Anuj Saxena- Urvashi Dholakia starrer Rishtoin Ki Dorr in trouble

In a casting coup of sorts, tellydom's big names, Anuj Saxena and
Urvashi Dholakia, were signed on the dotted line for Sony Sab's first
ever soap Rishtoin Ki Dorr. The USP of the show was said to be its
glittering star-cast and its big budget.
The show has managed to create controversies right from day one.
First, its original leading lady Anupama Verma walked out. This was
followed by its launch being delayed from December 2005 to January
2006. Later, that was reworked too and the show was slated to
premiere in the first week of March. But now that too looks shaky.
Off late, the grapevine is abuzz with rumours about the show being
scrapped.
Vikas Bahal Sr. VP content and communication, says, "There are issues
that need to be sorted out as far as Rishtoin Ki Dorr is concerned,"
he informs. "As of now, the show does not fit in the channel's
format, so we have doubts about going ahead with it." He admits that
the show is not going on air as of now and says, "We'll take it up
when we have a suitable format ready for it."
When asked about the promos of the show being abruptly pulled off air
he said, "We have only shot pilot episodes and that is the norm. I
would not like to comment further." Insiders say that this decision
was taken last week. The unit and the entire star cast was busy
shooting for the show and were completely unaware of this development.
Urvashi Dholakia sounded absolutely clueless about the show being
stalled.
"I'm in Panchgani and have no idea about it," she asserts. The lady
says that she has not shot for the show since five days. "They have
my blocked dates. But currently I'm on a break as they said that
didn't need me," says a baffled Urvashi. Actor Anuj Saxena was
unavailable for comment.
