched Sumeet and Kumkum for many years, so I guess they are curious enough to know what's happening in their lives."

The actor is also busy doing up his new house. "Although my wife, Tina, is doing most of the work, I try and help her out when necessary. The house is almost ready, except for a few touch-ups and some basic furnishing. One has to constantly keep chasing the carpenters and make sure the job is well done."

No vaastu

Is he planning to use vaastu shastra or feng shui in the new house? "I am against any such idea. I don't want to ridicule those who follow it, but I am not in its favour. I can find peace in any corner of my house, regardless of vaastu and feng shui."

The actor adds that he wants to create a sense of space, and likes minimal furniture in the house. "I don't believe in throwing too many things around. My idea is to give a spacious and comfortable feel to anyone who visits." Hussaina and Tina plan to move into their new abode in a month.
