'Kumkum- Pyara Sa Bandhan', the afternoon tear jerker heads for a new twist this week. Following the tradition of the other 'K' soaps where protagonists remarry without divorcing former spouses or immediately after shedding copious tears on their demise, in 'Kumkum' Sumeet (Hussain Kuwajerwala) is ready to remarry without ascertaining whether Kumkum (Juhi Parmar) has passed away.

Sanjay Upadhaya, Creative & Ideation Director, B.A.G Film, tries defending the twist, "Sumeet's misunderstanding has escalated to such an extent that he's convinced of Kumkum's infidelity.

Also Abha's selfless devotion to his family attracts him to her and he decides to marry her." If the grapevine is to be believed, this is a ploy to remove Juhi Parmar from the show in a similar way the lead character of 'Kkusum' was replaced thrice.

However, Juhi vehemently refutes allegations as 'a pure figment of the imagination of some vested interests who want to malign me and tarnish my reputation.'

She asserts, "This is being done purely for the sake of drama and to boost TRPs for the show." While it is true that the show has not been faring well, this seems the standard trick that producers use to bump off characters by momentarily making endearing protagonists turn to negative characters, so that the audiences take the replacement in their stride.

Juhi rubbishes the conspiracy theory and claims that she shares an 'excellent rapport' with her producers and colleagues on the show.

However, she concluded, "You'll have to ask the channel and the producers if they have any such designs. I am not aware of any such plan."

Many actors before Juhi were caught totally unawares when they were replaced in shows. Replacements in soaps are no big deal as the story takes precedence. Unless a character acquires an iconic status like Tulsi, Parvati or Jassi. And Kumkum is no icon.

'Kumkum- Pyara Sa Bandhan', the afternoon tear jerker heads for a new twist.It is rumoured to take a 20 years leap in April.There is no idea about the actors who are quiting the show because of the unexpected leap.The creative head of the show has not revealed the names of the actors who are going to appear in the show after the leap takes place.But there are rumours that the lead actress Juhi Parmar might quit the show as she feels uncomfortable to play an old character.In her earlier interviews she has told that she would like to quit the show if a leap takes place.But this news is not conformed as Juhi is unavailable.

Imagine is hussain does not quit kumkum and if there is a new kumkum would u all still feel like watching it ??? As for me i would still watch it cause my hero is in it but as far as the new kumkum i dont know wat i will do but i surely will not like her at all lolzzzz come on man i am sure all of ur think the same tht no one can play kumkum better then juhi no one am i rite?

Thanks for the article - I think it is just spectulation because she made a statement once.

If it does happen, I would like to see Hussain & juhi in kumkum wheather they are older or not.

Members still watch kasaty becuase of their fav actors.

As for Juhi it is up to her but I think she will think twice because other producers will not take her if she refuses to take a role which is not to her taste.
